hi I am thinking about buying it, so I can connect another screen to my MacBook air ?
You can only connect one external display to Apple Silicon based MacBook Airs (2020 and later) - this product would work for that.
You cannot buy two of these to connect two external screens. For the second external display, you would need to purchase a more expensive USB DisplayLink adapter and muck around with a management application.
Yes. You can connect another monitor via HDMI. And as per the other person only 1.
I had one with an ethernet port 1.5 yrs ago for my ROG G14 laptop, I never used other ports just the ethernet port for 6 months and it went completely dead. PERSONALLY NOT RECOMMEND.
hmmm ok …
from this brand?
Yes. Just searched on my order history:
USB C Hub Multiport Adapter, NOVOO 8-in-1 USB-C Hub with 4K 60Hz HDMI, 100W Power Delivery, 3*USB 3.0, 1Gbps Ethernet, SD/TF, for Dell/HP/Lenovo/Surfa
Purchased July 2022 so 2 years ago. I remember it was very light so I guess the chip inside is the problem.
Is the 9in1 better in value for $8 more?
I bought the 9in1, alot more ports for 8aud more. I especially want the sd card reader that my laptop does not come with. Just won't look as sleek as the slimmer one.
I took a stab on this one. Completely over the top for my simple iPad expansion. But I'll see how it goes
does it support 2 monitors with these 2 USB C ports? on windows system.
No, as per description..
"Note: USB-C ports do not support video output."
14K@60hz is pretty impressive!
Only if it works
It took my eyes and brain about 10-15sec to stop arguing with each other over that spec.
Apparently these get really hot.
Good for these cold days.
I've got one of these, works fine but the USB-C cable connection is flimsy, often would have hard drives connected that would disconnect with the most minor movements. Gets hot with HDMI
The one I'm replacing cost like 4x this (JBHifi), and the USB cable is knackered inside.
In the perfect world, I'd glue one of these to the back/side of my monitor and use a user-choosable longer/flexible/replaceable cable. But I'm asking too much for this price
I'm using one to stay warm…
Ok, I'm exaggerating a bit.
This works with Macbook.
