      pretty sure it means its an optical sensor and not a laser one.

      Should be okay, but the battery life and sensitivity will be much less.

        " optical receiver" makes it sound like it uses infra red to transmit the mouse movements to the receiver. Rather than 2.4ghz radio waves or whatever it is normal wireless mice with USB dongles use.

  Decent for a portable branded mouse. Not bluetooth but if you can spare a USB slot, great for travel. Good price too.
