    In my experience painting quotes are so rubbery that 10% off doesn't mean much.

      Same. Last time I got a quote to paint the interior of my house, they turned up on the day and said that there was a cost rise on the paint and blah blah blah and they there was a new price. I told them to not even bother unpacking their van.

      Seems to be same reason they say they are "Hurstville's local painters" even though they're on the other side of Sydney- far from local.

      So basically they'll say anything, even if untrue, just to try to get some business. Basically not to be trusted.

    This reads more like an advertisement than an actual bargain. 10% off an unknown price is not really what OzB is meant for. You can get painting done cheaper elsewhere anyway.

    I was quoted $150 by some random Irish guys that knocked on my door that had some left over paint from a job down the street…

    I dare say they would quote, then over quote by 10% and give you the price and tell you to knock 10% off as a "deal".
