    • So snappy you are. I am referring to the person who posted the first reply not op

      • +6

When OP only bothered to enter expiry dates into 17% of his posts and left 50% for Mods and Power Users to fix, when OP knew the expiry date but still chose to omit it, and continued to omit expiry date after these deficiencies were pointed out to him in private communication, I do not need to apologise for being snappy.

        • Unironically, why doesn't ozbargain just use AI to suggest reformatting to the poster before they hit submit. It's literally the bread and butter of AI, natural language processing. I've seen so many new posts with the wrong title format which I'm sure wastes so much time for mods.
If you don't want AI to suggest the actual written text, you could instead just use it to flag fillable fields to the poster based on their content so they can review it before posting. This was the stuff we were supposed to be automating with AI, not music and art πŸ˜…
Also, it's much easier to change the tech to match people, than to change people to match the tech/guidelines. At least that's my engineering experience…

    • No biggie. Just report deal for a mod to fix expiring date. πŸ˜ƒ

    ty for the post OP

  • Excludes Apple otherwise I’d be tempted.

    • thanks for sharing that

      • It was already in the main post

S9 Fe vs s7 fe in title. Seems like a good price… Now if only the do a trade bonus on that

  • Is this a good one $1080 ASUS ZENBOOK 14 OLED 14" RYZEN 5 7530U 16/512GB SSD AMD RADEON LAPTOP UM3402YAR-KN465W

No, that is a zen 3 processor, which is essentially almost 4 years old, get something newer, ideally a 7540u or wait for zen 5 / arrow lake in the latter half of the year

      • So it's a 20% performance drop on a 7540u, but a significantly lower power draw. And the screen seems to be better than anything else I can find at the price point. Is it really that bad?

Does JB hi fi price match with stuff like this?

Samsung s24 ultra can get 10% discount and can stack with welcome20 coupon

    Thanks OP!

  • Their trade in offer on s24 seems a bit dodgy as you don't know how much you'll get in total. Has anyone ever used them?

JBL partybox 310 for $443… Thanks OP

For the people who have believed this comment without checking anything, for your reference, in the last 30 deal posts, only 6 have required a mod/power user to enter the expiry date, leaving 24 posts with no moderator/power user needed to enter an expiry date in.

    6 divided by 30 = 0.2
    0.2 times 100 = 20

So based on recent statistics and basic calculations:

left 50% for Mods and Power Users to fix

Left 20% for Mods and Power Users to fix.

If 100% of posts were perfect, there wouldn't be moderators at all. Continued to emit expiry dates is an overstatement.

It's all good, thanks for taking the time to post this deal and saving me some money!

    • So, why continue omitting expiry dates? (That’s a genuine question, BTW, I’m just curious.)

I’m not perfect and have my own deals edited but I always try to add expiries as it’s good etiquette and helps other OzB users.

      • Rushing to get the deal posted before everyone else. When OzBargain offers a cash incentive for having the most posts, highest voted post etc. it becomes a race. Post and worry about the details later.

Not saying that's always the case with OP but certainly contributes to the issue overall.

        • +2

I could see that being a contributing factor. I guess I'm different in that I don't really care about all that, I just like to share deals. If someone gets there before me or has a higher number of posts then it's not going to ruin my day.

          • @Chazzozz: Touche, didnt even know that was a thing…

          • +2

@Chazzozz: Me too. I just forget the date occasionally. I know I'm not posting a 700+ deal that's going to win something. I post whatever I find. Some people only post things that they know will get hundreds of upvotes.

              @shxhshzhz: You always find Motorola's :P
You are still the Motorola guy to me. Not to get confused with @montorola

  • Wouldn't get an Android device with less than 8gb ram now. My partners s21fe is so sluggish.

  • Damn.
