Works fine in a mobile phone for data - can also receive incoming text, but I do not think it can send outgoing text.
IIRC it can only be an issue with Telstra & Vodafone .. Amaysim uses Optus
All good for me with an esim on a cheapie Motorola G54 phone, it was all very easy with scanning the QR-code… (only using it for data… first time using an esim)

By the wording of both companies it seems as long as you're getting a new service (new number or porting in from another company), you're all good, you cant use this a a renewal, or use this with an existing Amaysim number….

Nah, all good, I found a sweet spot for the phone where I get good speeds (7-12Mbps) so I got all my youtube vids uploaded and hammered through the 4 sim cards in no time at all :D
@killingtime: 380GB on the first 3, they all well and truly overshot their 90GB limit, (best one did 151GB), still going on the 4th one, we'll see what this one does :D
Just checked Amaysim on phone, 2.5Mbps, Amaysim in my 4g router with external antenna 60Mbps, and have seen it reach 100Mbps(Down speeds).
I've been using them all the time, so it should be.
FYI: Auto-renew seems to be on by default, so go into settings-Auto-renew in your account, jump through the hoops to authenticate, and turn it off ;)

I have no idea, I've never used Whatsapp, but it seems you can receive sms/text messages on the data only plan, but you cant send them, so if you need to authenticate via sms or such that seems possible…
WhatsApp-calls use mobile-data-only & hence 'Data Only SIM Plan' will work.

Uploads and downloads are counted for the most part, I'm mainly using these to upload Gopro footage to youtube (away from home mid-roadtrip)…. That first sim did 120GB up, 7GB down, so I overshot the 90gb limit by 37gb…..
I'm almost through my second 90GB sim now, I haven't added it up accurately yet but it appears this one will go a few gig over also, only 5 or 6 I think, not as much as the last one unfortunately…
Edit, just finished the second sim, 101GB total, mainly uploads, only about 7GB of downloads again… Just activated my 3rd, we'll see how this one goes :)

Yes it tracks… If you look at the conditions on the CR site it says:
Cashback is ineligible on the following: Codes not listed on Cashrewards (codes that auto-apply on amaysim's website at checkout are eligible)
So from that the code auto applied at checkout should be fine…

Tracking-errors is common…proof: read novice comments @ these money-back offers.
Users' browsers are different (Firefox, Chrome, Edge etc) & so is APP-Android/desktop preference.
@RTY: Try purchase via APP-Android14. My tracked with Android-14 for Motorola: standard settings.

Be careful with Shopback cashbacks. They are becoming less honorable and you can only claim a missing cashback at some arbitrary time no earlier and no later than 7-30 days from point of sale. You can't trust that they will honor it just because it tracked and all the terms were met. I specifically bought something because of it's cashback, it tracked correctly in my shopback account but shopback didn't register the sale. I reached out to @gotyourback but they said because it's beyond 30 days they decided they don't want to make it right.

Same experience, I've had dodgy encounters with them and they suspended my account with hundred of cashback still in pending status.
I reached out to them, and they told me that I somehow breached their terms of conditions, and my account was indefinitely suspended.
TCB + CR > SB all the way now. GYB doesn't live up to their name anymore!
Shopback says its only $20 cashback for the $30 plan now.
