  • Superb g84 deal…

  • how about those cameras compare to say s22?

    • +7

      😂

      • wife only cares about camera, and i would like to have 1T microSD instead of spend 2K for those 1T flagship phone.

        • +1

The flagship level camera in the S22 is much better.

          • @shxhshzhz: guess i will have to remind her to transfer those media more frequently

    • It might be worth reading the extensive "Gcam" chat in the last deal: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/853859

      • +2

Downgraded my self from S22 ultra to G84. After installing GCAM i dont see any difference in the pictures compare to S22 Ultra.

  • Does the G84 support eSim or is it physical dual sims?

    • +1

      dual nano

Hammering the free Amaysim esims on the G54 with no issues: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/854734

Love eSIMs in my $135 G54.
Grabbed the 120GB Amaysim FREE after cashback

Nice ! … I got sick of running around hunting out decent speeds from Telstra Pink WIFI phone boxes to upload the 700GB of vids to my 'Slow-TV' channel for my recent Simpson Desert double crossing, so when yesterdays Amaysim deal popped up I bought 4 90gig esims so I can sit back in comfort in the bus while uploading and not have to hunt out the 'Pink-Boxes' constantly, lol https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL4IO7m8cxw6qBQ2BLE7Wk…

@FLICKIT: Is that you on your motorbike? Impressed!
Watched the Teaser - going through the water in Eyre Creek.

            • @INFIDEL: Yeh, another one of my typical winter desert trips, currently sitting over on the Fraser Coast doing maintenance before heading for Cape York again in a couple of weeks :p

              • +1

@FLICKIT: Wise to head North - a bit cold back home❄

                Always enjoyed viewing your travels.
Will watch more of your vids later. Have plenty of FREE data!

                • @INFIDEL: I was near going to hang around Birdsville and do another ride out there but so much rain has been coming through it seemed wise to run to the coast and then head north, avoid all the crap… My Slow-TV vids are super boring, lol… The whole Canning Stock Route is on that channel also, 63 hours of footage (last years ride)… (this years 1400km Simpson trip was only 37 hours)…

                  • +1

@FLICKIT: Like how you have Teasers.
Easier to get into a longer vid, knowing what to expect.

Have watched Slow-TV on SBS. Can be relaxing & interesting.

Motor 84 should be less than $250, too.

    • Why stop there ?

  • Are these ATL?

    • No, but it's the best price available as EOFY sales are over for anyone who missed them.

  • +1

Great specs for the price. Just don't expect stock Android to be anything like a Pixel.

    • It’s not bloated, I’ve a G51 and wish android baked in most of motos gestures.

      Karate chop = torch
      Twist phone twice = camera
Zigg zagg touchscreen = split screen
      Three finger touch = screenshot
The list goes on (like no on screen nav buttons, side drawers, stock animated wallpapers omg lovely)….

  • Lets vote which one is a better bang for the price.

  • Just for everyday use mainly FB, gmail & whatsapp, I guess G54 or G84 in law won't notice any difference?

  • +1

bought one. 270 is cheepish enough and screens clear to view. Only thing i wish it has was wireless charging but ill cope.

  • Got the g84 from mobility. Not a bad device, screen is noice.

Hopefully the g84 and hold up to some ePSX and PPSSPP and backbone gaming with the remote play on PS4 and 5.

    • Curious to know, anyone try run skyline or yuzu?

  • How is this compared to my Samsung A73? I got my A73 second hand really cheap a year ago and it's always lacked snappiness (probs due to one ui) and it's camera isn't that great anyway.

Would this be a good sidegrade? The G84 seems to be similar and better in most of the specs and I really like the addition of the 3.5mm headphone jack.

  • I logged in and it said I'm a perks member, but how do I get the 10% discount?

    • Perks code sent to email.

  • Got a message that my current phone won't work when the 3G network is turned off.

    Will these phones work?

    • These are newish 5G phones, so yes they will work.

  • Well, we HODL but JB didn't do a coupon-less $149 deal.

Luckily I used my $50 3G trade in coupon with a further price match for an effective $147 price on 30 June… didn't want to gamble and waste time eyeing G54s any more.

    • Where did you get $50 3g coupon

  • +1

G54 is a cracking good deal for a really serviceable budget phone.

  • I'm upset that the $179 JB HIFI G54 can be upgraded to android 14 but not the Amaysim one :(

  • Nice deal
