    HD820 has very bad reviews, I have not seen a single reviewer like these.

      And I agree with the reviewers, underwhelming and doesn't give you the euphoric feelings when listening to higher end headphones.

    I prefer my og HD800 over these. If I want a closed-back at this price range I'd go for Z1R.

      good choice, I tested and compared, and the sound quality for discounted model is lacking a bit of detail and bit more distortion in the lows/bass, if you want the full spectrum of audio, you need to pay the full RRP price for it.

      Market positioning. It will however have to fall in price or be discontinued if negative reviews keep coming.

    These are nearly as bad as the hifiman audivina and only slightly better than the sundara closedback.

    The regular HD800S is good, and the closed-back HD620S is ok.

    I would unironically wear the JBL 710BT/720BT over these, having heard both.
