STIHL MS 261 C-M Professional Chainsaw selling for around $1600. I would back the Stihl.

    • Stihl 261 isn't comparable to this saw. 40cc v 73?

      • Hence the the cheaper price, you could get STIHL MS 462 C-M Professional Chainsaw for a similar price though.

Nothing like the sound of 2 stroke. The sounds of orgasm to my ears!

    • Livin on the edge ..Ay!!!

Nothing like the smell of 2 stroke in the morning at Bonnie Doon Darryl

    • tell your wife that the latest 'toys' are battery operated, nothing worse than two stroke oil on the bedsheets

Them Country girls don't mind a bit of 2 stroke oil šŸ˜

    • As a former Johnson / Evinrude mechanic I can concur, there's nothing like the sound of a screaming 2 stroke.

Petrol chainsaws lol. Get with the times ffs!

depends on where and how you work. As far as I know, there isn't an electric chainsaw on the market that would do what I use mine for. All good for smaller stuff, but a decent two stroke jobby will cut through anything in a fraction of the time an electric one would. AND you can keep it going for a full mornings work

I haven't had a petrol appliances for about a decade. Mower, whipper snipper, blower all battery. I even have 2 EV's.

But recently I moved onto a 5 acre bush block, and after a lot of research, I concluded that I would need to buy my first petrol appliance in a long time. Battery electric chainsaws are very usable for certain people/situations, but not for every use such as mine.

Battery chainsaws are for trimming shit. 2T chainsaws are for dropping trees and cutting logs. I cut a lot of greybox and your (profanity) electric saw wouldn't stand a chance. With 1l of fuel and 1l or bar oil I can be out in the bush all day cutting non stop. FFS

Mate, Get yourself a Milwaukee. Hell, even get yourself 3 of them for this price. Nothing more comforting for me as a shift worker than coming home and having half a dozen neighbours blasting out their petrol chainsaws chopping down trees for firewood. I go out and chop my trees down and the only thing they hear, is the tree hitting the ground. Even I was sceptical about moving from my stihl petrol saws but after 3 years now, I will never go back.

  • at this price point save a bit more and get a MS500i
