Finalmouse UltralightX Guardian Wireless Mouse - Tiger Large $199 + Delivery + Surcharge @ Mwave

130

Hey everyone, long time/first time.

Good price for this well reviewed, remarkably light mouse. Currently OoS on their own website. This mouse was supposedly their first not to be released in limited batches but is always unavailable on the Finalmouse site. 8k polling is apparently coming, not sure if available yet.

My order came to $219.07 inc. fees and delivery - unsure if delivery is different to states that aren't Tas.

Old mate still has a ball in his mouse.

      • With only 2 buttons and no scroll wheel! And PS2 connector.

I assume this is not a gaming mouse since there is no RGB?

    • +1

It is an ethical gaming device. No unicorns were harmed in the making of this peripheral.

I'm sorry but this is not a good price. This is a last-gen product with 3395 sensor. Maybe their new gen lineup coming soon? This so-called carbon composite plastic is too flexible compared to exotic magnesium mice. Watch this Video made by RTINGS

Yeah, it has extremely low latency, but is that extra 1-3 milliseconds worth the money?

38 grams is not so rare either. ATK F1 ultimate Come with latest 3950 sensor, has 8k polling rate out of the box, weigh 38 grams, It's super sturdy, come with web-based software and it is only 130$ if bought from Ali Express.

An ATL (from what I can tell) price for a mouse that routinely resells for well above is a good price.

And wym last-gen? Projecting a possible new model coming out for an 8-month old mouse does not make it last-gen. This is a current-gen mouse.

And as for the difference in price, you nailed it - is the latency difference worth it? $150 (don't duck fees - I didn't) to $220 is something some people will wear for that - others won't.

Also, this is a large-hand mouse at 38g. ATK is for small-medium.

      • @electricslapper An ATL doesn't mean it's a good price. Routinely resells on stockx? yeah there are a couple of sales a month because the mouse is not in production anymore. USA ran out of stock a long time ago. All Im saying is 220$ is not a good price for this mouse.

By Last-gen, I meant this is using the older sensor PAW3395. The latest sensor is PAW3950. same as you call intel 13th gen last gen/Amd Zen 3 is last gen.
There are mice with 3950 sensor in the market for months. Finalmouse still doesn't.

I know people won't feel a difference in performance with this new sensor. But you paid extra for those few milliseconds. You spend 150-220$ because you want the best-performing mouse. then why go last-gen?

Ok if you want a large hand mouse why not this new ATK X1 ? It has everything FM has and more for less money..

there is absolutely nothing wrong with using a well tuned sensor, if anything you want reliability over the new sensor feature (such as x-y indivual adjustment i have on my 3950 wlmouse max). cant feel any difference between them unless you need to adjust vertical axis independently.

if anything 8k is less relevent for most user out there, not only the battery problem gets worse, but also less game supports it, and many pc isnt even ready to handle that polling, in this whole gaming gear chain, 8k probably is the least impactful in it. Having a better sitting position probably does way more than that. (4k, even just 2k are more than enough).

dont get too asphyxiated with numbers especially "latest sensors" we've well passed those era. is ULX a bad mouse, ofc not. is it a decent price, it is, consider it is 189$USD from FM. are there good alternatives out there, sure. like the one you mentioned, and all wlmouses etc.

      • @Hornpub I agree with you. Its about shape and click feel 90% . Im using VXE F1 Pro in 1khz because I love how it feels in hands. can't feel any difference in 4k polling.

FM makes good mice. But, their mice are way overpriced to begin with. (Probably because most of the money goes to their marketing/Affiliate deals with influencers) Those prices had a reason in earlier years because they were the only ones who made magnesium/Ultralight mice. They started the trend of lightweight mice. Got to give them credit for that. But now there's no reason to buy their mice due to cheaper/better options available.

Take This extreme example of Diors 2800USD bag cost only 57USD to make. Ofc they make good bags. but if those bags went to half price, would you say

is Dior a bad bag, ofc not. is it a decent price, it is, consider it is 2800USD from Dior

Time changes things. what we call "Bargains" 8 months ago are not bargains now because there are better bargains available out there right now. ULX can be a perfect mouse for someone. paying 220$ will be worth it for someone. But it doesn't make it a good deal.

        • +2

totally get your point. i do not like nor will buy another FM mouse any time soon. seeing the ULX's "carbon fiber" is just a joke.

but again, deals are deals, i have ppl message me want to buy my ulx for 200$, coz i put it up for 250$. so for them, this post would be a "good deal".

nothing is wrong with him posting it.

    • Does anyone else sell magnesium shell mice

      I want but too expensivr

      • +1

        WLmouse probably

        • wow thanks

this is cheaper and looks as good

          are they reputatble?

      • @furythree there are several options. But there are no many Aus sellers, you will have to buy from places like Ali Express, Mechkeys, Amazon International, Max Gaming etc.

        1. WLmouse Beast x / Beast x mini 230AUD+
        2. Dareu A950pro
        3. Darmoshark M2 110USD
        4. Attack shark R3 146AUD
        5. Keychron M3 mini metal edition 149AUD
        6. Mchose Ax5 Pro 80-100USD
        7. Pwnage Stormbreaker 169USD

They are all Magnesium mice and I don't own any of these. Some mice are poorly reviewed. WLmouse looks pretty good. It's highly recommended to do your research before you buy. r/mousereview is a good place to start. Also, Boardzy from Youtube is pretty good.

        • bookmarked

          cheers for the list

          which ones are poorly reviewed?

  • +1

I wouldn't buy a Finalmouse considering their horrid QC. Much better options available now.

    • Agree, but I also had Finalmouse fix my mouse for free when there was a double clicking issue, out of warranty. They only charged me a cleaning fee because the holes attract gunk lol. Nevertheless, better to have no issues in the first place

  • There's absolutely no way in hell I would consider paying even the reduced price, especially with companies like G-Wolves and others offering products that are as good if not better, and at a better price Final Mouse is an overrated mouse company.
