      I have this and it doesn't touch the washing machine at all. The legs go down to the floor.

      The width is adjustable and the legs go to the floor so you can put it around the washer/dryer. I have 2 of these and they work great.

    It doesn’t sit on the washer, just leave a few centimetres on the side of the washer for the stand. If your machine moves that much on spin, try levelling your machines feet correctly
