So Anycube seem to be clearing the 2 MAX printers and I found a hidden price on this listing. It's $369 with 2 rolls of PLA no code required. Their other listings are/were $400 min (after a $100 code) with one PLA max so it's the best I've seen yet. Not sure how long it will be available so if you want one I suppose you'll need to act.
Good luck.

Much larger build volume, probably a bit more tinkering required though. Not as easy to enclose if you want to use with ABS etc.

      • Yeah, these are for those who know what they are doing. There can be a bit of tinkering initially. It's mostly about size or upgrading to high speed maybe?

  • Thanks OP, bought one to see if I can make a large project printable. Even for any problems it might have this build volume is insane for the price. Actually tempted to buy a couple in case the project works and need to produce with volume, but will calm my farm.

    • What’s da project in high level detail?

      • Honestly nothing too fancy, just equipment that's no longer made that is approx 320x150x500mm so this printer is able to make parts to repair them or recreate the entire object if necessary without having to join parts.

        • I've enlarged (400%) a T-rex model from Thingiverse, it's huge. Next a human skeleton, life size. It's heaps more fun. This is all on my Elegoo though so far, this is still in the mail. Seems to function similarly. Looking forward to trying it.

          • @Jighuv: Using 0.4mm nozzle or bigger? I think I might go 0.8 on this one, seems the hot end flows pretty well so should cut down some time

          • @Jighuv: Can't argue with the price of the Anycubic. Only downside is its locked down firmware and doesn't seem like its possible to get vanilla Klipper on it without replacing the motherboard. Don't know how much difference it would make. I mean if it works it works, but apparently can't even modify the printer.cfg easily.

I'm still running Elegoos bastardised Klipper but at least with printer.cfg access have been able to tweak a few things, Installed KAMP too which is great. Haven't gone so far as installing OpenNept4une as not sure what touchscreen functionality is lost.
