- It's used as a plex server.
Keeping in mind that this is ozbargin - any reccomendations on replacement - keeping in mind low wattage and price.

  For better hardware accelerated streaming it's recommended to get newer generation Intel CPU's for their better iGPU (codec support).
  
  For around $150~$200, you can get Alder Lake Mini PC's that can natively decode AV1. very low power consumption.

These are just too old to bother with.
Unless they were much cheaper than this.
I have an old 6000 series Laptop and man it's tedious, but it has a webcam so used for that purpose only.
Even worse with Win 11.

Off lease laptops are usually 3-4 years

  The Toshiba ones were from a Local council.
  
  Zbook and Fujitsu ones were corporate used.
  
  Lenovo ones were souced from Lenovo.

The Fujitsu ones are quite light and small and likely with a 4g modem. Memory can be upgraded to 64gb and they accept nvme ssds. However the CPU may hold you back if not on Linux or demand is high. Using one for 4 years as main laptop for data analysis and it's showing its age. I bought when I left prev job as a t"emporary" one
