holy crap with all the times Kogan literally committed fraud on basic consumer products and needed the OFT to step in, they are the absolute last company i'd trust for anything to do with finances.

    • +8

lucky the card is actually provided by NAB

    • +2

So logically if you hate them wouldn't you want to take free money from them?

  • +3

TLDR: If you have previously held a Kogan Money Credit Card, you will not be eligible for this offer.

    • Since the $500 many years ago.

I scored 2 $500s back to back, good times before put the new T&Cs in.

Was excited for few seconds but then I realised it’s Kogan credit lol

I got this card when the offer was $500 credit. Used it to get 2x Kobo ebook readers for free.

Also, $1 of spend on the card equates to $0.01 credit on Kogan.com. Not brilliant but better than nothing.

Never bought anything on Kogan - can someone give a summary to why Kogan products aren't great and therefore there is no incentive to apply for this card.

    • Their Dyson is from Dyson directly. I churned this and got the v15 for $500

    • +1

its customer service is shit house, I would hate to try and sort out a warranty claim on it

would I spend my "own" money there…..no

would I apply for a card to get free credit money and spend only the credit….yes

      • I mean been looking for the next credit card to churn and burn, I'm running out of options.

        ANZ - Cooldown
        NAB - Cooldown
        Virgin - currently holding
AMEX - some reason got rejected so now I cbf
        Citi - don't think i can spend $8k in a 3 months
St George - don't want to hold the card for 12 months to be eligible

Anything else I'm missing for Velocity?

I am not familiar with "Cooldown", what is it?

          • +1

@peter: You need to wait 12mo after you last closed the account before you can reapply and be eligible for the promos

          https://www.rwrds.com.au/

Has a heap of cards listed, best churner site I've seen

Just FYI ANZ have two different credit cards. "Rewards" cards and "frequent flyers" cards. They operate on separate 12 month cooldowns.

Consider it a comunity service if you can contribute to reducing the bottom line of Kogan.

Churned and burned this years ago.
Good value, thankfully have never had to deal with Kogan since.
Will happily take money off them though.

  • i don't think i've seen another financial institution's credit card offers where previous card holders are outright not eligible.
