Oh wow so many new options , trying out pla 2.0 this order too.
New marble variations too.
<$16/1.1kg delivered is frankly wild imo
Thought I'd check sunlu to see if same code/sale - they have other marble variations-Sunlu which are new as well.
I bought some marble in the last Jayo sale but haven't used it yet, want to see some prints before I buy more
Perfect timing. Thank you.
EBay plus.

Glad to help :)
How much was your shipping? Are u in WA or east?
Free. In Sydney metro.
does this work with Bambu Lab printers?
Yes. I have a Bambu P1P at home and we use the X1 Carbon model at work with an AMS attached and we use a lot of Sunlu and Jayo branded filaments.
Have you used esun/siddament? How would you rate it?
I’ve used siddament (using silk grey and transparent in ams mini right now!) and I would say as good tbh
Yeah, we have used esun, it's on a par with either of the above ones.
Siddament I have never heard of… so I cant really say on that one.
The spool doesn't fit on the AMS reel tho.. mine constantly fall off, even after printing an adapter.. Very frustrating.
Not had that issue with any of my Jayo stuff in my AMS.
Ohh, AMS or AMS lite?
I've never had one fall off and use this brand exclusively. Maybe try a new adapter? The adapter should be tight and doesn't move, then the reel spins freely on it (with a lip on the holder to stop the reel falling off)
Dont know about the work one. I just design shit and press "print". I have never had to change a reel out on the AMS, and if I did, I just tell the boss what I need in there and they chage it.
My P1P at home is only single reel feed. No AMS.
Use these https://makerworld.com/en/models/134494-bambu-hubcap-ams-lit…
They stop reels falling off the ams lite. 58mm version for jayo on this adapter printed in petg (sunlu makes jayo)

Hasn’t let me down once.
Black gone :(
Check the other resellers
This the same thing as the Sunlu brand?
Been watching over Jayo but unsure…
Jayo is a sub-brand of Sunlu.
Jayo = Sunlu but you get 100g extra. I have confirmed the extra b 100g :)
New colours now in pla+ for jayo. Used to be only in petg. Had to go sunlu for pla+
Cherry red sky blue sakura pink etc
Thanks thats awesome to know!
Must…. Resist… Have too much already…
It will be good for the economy!
Haha, same. Prob got 20kg. "Need" to find something to print again. Printed a 3.5" caddy yesterday. Otherwise mostly collecting dust.
Not me printing random shit all day everyday like this stupid sexy Alien
Printed in Jayo red, sprayed with black spray paint for a 2 tone high contrast look.
I couldn't resist
I think I need to use at least half of my 25kgs of filament before I even think about pulling the trigger
Is this deal really expiring in June? Feels overly long.
Would be good though since I'm waiting for them to start selling locally their matte PETG range.
I don't know when it expires.. ozb just had that prefilled and I couldn't find an expiry…
Deal is pretty much as normal, the difference is the 15-20% extra off due to ebay promo, though they have been known to jack up the price during these extra discounts.
Personally I like Siddament more but he's having trouble keeping stock because the product is better and yet a lowish price.
For regional customers it’s not even comparable. Shipping absolutely kills the Siddament filament unfortunately.
I picked up 10 rolls for $110 of Jayo. Various stuff. There’s always a couple which are just way cheaper than other things, like for example this time it was blue PETG. Last time it was green PETG. Go figure.
Such a huge PITA to find the cheap rolls though the way eBay lists prices.
I've bought 2 lots of this deal, although it was the buy 5 pay 3 deal.
Bought pla+ and petg, I'm new to 3D printing but have had absolutely no problems with any of the filament
I am looking to get a 3d printer. Can anyone suggest a good brand/model for a beginner ?
Thanks.
Bambu A1 or A1 mini. Ridiculous how easy it is to use, with great print quality
i can spend a little more. is the P series worth the extra money ?
Yes as you can enclose it and print ABS or other materials too. Consider the AMS if you want to print in more than 1 colour.
My A1 Mini is nearly flawless. My X1C, on the other hand, has given me numerous issues… I think I got a lemon. It needed repairs right out of the box (LiDAR), and during the repair, I lost a screw. Bambu refused to send me a replacement screw and I haven't found a similar one.
I usually print PETG.
If you only want to print pla/petg/tpu just get the A1. It’s better than the P1S in a number of ways as it’s a newer design.
Easier nozzle changes, automatic pressure advance calibration, much much quieter. The first two aren’t that big of a deal but I’d rather be in a room of three A1s than a single p1s.
I’d only recommend the P1S if you want to do abs/asa and other “engineering” filaments. That or >4 colour prints with multiple ams.
I find myself using the A1s most often over the P1S unless I need the above reasons. The new H2D uses a lot of the A1 design.
A1
If you go with Bambu Lab (which I highly recommend), definitely get the AMS bundled with it. It's a no brainer, especially as you've said you can spend a little more. All of their printers should have an AMS option to allow for multi colour printing
The AMS has been another major frustration for me—I keep getting filament stuck in the tubes. I've disassembled it so many times that the screws no longer hold.
I think most people are better off printing in a single color and painting afterward. Personally, I prefer using a Sunlu dryer as my spool holder. The AMS is also quite bulky.
I’ve printed plenty of hours over 4 AMS and only had to remove broken filament once via disassembly. Old PLA that’s been out a long time and absorbed a bit of moisture is more brittle and prone to breaking. A bit of time in a filament dryer usually sorts it. Only been an issue for me on the AMS lite as it’s not sealed.
I wonder if they improved the design slightly with later revisions. Mine are less than a year old.
You can now buy the x1/p1 bundles with the new ams 2 pro which I would recommend for new buyers.
I'd also look into the flashforge adventurer printer. Once it's done it's calibration it's just print and go.
Agreed, I have the adventurer 5m which can be had around the $350-$380 mark and is fantastic. Enclosure kit + STLs available for printing your own enclosure frame.
The 5M currently discounted again down to $327.20 ($409 - 20%) I couldn't be arsed posting the deal, but it's a terrific printer. I installed the Klippermod firmware and haven't looked back.
I just bought an "anycubic kobra 2 plus" off amazon for $212. Easy to setup and start printing, 320x320x400 print and pretty fast IMO. I can't get my head around good it is for the $$$
beginner here, started printing with PLA few weeks back, its ok, anything better/stronger should I try? PLA+ ? PETG? I am using flashforge adventurer 5M, with diy enclosure, thanks heaps
Go PETG, I'm using Jayo PETG on my Flashforge and it prints great with the Sunlu PETG settings in OrcaSlicer.
I adjusted the stock FF Generic PETG profile by not much and it also prints very well with PETG. I used 4 year old filament (after some time in a dryer) and got a great result for my enclosure components. Having a printer that just prints well without too much dicking around is such a good thing.
Where do you find the Sunlu PETG settings in Orcaslicer-Flashforge
I'm not using the Flashforge version of Orca Slicer but the regular version.
I have 10kg of unopened filament but this deal feels too good to miss
it comes around many times a year…but you are right, never a bad time to load up more
Dangit!
I paid $105 for their buy 4 get 2 free deal on Monday 😩
I bought 3 got 2 free on Saturday. Looks like I'm buying more. I have my Flashforge AD5M enclosure done now so maybe it's time to buy some ASA and ABS.
Mod has changed the price but I can't get that price… Is that cuz I'm in WA and shipping is $$$?
Just looked. Also in WA. $136.96. ($20 shipping)
Didn't order.
I think it's worth though.. cheaper sales are far and few between..
Got 20kg in the shed already. Bit of a drought with ideas for printing ATM. Just printed a 3.5" caddy yesterday but before was a month ago. Too many projects lol. Cnc and laser there too.
@Flyerone: haha, just clicked on it. Comes as a PDF and then google docs and fill in more info. Using burner email. See if i get it.
You don't think it's worth?
Is the PLA+ from these guys much different than normal PLA?
Other than bambu pla (because rfid, refills on sale, and laziness) I mostly use PLA+. It prints fine on the bambu basic profile but tuning gets it more dimensionally accurate. I haven’t done any strength tests etc but it seems pretty much the same to me.
I don’t know if the bambu pla basic is the same as “regular pla” or a similar pla plus additive like pla+
10 rolls is too much for me. Anyone in Perth want to go halves?
Why is TPU only available in 500g from most suppliers?
Getting through a roll of TPU can take a good amount of time, some suppliers do offer 1KG. However, after doing both I'd rather the 500G spool
lack of demand.
People don't tend to print in bulk using TPU - just smaller bits that need to be in flex. Whereas people print PLA or other 'hard' filaments in bulk. Other specialty filemnts also tend to be in smaller amounts e.g. Nylon
This is one of the areas where Sidd is good if you have other rolls to buy to maximise shipping (or are local).
https://siddament.com.au/collections/tpu
Any reason you won't ship to regional QLD? ie 4660
Gosh that's a lot of different types. What's recommended for a beginner? Regular PLA? Is PLA 2.0 twice as good? And what about every other one listed? Are they just for special purposes? Don't actually have a printer yet, but was thinking of getting the Flashforge 5M that's currently on sale.
PLA is perhaps the most common and widely used filament. It's not hard to print, relatively cheap and strong-ish..
PETG can be though of as the next step up. Same price (usually), but must stronger and in my personal experience, easier to print than PETG. It also wont melt in the Aussie sun, but it isn't specifically UV resistant. That being said, PETG will last quite a while in the sun (which I've seen from reddit posts, not personal experience)
Honestly, I barely print PLA.. Maybe sometimes for prototyping.. I just use PETG because its stronger and prints better. Don't take my word for any of this, I'd suggest you find a YouTube video. I've only been printing for around a year.
Note: PETG absorbs moisture (water molecules) and retains that moisture more effectively than PLA. Moisture is BAD. Not irreversible, but inevitable in Australia (in my opinion). Check out filament dryers. Filament dryers are essentially dehydrators but better. They contain a heating element in a closed box, a fan circulates the air and a vent at the top of the box for heat to escape (heat rises). Leaving your filament in these dryers for extended periods of time will remove the moisture from the filament, ensuring a better print. Drying your filament is important and should never be overlooked. Brand new filament can be moist.
From my own experience you'd want matte (in the end). The problem with "trying out" filament is that pretty quickly you'll want a good finish (hence me saying matte) but have 700g of that PLA you bought last month …
IMO the difference between a finish or material (or colour obviously) is way more noticeable than whether it's PLA vs PLA+ vs PLA 2.0.
Can you mix and match or do you need to buy only 1 type ?
Last time I could mix and match..
Thank you for this post! I recently purchased a Bambo A1 Mini + AMS Lite to get back in to 3D printing and needed to stock up on filament again.
I ordered 10x of the PLA+ 2.0 Version, one of each colour. I used the 15% off code, but the 10th spool does not include shipping so I paid +$20 for shipping. All up it was $178.04 for 10x rolls which I think is still good value?
When I built my hobby Anet A8 years ago there were not so many options! Does anyone have strong feelings about PLA vs PLA+ and PLA+ v2? PLA+ and PLA+ v2 were the same price, and less then $1.40 difference for a black roll of PLA (at full price) so I went with it to be safe.
I really wanted to get some interesting silk, glow, see-through, etc… types but thought I'd get the standards. Does anyone have any favourites I should shortlist for my next order?
Marble PLA looks awesome and hides layer lines really really well for clean looking prints.
We've gone through 2 rolls of this with great results https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B07P8YTQB5 (I havent looked to see if Jayo have marble or not)
PLA+ is not really a standard. What vendors sells vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. I just stick with the cheapest, some people swear by Sunlu PLA+ being stronger. It is a matter for you to test.
Jayo are a sub brand of Sunlu, which seem to sell under a heap of different brands. You see many vendors on ebay selling rebranded rolls, they have even started popping up on Facebook marketplace to escape ebay fees.
Cheers for your replies! The more I've been printing the worse my prints are getting, I've had constant break-downs almost entirely related to the filaments continually snapping. They're 7+ years old, they were stored in a cupboard but probably not well enough. I'm looking forward to these new filaments to see if that's the cause of my issues!
I've been seeing people having issues with filament when stored in cardboard.. it just becomes really brittle and breaks on touch..
just in time, was out of black and marble pla
