  • No transactions limits?

    • +1

Nope, as long as the total cashback for your TopCashback account is $150

      • So if I already had $100 pending on my topcashback from a different store I would only be able to get another $50 cashback from this deal with the good guys?

        • +1

Nope, not sure why my comment got negged
You’re allowed multiple transactions until you hit the capped of $150 for The Good Guys - that was what my original comment meant lol

      • Effectively a $750 transaction limit then.

  • +1

    Insider information… so associated?

    • +1

Nah haven’t met the dude before, more like chatting for deals

      • @tightarse you?

  • +11

almost every transaction goes untracked with topcashback, for me. One manually raised claim from March 2024 is still pending.

It's 0% if it doesn't track and claims raised goes unanswered.

    • Is this for every transaction of yours ?

    • +2

Never had issues myself. I like when an item tracks it keeps the other window open confirming it has tracked.

    • +2

Now you have @tightarse to reach out to about these issues.

      • +5

lol all tightarse does is say it’s with the merchant and nothing else can be done

        • +2

It's good of the reps to have the presence shown on here, but some people expect them to help find something to buy as well..

    • +3

Similar experience here, no joy with TCB

    • IDK, I've got 14 cashbacks with them (totalling $350), have only had to lodge a claim for a few transactions.

For all cashbacks just use your phone with VPNs, adblockers, private DNS off (can even turn off WiFi). Too much to go wrong on PC imo (extensions etc).

    • +1

Two untracked, made claims, got my cashback.

      So many transactions tracked.

      Use the app. No issues.

      • I didn't even know there was an app yet, will have a look.

      • Not keen on having to track and follow up. Meh

    • +1

I got similar experience for the Boost mobile deal back in Fe, then I had submitted the missing cashback claim in March
Finally get the money in last week.
I guess it was the adblock extension blocking the tracking

    • Do you have any blockers of any kind on your browser, computer, or network (like a pi hole)?

I only started using them a month or so ago and all my transactions have tracked so far.

    • For me topcashback has tracked 3 times, np.

    • All my topcashback transactions have been tracked, no issues (but have never bought anything from the good guys, though). I use Firefox for my day to day browsing, and have Chrome installed just for cashback purchases, no add-ons, ad-blockers, or anything, and all of the cashback websites have always worked

      • same here - basic chrome sans extensions of any kind and only used for cashbacks and never a problem with any of them.

After cash-back with Sonos (2 x Era100) comes out to
    $447… pretty good price

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/850709

    • It won't be that much because the cashback is minus the gst component. Still, a pretty sharp offer.

      • 10% (less the GST) then 20% off uncapped - pretty good deal I would have thought?

But yeah I think almost all the cashback deals & vendors are after GST.

    • Ordered ~7am, tracked via the app < 30 minutes.
      A touch under $447.

    • planning to buy Sonos ace through this cashback.

Purchases using any type of discount, including * Pricebeat prices, which lowers price on The Good Guys, including but not limited to employee discounts, student discounts and price-matching will be ineligible for cashback.

@tightarse Is the automatic price beat function that is on the TGG website ineligible for cashback?

    • +6

This has always been an unanswered question, hope we get an answer this time.

  • Just got the Dyson v10: cashback of $108 on the $599 listed price (don't click pricebeat!).

Works out to be $491, just beating the recent eBay deal of $498

    • +3

      Just tracked: $108.91 cashback

      • +1

91 cents more then you expected

  • Has anyone purchased any of the brands under exemptions and had it track?

  • +1

    Thanks OP! Got $150!

  • Just made purchase but hasn't shown it tracked.
Should I be worried or wait couple days?
I did click thru the 20 percent off link.
    😩

    • Wait a day or two.

  • What is everyone buying? Haven't they jacked up prices?

    • +1

Honestly, there's too many products to look at, so if there's something you need, check OzB to see if it ever goes on regular sale, then work out if the GG price with 20% off is worth it.

Some things will be decent value, other's can be found cheaper elsewhere even taking into account the 20% discount (i.e. a coffee machine I was looking at is $299 at GG, but on sale for $199 at JB)

You probably want to look at items that GG have on sale, so you can stack the savings.

  • What's the estimated time to payable for cashback from the Good Guys?

  • What is meant by 'home services'?

    • +1

      Like Oven/dishwasher Installation Services

  • Is this applicable on Good guys commercial?

    • Very doubtful.

    • Exclusion list has been updated to reflect ineligibility for The Good Guys commercial

  • I missed out on the Motorola g54 8/128GB @ Bing Lee Ebay deal. Purchased this morning at TGG for $197 and it has tracked $35.82.
Only joined TCB a couple of weeks ago and Amazon, Bonds, The Good Guys tracked using my usual method for cashbacks. The only one not tracked is Temu yesterday (same method) but I'm not getting too worked up about it because I've had tracking issues with Temu at ShopBack and CashRewards.

    • What date does it say the TGG purchase cashback will be payable? 90 days or less than that? On the Shopback and Cashrewards websites they list how long it will take to get the cashback but there is no mention of this on the Topcashback website.

      • +1

On mine says estimated payable 12 weeks.

        • 12 weeks or 3 months is pretty standard.

'Emus live in pairs, or alone, or in groups. They mostly feed at night. … or during the day' Russell Coight.

  • I have 2 cashbacks from the last 20% TGG deal that's still unpaid. Tracked and confirmed just fine but it's been 2 months and still unable to be paid out… At this point not sure if it ever will be paid. Kind of not willing to take the risk again…

  • Looking to buy a washing machine, has anyone done this and does it track (if not Miele)?

    • In case this is of interest to anyone, this tracked the same day.

This cashback would bring the Breville Barista Express to below $500, effective price.

  • +2

Does anyone happen to know if the automatic web based price beat is ineligible? it was previously accepted in the past but they seem to have updated the exclusions criteria to now say otherwise

  • Orders some stuff for work, tracked quickly!

  • +1

Thanks tracked, but purchase from giftcardz not tracked, made a claim, and no response so far, its been almost 6 weeks

  • +3

Thanks. It worked. However, please it note the cashback does not include GST so you need to take it out to get actual discount price.

  • Will this still work if you purchase something that is on sale?

  • +2

Good luck with it being tracked. Last time mine didn't. 3 weeks still no reply from the retailer. Almost 2 months since I made the claim.

  • +1

    My purchase didn’t get tracked

  • Mine didn’t get tracked either. The whole TopCashback experience feels very DIY, not exactly confidence inspiring.
