Updated: Set expiry to 30 April.
First received an email from Jaycar about this earlier in the week.
Free delivery on orders > $100, or $8/$14/$25 for standard/next-day/bulk orders.
Belconnen store currently only has about 10 black spools left, but the salesperson said they're expecting "over 100" spools "by around Wednesday" of all three colours.
Expiry time of the deal is according to the website ("Save $5.00 Hurry! Offer expires in 12 days" as of 29 March), but salesperson in Belconnen store indicated that the price is going to stay $14.95 "until the stock is gone".
Description from website:
This filamant is from a recognised manufacturer and is so cheap you can use it for everyday Protoyping without breaking the bank.
It is PLA so will not run well at high speeds but is well suited to slower speed printing.
Creality Ender-PLA filaments are suitable to use on your FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) 3D printer with little to no change to your regular PLA settings.
PLA (modified PolyLactic Acid) is extracted and purified from corn grain for an environmentally friendly composition. It is low odour and users report a slight, sweet aroma while printing.
Features:
- Affordable and Cost Effective for Beginners and great for prototyping
- Good Compatibility, Simple Operation
- Neat Winding, Less Tangle
- Stable Wire Diameter, No Clogging
- Biological Material, Environmental Friendly
Printer Settings:
- Printing Temperature: 200-220℃
- Bed Temperature: 0-70℃
- Recommended Printing Speed: 50 mm/s
- Movement Speed: 90-150mm/s
I've not printed with this filament yet, so cannot comment on its quality. Reviews appear to be mostly good.
They have some discounts on other filaments too:
Creality CR-Silk PLA seem to all be either $20 or $25 off: https://www.jaycar.com.au/search?q=CR-Silk
No indication how long the Silk price is going to last.
Ha! I bought black and white last week for $19.95, for use in my Bambu A1. It prints well. No issues, just running general PLA profile.
I might go buy a couple more at this price.
