link says item not longer availabe

  • Gone.

  • No longer available

  • Text specs mentioned 500cd/m² but the graphical info says 400cd/m². Which one is it?

  • Man, this was a good one. Too bad that it's full price already.

  • Dam I needed this one :/

Let us know bimawen this deal is back on

  • Does anybody know if these can be used as a smart wall calendars/ planner something like Dakboard

    https://www.dakboard.com/site

    • Why not? You just need something to drive it. A nearby computer, a laptop, a raspberry pi (I assume but haven't looked into it)

  • Back in stock but I can't work out how to purchase. Clicking on purchase popping up a message asking me to do it in the app. And in the app impossible to locate this item from a million shop sellers. Did I miss something?

    • I don't think the deal is back yet :/

    • I normally copy the URL and the paste it into a new browser window and then it will normally ask to open in the AliExpress app.

    • ITS BACK ITS BACK GOGOGOGOO

  • Looks like it’s all gone. Back to normal price for me as well.

  • +2

the price is back again :D still some units left

    • Thanks, snagged one.

    • Thanks, just got one. This is an incredible price for a very good monitor — especially the 100% DCI-P3 gamut, it means the colour reproduction of this screen is quite good.

I already own a 13" Bimawen OLED portable screen and I'm extremely happy with that, so this will make a nice companion for gaming.

And good on OP for such a detailed description — it's important to note that on most (or all?) portable monitors, the variable refresh/FreeSync functionality doesn't work over HDMI, so you'll need to use the USB C connection if you want that. And as OP notes, you'll also be limited to 120Hz max refresh over HDMI.

All credits need to go to @Clear for the item description. I just copied it to save time.

  • Back in stock. Just got one.

Bought. Thanks OP. I feel stupid paying $210 for a 60Hz same resolution one this week from Amazon.

PayPal sure wanted to screw me with their conversion rates. Would've cost an extra $6.

Btw never bought from AliExpress before. They wanted me to use an app to buy it so I had to switch to desktop mode in my browser which was annoying.

    • @Guybrush57 Normally the App provides better discounts. You normally can get another US$2 off if you collect the coins.

  • Seems like I missed out again:

This product can't be shipped to your address.

    • +2

Yeps thats what that means… at least it didn’t default to. $400 price tag like the last time.

      Just keep trying it seems.

      • +1

        Can't believe I missed.it again

  • This product can't be shipped to your address, how are others able to buy this?

    • +1

Normally means out of stock when it shows that.

See above, others have been buying it when it was in stock.

  • Last night I bought this one for A$77 with the touchscreen option, by making a new account and it was A$69 in search.

I couldn't find any codes to stack with the "new user" bonus. Looked up some video reviews and it was okay. This is 60Hz.

    • The touch option seems to be priced higher. Normal version is at the price you shared.

      • +1

My order shows the PM14T-2K which is the more expensive touch version.

I had to search for it with a newly made account and be offered it in search.

  • Anyone received their order yet? Mine was supposed to be delivered today but it says undelivered now and the courier company will retry to deliver it in next 3 days.

    • +1

Yep I received mine on the 11th June, took 9 days total to reach me via AusPost parcel locker. Monitor works great and I'm happy with it.

One weird thing though is that it reports itself as a generic "HDMI" device in Windows and is limited to 2560x1600@60Hz for some strange reason. At first I thought I had a faulty cable that came with the box, but I tried some other known good 8K cables and they all gave the same result, limited to 60Hz so no 120Hz high refresh. In desperation I setup some custom resolutions + refresh rate via Geforce control panel, and that finally did the trick — I was able to force 2560x1600@120Hz via HDMI, but no higher.

Oh, I did notice that the included mini HDMI to HDMI cable flickered occasionally and also distorted certain colours, so it looks like I probably got a dud.

This annoyance aside, everything works fantastically. DCI-P3 colour reproduction is pretty decent and games look amazing. For AUD $133.93 this was tremendously good value and truly a unicorn deal, you don't see these very often.

You need to use Display Port over USB C for seamless operation… HDMI is a pain in the ass for any kind of "specialist" video ! Missing refresh rates are a common issue.

        • Trouble is I can't seem to find a DisplayPort to USB C cable that actually works. 99% of cables out there seem to be unidirectional, i.e. they only work from USB C —> DisplayPort. I did find an obscure "ULT-unite" bidirectional DP to USB C cable on AliExpress but it doesn't work at all, I get no signal from it:
          https://vi.aliexpress.com/item/1005006101110938.html

The usual suspects like UGREEN don't make a bidirectional cable, sadly.

So these cables are like unicorns, if you can recommend one that works I'd love to check it out.

@deadpoet: Yeah sorry, I meant Display Port from a USB C port.

If you connect a laptop via USB C (at both ends of the cable) then the full features will work.

But if you've got a Desktop with no USB C output, then things get more complicated as you've discovered !

Something like this https://www.amazon.com.au/WJESOG-DisplayPort-Adapter-Convert… should work ? The Reviews say it works with the 5K Apple Studio display, so it should be able to cope with this.

You don't need bidirectional (which I'm not sure even exists) - you just need Display Port to USB C.
