x1080 in 2025 when Dell came up with 6k monitor already, naaah (post is appreciated anyway)

    • my chg90 is still fine for gaming. (my g95nc is better though :`D )

      specially at this price point.

Not everyone has a 5090 to push those pixels.

I got the Samsung 5120x1440 as my home office display (also, tried it for gaming out of curiosity); based on that I am pretty sure that 3840x1080 on a 49" would be pretty useless for either productivity or gaming —no matter how cheap it is.

yeah it was really weird this resolution even exists for this big of a monitor

I've used one of the first gen Samsung QLED 3840x1080 for gaming and honestly it was fine. I don't get why it's useless for productivity, that's a pretty strong claim when most 27" screens workplaces run at 1080p anyway. This monitor is literally just two 27" without the bezels in the middle. It will be fine for that use case.

Is the 1440 better, hell yeah lol, but screens of that resolution will set you back at least $1000. I wouldn't buy this lower resolution one myself, but it might be useful for some.

That res ouch, the pixels must be the size of lightbulbs.

49” diagonal is only about 13” in height. Look down and double the size. 1080P is perfectly fine for that size. It’s not great. But it’s fine.

Isn't this just effectively two 1920x1080 24" screens side by side ?
Pixel density will be just fine, as per a basic 24" 1080p screen, and you'll be able to game on a less than stellar graphics card - it's only pushing half the pixels of a 4K screen (which makes sense, as it effectively IS a 4K screen chopped in half vertically).

I've got no issues at the price of $779

    • I’ve got the 5120x1440 Samsung and wouldn’t be able to live with 3840x1080 on this screen. Horses for corses and each to their own.

More like two 27" I'm pretty sure.

It's also important to consider your viewing distance. Lower PPI isn't as bad the further away you are viewing it.

        Yes. 2x27

Sim Racing is great on the UltraWide
