Hahaha you took them all! I was going to jump on it at $30. Ah well, I'll just take the belt sander to my existing ones and whack on some more hardwax oil, good as new!
Nice, I've been thinking about getting one of these for a while, but not for $100-$150. This is very much more my price range.
I bought this exact board for under $50 another time. If you missed today you can be confident it's not your last chance.
Thanks OP!
Great use of some Commbank reward points :)
Out of stock for me
the larger size is also 60% off https://www.myer.com.au/p/the-cooks-collective-acacia-end-gr…
hm a number of poor reviews on myer…
I've had this board for a couple of years. I don't use it every day or anything, but it's been fine. It's stood up to the Global knives ok. It's also quite heavy, for what it's worth. It surprises me every time I pick it up.
OOS bruh :(

Ty for that just bought one now you legend 💯
That's OOS also 🙁
Nice, was tossing up getting the very expensive MAKO in similar dimensions, give this one a go before deciding if I like end grain vs the plastic dishwasher safe boards we typically use.
I've gone the other way over time. Having the option to throw it into the dishwasher and already having non-slip feet.
But I'm (clearly?) not the type who has fancy knives or into cooking and kitchen stuff lol
They have a bigger version of this for $59.98. 50x35x3cm

yusss i bought the bigger version last weekend with a $10 voucher they sent me.
i noticed with all of them the handle section had a tiny gap where the wood joins. anyone has this same gap in theirs?
This is total insanity

Yes and no
I can’t think of any other chopping board with a lifetime warranty for a start, nor another brand using natural grain olive wood
The board will last for a very long time with proper care, and if it doesn’t, lifetime warranty
I’d rather have this board than most others on the market, but of course the price is excessive
You can get Olive wood chopping boards a lot cheaper than that. I bet that natural wear and tear will be take out of the warranty. I like olive wood but it works well when it is something you hold. I have a number of olive wood stirring spoons and they feel wonderful.
Just wondering where you got your olive wood items from? Don't remember seeing them at the stores. Thanks.
@trixieb: I bought this set from Costco in Australia when they were on special.

I got a couple of others from a farmers market. These are a tad worn now but I’ve had them for years. They have a corner bit that provides a square edge to get into the crevices of the pot.
This is like the ones I got from the market

@try2bhelpful: Thanks for the info :)
@trixieb: No probs. Etsy also had some Olive Wood chopping boards as well.
With my chopping boards I have a metal grid underneath them so they drain off and don’t sit in water.
I also noticed IKEA has a dish drainer that would be good for pots, saucepans and InstantPot components. I have an OXO thing that is similar.

Both this and the large versions are out of stock!
Thanks bought a different one
Not a fan of chopping boards that aren’t a single slab of wood. Someone change my mind?
End grain boards don't dull your knives as fast. That's about it tbh.
I don't think there's a huge difference, both are better than plastic.
End grain does have a bit more of a self-healing property to it though due to direction of the timber fibers, so they'll close up a bit better on some scratches.
What it does to the edge of your knife though is probably more down to the timber used and how hard it is.
I think end grain is generally more traditionally used for butchers because those things would take a bit more of a beating and would be less likely to crack.
Same. Every board that's 'glued' warps in no time.
I buy cheap bamboo (grass) cutting boards. Work for me, but I think maple is supposedly the best wood.
I have several absolutely beautiful chopping boards but I go to my cheap IKEA bamboo ones mostly, They get the job done and are light to pick up and scrape things into the pan.
Here's a good option for those who missed out.

Teak is a nice wood not often available at this price. Managed to grab one with the $10 voucher from Myer. Total comes to $13.98.
Had one of these, I don't like the grooved channel around the edge as it wasn't easy to wipe down.
Ohh I can look like Notorious Foodie
Time to be an instagram chef!
Ordered the big one 6 hours ago and just received cancellation email…
Myer…good job and you did it again
