      OP linked to them.

      • Beautiful, time to print

Anyone used generics with latest firmware (think its 1.60 ZE) on this series of Brother printers?

  • Weight: 20Kg

      20kg?!

      • 😲

      • I have a 3745 and it is sooo heavy

        • I have a 8390CDW and it is also a chonky boi - nearly put my back out putting it up on the desk.

      • 20kg of beefy brother love

"He ain't heavy, he's my Brother"

      • 20kg is pretty heavy though…

For that remark, I banish you to using HP printers exclusively.

I guess no one knows the meme.

        • haha I appreciated the meme. A little highbrow for some members I think

        • Haha I liked it.

          What's that brother??

  • recall the one I bought from HN last year was $369, L3745CDW

Centre Com is doing same price, and support free shipping.

  • WiFi 4

    Deal breaker for me…

Would need at least WiFi 6

Does it come with full capacity toners? Seems like a full set of genuine ones cost more than the printer

    • Does it come with full capacity toners?

      Very unlikely…

    • +2

It would come with "starter" toners - prob less than half full.

I've bought replacement toners from ebay (there was a seller that was in Artarmon, and I had used them for the cheapo brother 2130 with success)
IIRC, they were heaps cheaper than inkstation.

    • Genuine toner cartridges? Not on my Ozbargain!

      • Yeah. You have to hand in your ozb badge if you do that.

Don't forget to check the price of replacement toner! Very expensive 🫰

Brother printers seem quite happy with 3rd party toners. I've got a colour laser that is now on its second load of 3rd party toners and have had no toner issues. Tempted to get this one though, as we've been scannerless for a few years now and it's a pain going to OfficeWorks just to scan a few documents.

  • Am I correct in saying this doesn't print A3?

    • You are correct. Per https://www.brother.com.au/en/printers/all-printers/mfc-l375… > Specifications:

      Paper Size
      A4, Letter, B5 (JIS) ,B5 (ISO), A5, A5 (Long Edge), B6 (JIS), A6, Executive, Legal, Folio, Mexico Legal, India Legal, 16K (195x270mm), A4 Short (270mm Paper), COM-10, DL, C5, Monarch

      • Yeh I read the same, thanks for confirming it for me. You couldn't direct me towards an A3 capable laser deal could you?

  • Hey OP now that you’ve had it for a bit, how would you rate this printer?

    • +1

      it does the job..

Easy to set up. Took a couple of minutes.

Very heavy for a printer.. but its not like im carrying it anywhere.

Love the idea of printing wirelessly. Never had that before.

I have only printed a whole stack of school test papers for my kids and activity work books for the school holidays.

      Mainly black and white
