You lay on it, and you can hang upside down or at any angle you choose. De-compresses spine, might help with back pain.

PS This has been on sale a for at least several weeks. I didn't want to ozbargain it so those who had a genuine need for it could find it.

  That's very unlikely. Unless you have very fragile spine that has been operated on.

the good ones allow you to hang totally from your ankles. wonder if this does. doesnt appear to be able to do that. on amazon they have a wide range and some can do this. great reviews of it working too. not too much info can be found about this particular model though

  You can hang vertical from your ankles, not so sure it will lock-in while vertical.
