In response to the ongoing genocide in Palestine, we've created this bundle to raise funds for Medical Aid for Palestinians who work for the health and dignity of Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees. They provide immediate medical aid to those in great need, while also developing local capacity and skills to ensure the long-term development of the Palestinian healthcare system.

It's extremely graphic. For example, a Hamas member beat a Palestinian for taking food with a piece of metal, likely breaking a few bones. I don't know if such violent videos are allowed to be posted on Ozbargain.

        • +4

How did you know they are Hamas?

          • +3

@muddytyre: It was Biden disguised as a Hamas terrorist, and his friend Netanyahu recorded it to make Hamas look bad.

    • +5

What are smoking over there?? Let me guess you also think Israel has been protecting themselves the last 8 months by precision bombing only the people that deserve it? And everyone that died was already Hamas or was going to be anyways??

      • +4

The majority of Palestinians support the terrorist acts of October 7.

As Hamas is the elected government, a new generation of Palestinians is growing up learning to hate Jews. You can see young children expressing their hatred for Jews and training to become the next generation of Hamas. They are being brainwashed to join Hamas.

I'm not saying they should be killed. But if things do not change, they are highly likely to become the next Hamas.

      • +3

Even precise bombing will result in civilian casualties. There are voice recordings of Israelis calling Palestinians to move from dangerous areas. The Palestinians revealed that they did not want to move; they preferred to die to make Israel look bad to the world. They try to use the Quran to argue that it’s suicide and against Islam. It’s not martyrdom. The Israelis did not just call to tell them to move and hang up immediately; they begged them to move. You can even find mothers rejoicing when their sons get killed, as they died as martyrs. You can't save everyone, especially when some of them embrace death.

  • +2

If I buy the games, I can 100% sure, Hamas will get 60% of the money. I'm willing to donate food and medicine rather than cash

  • +1

Anything worth looking at in here? Obviously don't expect much but 643 is a lot to sift through

  • +20

While millionaire Hamas leaders won't take a penny out of pocket to save its people who are used as human shields and bomb containers, us here trying to crowd funding them by cheap games with every coin. Interesting.

    • +3

Agree. From Hamas. Israel's almost done.

    • +1

If the average "Palestinian" were to free themselves of their hatred of Jews, they would have been free many, many decades ago.

      • +9

It is difficult for you to put yourself in their shoes so I will try to give you an example.
If after stealing their land, we still had all aboriginals put in one small section of Australia with a wall around them.. and had control of what and who gets in and out.. and they lived there in poverty with a high rate of unemployment..
do you think it would be fair for them to still hate white people?

        • +1

I don't think you have quite an accurate view of reality.
Imagine if aboriginal people's religion left them with this immense arrogance - that lands that they used to control were now controlled by outsiders - that they simply couldn't abide by that humiliation and dedicated themselves to exterminating the colonizers. Imagine if, despite many instances in which a compromise over land was offered, the majority of aboriginal people responded with violence and bloodshed of the most heinous kind. What if the land they found themselves in, as a consequence of their own actions, had walls built on BOTH BORDERS because those that are close neighbours actually have some idea how violent these people are. Now we have a more accurate analogy.

          • +6

@defecat0r: Palestinian people in their twenties today were born within these suffocating walls and have nowhere to go. While, people who built the walls are having a ball on the other side without a care in the world.
No matter how you want to spin it, I’d hate anything Israeli if I were them.

            • +4

@Ridiculous Panda: Of course you would hate Israel, your parents would have taught you to. Why? Because their parents taught them to hate as did their parents. It is a terrible thing, but actions have consequences, and a lot of the Gazan youth are suffering for the actions of their parents. The fact remains, the walls are there for a reason - because Gazans can not be trusted in civilized society - on the Israel side OR on the Egyptian side.
Only when the child demonstrates they are capable of learning a lesson should they be let out of their room.

              • @defecat0r: Fair.. just don’t be surprised when the child has a tantrum every now and then and breaks the door somehow.

              • @defecat0r: Never sweet, innocent Israel's fault for their own actions, eh?

                • +2

@Duck Mode: Never the sweet innocent Palestinians' fault for their own actions, eh?

                  • @choodi: Always Palestinian civilians' fault for Israelis killing Palestinian civilians? Messed up logic there.

"It's not my fault, officer. She made me hit her"

      • +5

Doubtful, Israel hates Palestine just as much if not more. The only thing they'd have been free of is their lives and land if Palestinians rolled over without Israel conceding too.

Otherwise we'd have had a two stage solution decades ago, but Netanyahu (who should be in jail for corruption, how he's still in power is ridiculous) would never allow that.

        • +4

Sure, some Israelis hate Palestinians, but in general, your statement is false. Palestinians live alongside Israelis in the West-bank and have been happy to do so, however October 7 may have changed that. Many Israelis employ Palestinians. Many Israelis who were slaughtered on October 7 were betrayed by their Palestinian employees to Hamas and Islamic Jihad, who knew that they would be targeted for murder.
"Palestinians" and Jews are not the same: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7ZSuXtiKg2g
          Please stop simping for terrorists.

          • +6

@defecat0r: Whatever bud, the conflict and displacement goes on a lot longer than the last few years.

The reality and truth still stands that Netanyahu has stood in the way of a two state solution for decades, and peaceful attempts led to nothing hence Hamas eventually garnering enough support to throw out the Palestinians previously in power who would seek a peaceful solution.

Israel would have much less trouble on their hands if they had simply come to the table in the past.

I'm not cocky enough to think I have an answer for Israel/Palestine, but I'm sure not a big moron who thinks it's only Palestinian action that led to the on going hostility

Stop simping for genocide? Stupid closing comment.

            • +6

@buckster: Hamas didn't "garner enough support" and then "throw out" the previous power. Hamas were voted in in a consensus vote by the Palestinian people for their hard-line commitment to the annihilation of the state Israel. They then proceeded to murdered all of their opposition.
People seem to be very hesitant to acknowledge the root cause of all of this. The fundamental cause of this mess is to be heard in every Hamas and Islamic Jihad body-cam video from October 7. It's to be heard in the videos we see of Palestinians celebrating the success of the attack as they paraded a corpse through the streets of Gaza in the back of a ute: "Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar, Allahu Akbar." Palestinians are in a death-cult.

This famous quote from Golda Meir was as true many decades ago as it is today: “When peace comes we will perhaps in time be able to forgive the Arabs for killing our sons, but it will be harder for us to forgive them for having forced us to kill their sons. Peace will come when the Arabs will love their children more than they hate us.”

            • +7

@buckster: You're clueless there's no other way to put it.

It's the Palestinians who have rejected every two state solution and broken every peace/ceasefire agreement.

I mean even on the very SAME DAY the Oslo I Accord was signed at the White House, this is what Arafat said on Jordan TV:

"Since we cannot defeat Israel in war, we do this in stages. We take any and every territory that we can of Palestine, and establish a sovereignty there, and we use it as a springboard to take more. When the time comes, we can get the Arab nations to join us for the final blow against Israel."

Of course a few months later he went on to receive the Nobel Peace Prize for his "efforts to create peace in the Middle East."

You can not make this stuff up!

But yeah Palestinians just want peace and coexistence. Hilarious!

        • -1

Over 20% of Israel is Arab.

Compare that with Palestinian areas where Jews are being killed for even mistakenly stepping foot there.

The hatred is off the charts.

You’d have to pay some people to play games like Dragonhearts. No way it’s worth $12.

But you’re right. They’re paid games.

For $10 there must be some good stuff in there for most people.

  • +3

My issue with donating to this cause is that you have an occupying force (Israel) limiting what goes in, there actually is a LOT of aid waiting to get in.

    • +9

Let's not pretend that you know what you're talking about shall we.

      • +3

The Egyptians hate Palestinians… And you would understand if you knew the history… That's why they don't accept any of them and there is an actual wall on the border

        • +4

Not just Egypt! Look how 'Palestinians' are treated in Jordan, Lebanon, Syria…

  • +13

OP, for your own sake, just make sure none of the money goes to Hamas. It is designated a terrorist organisation by the Australian government, and even expressing support for it can get you charged with supporting terrorism, let alone providing money to it.

Two pro-Palestinian students at ANU - Beatrice Tucker has been named as one of them - were interviewed by the ABC, and said we should support Hamas. In response three current Jewish-Australian parliamentarians - Josh Burns, Julian Leeser and Allegra Spender - and one previous one - Josh Frydenberg - complained to the vice-chancellor of ANU, who expelled the students and referred them to federal police for possible prosecution.

Came here for bargains, not politics… why is this still up?

    • itch.io bundles are permitted on OzBargain and have been for years. See search

If you wish to block itch.io deals you can by hitting the hide button at the top:

      hide

      • +1

Is it possible for us to block all deals that help Hamas with funds and aid instead of helping Palestinians with one click? Or do we need to do it for each company individually?

        • Individually. Feel free to start a wiki page with a list of retailers.

      • +4

But I agree description does look quite political.

In response to the ongoing genocide in Palestine

Moreover, Additional resources doesn't point to any deals, it's just using Ozbargain as a platform to push a certain propoganda.

This should be in the forums.

        • Description including the additional resources is copied directly from the retailer Itch. I think perhaps you need to report the description to Itch.

This should be in the forums.

Why would this go to forums? People have been posting these bundles for years.

  • +14

Looks to be a typo there.

Should in reality read numerous genocidal attempts against the Jews.

    • Cry me a river. Free Palestine!

      • +5

        Which river?

        • +3

          The Lunkinda maybe?

  • If you don't want to see any more war relief bundles for any reason, (which are normally all sold on Itch.io) consider blocking the store by clicking on "Hide" link (found just below the deal) and clicking on "Hide deals from store itch.io". You won't see any itch.io deals as long as you're logged in.

    • +9

And miss the chance to complain/argue in the comments of every similar deal in the future? No way!

      • +1

I might have to go outside and yell at clouds instead. No thank you to that!

    • I want war relief bundles that go to victims of aggression, not the perpetrators, nor do I want "deals" that repeat the propaganda of a terrorist organisation.
This is like having a relief bundle for the Russians!

Like Neil said earlier, if you believe this is a problematic fundraiser then consider reporting the issue to Itch.io. The deal description is a direct copy and paste from the retailer website.

From my limited research it's a Twitch streamer named "jesthehuman" who organized the fundraiser.

        https://itch.io/profile/jesthehuman

Their email / twitter details can be found on the fundraiser page, under Media.

Feel free to contact either the retailer or jesthehuman (the actual organizer) and voice your complaints to them.

  • +1

how do these tabletop games work?

    • +1

Some are purely character and world building, like D&D. While other are played on a board, like Catan, Ticket to Ride and many other traditional table top games. However, because they're distributed electronically you'll need to print your own assets.

    • +2

Most likely you would need to print out stuff like rules, character sheets etc and have some dice, pencils or whatever available. There are some solo games in there so I'm going to take a look at some of them. Don't know if I'd ever be able to rope people into games like these.

    • +1

It depends on the creator/publisher - you download from the download prompt in the bundle (accessed from your purchases) and it'll give you a list of what you'd like to download. Most of the times these are just PDF files (for printing or online access), but I've seen some implement HTML pages and much more. There are also templates for most of them that encourage you to create your own board game, or using tabletop gaming formats

  • +27

Support UNRWA, no thanks. If the goal to help the Palestinian people then funds should be diverted FROM Hamas, not to give more power to Hamas. UNRWA is directly supporting HAMAS.

    • 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

    • +6

      Ugh.
This repulsive propaganda has got to stop.
The UN is the enemy? Do you guys actually stop and listen to yourselves? The same UN that voted to recognize Israel as a state?

And look at the post you're whining about. It's to help desperate people.
But no, HamAs sTEals the AiD.

Hamas are sitting on enough food to feed millions of people are they?

      • +8

Hamas are stealing and then reselling the aid at exorbitant prices and dumping them when they get spoilt. There are plenty of videos out there from Palestinians themselves so not sure if you're just pretending to be clueless or actually clueless.

        • +4

They aren't starving because a handful of people are stealing aid. They are starving because the fascist Netanyahoo regime (which doesn't even have the support of Israelis ) is preventing sufficient aid from being distributed.

Bold of you to call anyone clueless when every aid agency in the world has said the same thing. Oh wait - they're antisemitic too, yeah? Especially the Israeli human rights agencies?

What gives you and your fellow sock puppets away is that you never show a hint of concern that maybe - just maybe - an extreme right wing government could do this at the same time as slaughtering Australian aid workers , all whilst pinching more land from the West Bank and drooling over Gaza.

          • +2

            @RecklessMonkeys: Wow!

Does sympathizing with and supporting terrorists come naturally to you or do you just want to see Israel wiped off the map?

            Be honest. For once.

            • +3

              @dins: Haha. That's all you've got? Sound's like you're a teenager or something.

              • +2

@RecklessMonkeys: Oops my bad for not supporting vile terrorist scum. Not sure how I'm going to live this one down.

@keepsmiling: "AJ+ (Al Jazeera Plus) is a social media publisher owned by Al Jazeera Media Network."

Al Jazeera as in you know the mouthpiece of Hamas and co whose "journalists" support/are involved with Hamas.

Stop outsourcing all your critical thinking and drinking the koolaid. It's not a good look.

            • +1

@dins: Ha ha, typical demeaning of media!

Facts are crystal clear with all human rights organisations records against Israel.

              • @keepsmiling: Al Jazeera is owned by Qatar which funds Hamas and co.

You expect them to provide facts? Good one!

All those human rights organisations you speak of do you see them going after Hamas you know actual terrorists?

                Funny that ain't it.

Or some music to the people kidnapped from the music festival.

Doesn’t their culture try to cleanse people who are not straight?

    • +6

That's just the tip of the iceberg (pun intended).

But hey they just want peace and harmony apparently.

dont forget about the infidels (non muslims).

    • +11

By not falling for the pro-hamas/terrorist propaganda, I think you've more than done your part.

    • +9

Easy. Just move to Israel. Change your surname to something that fits the culture. Settle in a natives house. And then sign the bombs used to kill little children

      • +7

        Name checks out.

      • +3

yesteryears' victims have become Nazis themselves. a total landgrab operation killing innocents.

  • +4

Upvoted because regardless of what subject matter the deal may be under, it is still a deal. Seems lots of people here have forgotten what this website is for. I see this not what it stands for or contributes to, but for what it is - a deal. Wanderhome, for instance, is $25 USD, but in this bundle is $18 along all the other TTRPGs

    • There does seem to be a few interesting titles. I'm at least going to try to have a look at Wonderfall, Lone Eons, Lordsworn, Sovereign Slayer Solitaire and Fox Curio's Floating Bookshop. All are solo with Fox Curio's Floating Bookshop being a solo journalling game. That's definitely something way outside my comfort zone but I it might be something nice to try. I do have nice notebooks and stuff that I should actually try to use.

  • +31

It’s not a genocide, it’s a war. You can’t start a war and then when you start losing, claim there’s a genocide. What’s happening in Sudan is a genuine genocide which has killed plenty more people than in Gaza.
