0% Interest on Purchases Balance from 7 May to 7 Nov 2025 @ ANZ Rewards Black Credit Card

33

Found this in my email dated 22 April 2025 as an existing cardholder. Bargain if you can afford to repay in full in November. I know I'd rather earn bank interest than pay it.

Don’t miss out on this exclusive offer, just for you.

At ANZ, we recognise times are tough on the hip pocket. So, enjoy a little relief on your spending, on us.

You can activate 0% p.a. interest on your credit card purchases balance for 6 months¹ on your ANZ Rewards Black credit card. Even better, this great rate also applies to purchases made by additional cardholders on your account which forms part of the relevant purchases balance.

Once activated, the Offer Period will be from 11:59pm Melbourne time 7 May 2025 until 11:59pm Melbourne time 7 November 2025. This rate will apply to the purchases balance, which includes both new purchases made during this Offer Period, and the balance of any existing purchases. After the Offer Period, the interest rate on the purchases balance will revert to the standard interest rate on purchases, currently 20.99% p.a.

Easy instructions below. Remember, you must activate the Offer to participate.

How to activate your Offer

Click on ‘Accept Offer’ below by 11:59pm Melbourne time 27 April 2025. After 27 April 2025, the offer will no longer be available for acceptance.

After ANZ has processed your request, you can enjoy 0% p.a. interest on purchases for 6 months¹ starting from 11:59pm Melbourne time 7 May 2025.

Offer ends 11:59pm Melbourne time 7 November 2025 following which the interest rate will revert to the standard interest rate on the purchases balance.

  • Wonder if this will be available to ANZ QFF Black too

    • "I wish"

Exactly, if it's too good to be true, it usually is.

"At ANZ, we recognise times are tough on the hip pocket. So, enjoy a little relief on your spending, on us."

Deciphered is - At ANZ bank we realise your credit is maxed out already, so let's try to get you into more financial trouble so you can buy stuff you possibly don't even really need for 6 months. After 6 months we'll slug you with nearly 21% interest on the remaining balance and also charge you a $375 fee (which can change at any time) for the privilege.

I love it how the banks try and pull the "we're here to help you" card. I realise they are a business and have to make money and i'm fine with that, but why try to make themselves out to be saints?

      • I realise they are a business and have to make money

They can make money just issuing loans.
Literally. They make the money out of nothing.
        Fractional reserve banking.

20.99% on made up money. How generous.

At ANZ, we recognise times are tough…

It doesn't help that the big banks sucked $30 billion out of pockets last year. Have a complementary down vote.

Hope the neg makes you feel like a big man. You realise no one from the ANZ/Banks will see your little tantrum on this user posted thread.

Ah, the classic “take a breather, then get hit with the hammer!!". Only take it if you can afford to pay back in Nov

      Yep. Feels almost predatory.

You people will complain about anything. 20ish% is normal for a credit card. Just pay it on time and you don't pay that interest. Boo facking hoo.

Annual fee is only paid ANNUALLY. This offer is for a 6month term. If the 6month term is still within your anual term, then you can both take advantage of this offer, and avoid paying another fee.

I'm honestly missing what there is to complain about. This seems like a decent deal for those that already have the card.
