Can be had for $55 during the right sales at Aliexpress.
Good bang for buck compact mech keyboard

    Need this but full size

    • I'm curious, what would be the benefit of fullsize over a 95%/1800 keyboard like this? I'm not sure I'd ever choose a fullsize again, either going this route or 75% w/ separate numpad.
The space saving is legit and much more comfy in my experience.

Use page up/down, home and end and number pad constantly for academic work. Have tried more condensed keyboard layouts but just can't get used to them.

I recently got a AK820 for $47 from aliexpress. While it is great value the materials used for their switches are very prone to pinging and causes lots of clacking on the rebound of the press. Overall good value keyboards but you will have to have the patience to mod it if you are after thock. I have had to apply the following and now it sounds decent to me

    tape mod
    PE mod
    lube the switches and springs
pad the end of stem so it stopped clacking against the bottom of switch housing (the biggest difference)
lead tap the under side of wider keycaps
    double o-ring
    Poron switch pad
    Force-fit

and this is on top of factory included
    gasket mount
    silicon bottom layer
    bottom cotton layer
    PET soundpad
    Poron sandwich pad

so yeah…alot of work to make these switches and keyboard sound better. I semi-wish i just spent more and got a better brand ;)

You could always just swap out the switches but extra $ for those switches

    • Agreed… I bought the AK992 and ended up returning to Amazon… The Ajazz keyboards are like the budget lines of Epomaker and have cheap keycaps and hollow cases that will generate a lot of pinging noise

  • i was only recently looking for a bluetooth keyboard to use with a ROG Ally.

but was after full size and not foldable, i think one of these will be the winner
