[QLD] Sea World Resort (up to 4ppl) from $254.15/Night - Inc. 2 Days Entry Sea World, Movie World, Breakfast + More @ Sea World

FORYOU

Sea World Resort - Stay, Play & Save. Similar to a deal I posted over 5 years ago: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/432639

What's included:

  • Accommodation from $299 per night for up to 4 people
  • Unlimited entry to Sea World, Warner Bros. Movie World, Wet’n’Wild & Paradise Country for the duration of your stay
  • FREE buffet breakfast at Shoreline Restaurant daily
  • Valid for stays until 30 September 2024, must be booked by 31 July 2024.

Last time we stayed one night and did the following:

  • We checked in early at 10am
  • We left our bags and had full day access to Sea World (room was ready part way through the day)
  • On the second day, we had breakfast early, checked out of the hotel and spent the whole day at Movie World.

I have booked one night in August for four people for $299 - including 2 adults and 2 children. The price has increased by $100, but it is still cheaper than buying separate park tickets or deals (as far as I know, please correct me if I'm wrong!) - as four of us at Movie World for one day is coming in at $456. It is also my understanding that the hotel has had some renovations since I stayed 5 years ago.

UPDATE: Thanks to man2000 for commenting. Before completing your room search, enter code "FORYOU" and the price comes down from $299 to $254.15 on certain nights.

It’s a great deal, we got something similar a few weeks ago to stay second week of school holidays!

When you factor in the theme parks price for 2 adults and 2 kids, and the included brekkie…

    Highly recommended.

    • Great to hear. What was the condition of the resort like?

      • +1

        Will let you know,
Sorry for not making it clear, we’ve booked to go on the 22nd for 5 days.

        • +1

Great deal - enjoy your holiday.

They're currently renovating a lot of the rooms.

We stayed there a couple of weeks ago and the rooms felt dated and on the small side but it was clean.

The outdoor water play area was great for the kids and it had a spa.

Overall, pricing is very reasonable, and would even consider it cheap across all the parks and in the general area ($2 cans of soft drink in Miami Marketta).

      • Bit dated, but clean, convenient, service is good. There's a fair amount to do in the resort for families if that interests you.

        I went last year.

Thanks for the post. We were thinking of staying down the coast for 1 night and this seems like a great way to do it.

  • cheers brah , this looks quite good.

  • ugh, tried to book for something during summer holidays, but only good for up to the 30th of September 2024

      Will update post

      • Tired the code and it was working. accidentally closed browser and searched again and the code seems to be dead. Anyone else having same issue?

        • +1

Code doesn’t seem to do anything…. Maybe it’s just the days I’m picking??
Edit: yep, only works for July/Aug which only have weekday availablity

Did this last year, it's great value. Checked in early at Sea World opening time to collect park tickets and spent the day in Sea World, they texted us around lunch time that our room was ready so collected keys and dumped bags before hitting the water play areas. Checked out in the morning and skipped the breakfast as the queues were insanely long and it would have been at least an hour waiting in line to get a table. Breakfast at maccas across the freeway from Movie world, spent the day at movie world then headed home.

Rooms are a little dated and we had a room with a door to the next room which had noisy people in it. Had to block the nearly inch high gap at the bottom of the door with towels to try and block the noise a bit. Overall for one night it was fine and great value with the tickets for a family of four.

Edit: A tip for parents is to use the parent swap, I lined up for rides had my turn then got off grabed the kids and my wife got to skip the line and have a turn straight away without having to line up.

    Pro tip:
    - Book 1 night
    - Arrive 8am day on check in & collect tickets for theme parks (rooms not ready)
    - i.e. You'll get theme park access for 2 days only paying for 1 night
    - Confirmed this works

    not as good as this

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/805928

ended to be be $183 a night with theme park access to 6 days for 4 people when they had 10% off and also 15% off celebration gift cards that can be used at luxury escapes

    • Yes this was a really great deal - but I have family to stay with on the GC and only want to visit each park for one day.

      • you going to paradise country hahaha

        • No thanks! I only really count Sea World & Movie World worth seeing. Too cold for wet'n'wild.

    • This is so good ended cost us around $1800 including flights and 5 nights and all the theme parks for us 4!! Kids (and me) had so much fun.

Again the resort is okay for the younglings (I got 8 and 5yo) , yes its bit old but clean and 0 complain from them.

      • did you go before the renos or after?

        • We went on 1feb this year

          • @Deink: Oh even renovated still look old?

            • @Poor Ass: Yeah but again, its clean and I dont jave any complain at all

  • Ive stayed here a few times now, and its been good for the kids. Can recommendations on similar stays around Australia?

  • Ive stayed here a few times. rooms are small and need work, since the monorail is not operating around seaworld it can involve alot of walking and they do not have nearly enough carparks at the resort meaning in the past ive had to park on the road out front or even in front of seaworld and get bussed to the resort making me worry about the security of my car

    • +1

When we stayed the carpark was at capacity for us too

    • What happened to the mono? Is it gone for good or just bring fixed.

      • they closed it for the construction of the wooden roller coaster and never re-opened it

  • It asks to add breakfast separately when booking. I hope its included!

    • Got asked the same during checkout though the confirmation text says includes buffet breakfast

  • +3

How do you get this discount? Most rooms show around the $400 for the whole of September '24.

    • There are dates in August still available.

  • +1

Checked availability and their website is giving me $499 for stays at the end of September, so don't see the deal here. Code FORYOU does not help.

    • There are still dates in August available.

  • Stayed here a few years ago with our kids. Rooms were tired/old. Seems they are being refurbed now.
The kids did enjoy the buffet and the splash park. We did the same as others and did SeaWorld the day of check in, not the biggest place but they have a new coaster now.

Booked in again in October, hope the rooms are improved as this was the biggest issue/complaint last time.

  • Can you get in to the buffet both days? Like check in and get brekky then go to the theme park on the first morning? Wanna maximise my savings haha

  • +1

I stayed here last month with the luxury escapes deal — if you're from interstate, you'll need a car but there's ample free on-site parking. the hotel is tired (reception is reno'd), bathrooms are appalling but the room has new flooring & had a lick of paint… kids enjoyed themselves — I wouldn't be paying full tilt at this place — equally half of movie of world/sea world was being Reno'd / under maintenance so rides weren't available and the paradise country was immensely underwhelming — ok value at these levels, I wouldn't specifically fly into the gold coast for the deal.

    • Thanks for the input. was contemplating travelling into QLD for this deal

  • the last similar deal was when it was via luxury escapes and it stacked with 15% off gift cards from Coles. + cashback. Very worth it.

  • +1

Surcharges apply for weekends, school holidays, and other room types.

For those booking end of September it's school holidays (at least in Vic and they would charge extra then)

  • What’s the weather like early September ?

    • Wonderful! Usually dry, warming up, a little windy but not hot and humid yet.

  • +1

Are there any families with 3 or more kids that have stayed there? Seems to only cater to 4 people max.

    • +1

Same here as well, you may book 2 rooms, same as when I go to cruise need to book 2 rooms

    • Yes there are family rooms. Two queen beds and a pull out bed. Makes the room pretty tight. Else two rooms I believe.

  • Booked in the morning but yet to get a confirmation email or sms.

    • I only booked about 30 mins ago and havnt received confirmation

    • I booked yesterday morning and haven’t received anything as well.

    • +1

I booked on the 1st of July but I haven't got any confirmation email nor sms. I was charged 10% only. Is that ok?

      • I emailed them and they came back with the confirmation that its booked. 10% is the deposit and the remaining amount to be charged 7 days prior to checkin I think

        • Got it, thanks a lot!

  • How do people find sharing a room with kids while on holiday? It's different for me because not my kids, but unless they're very young I would prefer to have a separate bedroom so they can go to bed earlier and I can chill out for a bit. Am I in the minority? What's the oldest you would do 2 adults and 2 kids in two queen sized beds next to each other? If there was a separate living room I think it would be different.

When I was looking I noticed most places had all the beds jammed in 1 room. I booked a 2 bedroom apartment somewhere else for $220/nt during school holidays. Queen in 1 room, 2 singles in the other. No breakfast or theme parks included though.

    • We have three kids 13, 11, 9. It is getting to the point now we need two rooms or more else we go crazy - though for a one/two night stay we can deal with a few beds in the one room. Depends what we are doing, normally we are out all day and really room is just for sleeping/getting ready.

When they were younger it was no issue and they are happy to share beds, sleep wherever.

After a busy day doing stuff it helps everyone having a bit of space.

That being said for the price you pay for these deals including tickets we deal with the one room else the prices sky rocket. We normally then get a 2 or 3 bedroom apartment in surfers to extend the trip out or do some more road trips further north.

      • Makes sense, thanks for the perspective. I do think we could probably do it for 1-2 nights. The girls I'm caring for are 9 and 11 and are happy to share a bed and sometimes prefer it when we're away from home, but they do sometimes need a little space. During the school holidays it's also a fair bit more expensive so not as much of a saving on tickets.

  • Looking to book for one night this month but likely won't be there till around 5pm. Do I still have the theme park access the next day / the day we check out?

    • Wondering this too.

    • Yes you do.

  • Havent been to Theme parks for a while.
Whats the situation with Movie World, Sea World and the need/use of fast passe these days

  • Is the ticket only valid during the stay or FROM the date of stay? A friend of ours received the theme park vouchers but didn't use them as they already had annual passes. The ticket says "two consecutive days from" [Date]

  • +1

Just had our stay on Sat/Sun. Was incredibly happy with the value in this deal - and surprisingly our room was ready upon arrival at 10am (the other two families we went with were not as lucky). The rooms were clearly renovated since I stayed years ago; I thought all Resort amenities were tip top.

There were a few rides/attractions closed in Sea World park and Movie World, but that is to be expected in the off season. A couple of things:

    • resort parking was available at 10am, and full by the time the park closed. People might come and go for dinner in the evening but I would not have enjoyed trying to play 'musical chairs' with the carpark later at night.

      • Buffet breakfast was fantastic. We made the effort to be there before 7am and were seated immediately. Very shortly after the line stretched all the way back to reception, and was still that long when we checked out at 9:30am. Pro tip: poached eggs are my pick of the egg choices, but you have to go to the end of the warm buffet and ask the chef who is dedicated to serving them. I didn't know you could use cold water to preserve a perfectly poached egg, and then 5secs in boiling water and it's warm on your plate.

    Thanks OP!

  • Our stay was last month, VERY happy with the resort, will be back!

Room was nice, clean and fairly modern. Shower was lovely.

Buffet was great, and a good opportunity to fill the kids up prior to the parks,
DO arrive early, the queues are Mahoosive, BUT, do move fairly quickly.

DO be aware that there's a 'bogan' factor to the cheap tickets, shoving a herd of hundreds of people in a buffet with free food can result in some horrible behaviour :-(

Visit paradise country, it's a nice few hour distraction.
