  • I didn't think OW price beat MyDeal as they're grey imports?

    • According to here, someone did it.

It depends on who is selling them on MyDeal - they price match when they're sold by MyDeal themselves, but not when sold by third party sellers. Of course depends on the store/manager.

    • I got them today from officeworks, price beat MyDeal. $280.25

I don't understand how retailers can sell airpods for so cheap but apple never budges on their website. It's like counter to everything else. Are they like old stock or what? They're 297 at jb too (And it doesn't say they're discounted), but 399 on apples website.

    • Apple aren’t keen on discounts anyway as it has positioned itself at higher end of the market.
And maybe if I was to be charitable not wanting to undercut retailers.
Which many other brands with their own online store do all the time.

On these particular APP2, this is about as low as they get. But I would be curious if it was Australian stock or a grey import.

Also, Prime days week after next. Usually does a great deal on APP.

  • How well does this work with a Pixel 8 Pro?

    • Won't be able to finetune the settings of the APs to your liking, will only be able to use the default squeeze/press controls. Will miss out on other features but at the end of the day they'll still work.

Anyone correct me if I'm wrong

I'll put it this way, I had the original pros with an older pixel, and then moved to bose ones, and the entire time I have had the bose I wish I never got rid of the airpod pros. I'm considering buying this deal. They work just fine but you can't use all the fancy features, that said, they actually work. My bose ones stop randomly, don't charge sometimes, freeze randomly. etc. Constantly pissing me off. Never had a single connection issue with the airpods. So they work better than others I have tried, but you don't get the fancy features, just normal pause, play, next, that sort of stuffon.

    • I daily drive original pros with an Android. Completely usable. I do have an iPad I was able to use to set it up and update firmware and stuff when I first got it though.

Use EOFY10 for another $10 off - Takes it to $285 if you can't PB @ OW

  • +1

Got them today for $280 @ OW. They price beat Costco, who also sell these for $295.

    • Thanks for this tip, I ended up doing the same.

I am genuinely curious. Am I missing something about these. The cost is almost the same price as some Android phones which have more utility per operating cent. If you were to lose one, I doubt you are able to pay even just $150 or $200 for one bud?

No one talks about these in the same terms as something akin to smashed avo toast.

I also see high school kids using these. Apple Inc et al sure are experts at setting young people up with poor foundations for financial saving habits

    • I understand your confusion , think of it this way , it will cost a lot but the life , features and usage you will get will be worth every cent .
      Thats my understanding

When I switched to Android phones for a year or two, I noticed the low efficiency/productivity of not being able to utilise some functions across different Apple products, i.e. auto-filled password, copy & paste and share various contents across other devices when switching between small & large screens for different purposes. Twenty seconds saved here and there and losing the flow of work don't seem to be a lot at a time, but they are a lot when added up together. For Airpods Pro, Apple fixed them twice without charging me & the piece of mind is worth even more.

  • I got them today from officeworks, price beat Costco for $280.25. The would not price beat MyDeal because of Gray imports.

    • I had the same thing - price match Costco but paid $280.24 - ATL? 😛

  • JB Hifi also price matched at $293
