How do you find it for Word processing (text clarity) and movie watching? I assume movies take up the whole screen unlike on the ultrawides? Thanks.

      • movies are not in 16:9 aspect ratio though

        • What are they, 16:10? So you get black bars top and bottom?

          • @bleeder: 1.85:1 and 2.40:1

            • @askbargain: Never knew this! Always thought they were just 16:9. TVs are 16:9, right?

              • @bleeder: yes. tv shows are usually 16:9 but those that want to be more cinematic have black bars top and bottom

      • Would like to know this too, I won't actually game on it that much. I think above my budget though…

  • Does Dell generally allow stacking coupons?

  • Has anyone had any experience getting a monitor from dell.com with dead pixels replaced under warranty?

I'm hesitant buying directly from Dell, as their dead pixel policy allowed up to 5 dead pixels… in my experience, replacing monitors with dead pixels is a relatively simple process when I can just take it back to a physical store.

    • This is OLED. Dead pixel issue is quite rare IMAO

      • That's true; but I did help a friend buy an LG B7 OLED once, and it had a dead pixel…

I'm just a bit more wary than most because I've had terrible luck with dead pixels over the years…

Dell's return policy is the best in market so far.
If you're not satisfied with your purchase eg: dead pixels, you can return it within 15 days for a full refund

@changunsw: That's great to know—I looked it up and it looks like a relatively easy return process. I went ahead and ordered the AW2725DF 27" 360Hz for $1,040!

  • Thanks OP,

I missed this the first time around

  • I got mine during the first deal with dell, and it took about 6 weeks to ship despite the webpage saying it would ship within 2 days of me ordering it. Just an FYI if you're hoping to have it soon, I'd get it from JB.

    ordered 19th June ($1411)
    shipped 20th June

No scratches or dead pixels, date of manufacture on box was May 2024
Didn't have to update firmware as it came with latest version.
