I've got 2 other Raspberry Pi units, I've just have never seen this 400 before :) Thanks, I've put in an order for all the missing bits.
I just spoke with Jaycar again after raising a ticket with them Sunday with the '423' error. They say it's been escalated to management as they don't know whether they're going to refund or try and get more units. Sounds a bit suss to me and that I'll just get a refund eventually, but will be interesting if they dig up more units.
They seem to have units in stock via online order at full price:

I think they will feel pressured to honour the deal for those that missed out.
I sent their tech support an email on Monday and still haven't heard anything.
That's the starter kit and its a special order.

got my error 423 paypal transactions refunded today
I have just received an email from the store I ordered from Roxburgh Park they offered a full refund or waiting for more stock which will be at least 16 weeks. I just picked a full refund. No reply to my email to tech store yet.
Received the same email. I think I'll pick the 4 month wait. I am guessing the $88 I paid for 2 would still be a good price in 4 months time.
I've never owned or done anything with a Raspberry Pi so it'll probably take me 4 months to read up/figure out what I might actually use it for.

What do you plan to do with them?
I thought they had a pi4 board inside, but they don't, it's a different form.
Was initially planning on gutting 2 to put in the Pi Arcade machines I bought for the kids.
I will now repurpose one as a dedicated torrent box/file server and another as a media TV box.
The other ones I have will probably resell to buy pi4/pi5 for the Arcade boxes.
@easternculture: Surely the pi400 still works in the Pi Arcade? You just can't mount it in the usual spot.
@Gehirn: looks like it would fit but would need some modding of the backplate, mounting and sort out cooling.

While I like to experiment with the pi400 which may end up like my other unused PI, I may just get a refund and put the money towards a SFF PC.The just refunded my money with no email, or option to wait for 16 weeks.

Yea called up a store i had ordered from and they said wait 16 weeks or refund. As he said they will honor the deal i chose to wait.
My local store has stock but are saying it was a price error and its back up around $189 . Makes it interesting as if they have stock then why not send it to those on the wait list?
edit: Just double checked with online chat for jaycar who confirmed the $189 price

They had an IT outage a few days ago in which some orders disappeared so this may have caused the error you mentioned
Checked ebay today. So many of these listed from the deal.
2 weeks ago, there were 3 for sale at $120ish each. Today there is over 30 going down to $65ea.
Kind of makes me sad for this community, rather than letting people get a good deal they are buying and reselling :(Yeps… sad that it has come to this. Everything to make a buck in this economy.
Mine are going to the kids to have and use. They can play and use to their hearts content and hopefully learn some Linux basics.

While searching for other items, I stumbled upon this Sleeve for Raspberry Pi 400 and decided to purchase one for my RPI 400.
They called me up last week and asked if I wanted to wait. I said yes but now when I check my online account I'm a bit wary because it is all weird. I just hope it doesn't become a problem getting a refund if they cant get more stock/forget to call me etc because in my online account the order status is completed and it says that its a in store purchase.

Same. They sent me an "order ready to pick up" email a few days ago that I ignored, because I had already picked up but they said they couldn't fully process it at the time. Now they've sent me a refund.
Not sure how but I collected 2 on the day of this deal and i got an email saying they couldn’t fulfill the order and gave me options to refund or wait 16 weeks. I just ignored it as I thought it was a mass email mistake but looks like they given me a refund. So 2 for $0 seems like a great deal.
I chose the option of a 4 month wait for more stock. But then 2 weeks later I received an email from Jaycar saying its ready to collect. Just picked up then.

I’ve called them every week and they just keep saying it’s been escalated to area management. Last call guy said there’s 200 others in same boat from their store (gepps cross SA) anyone else in the same boat?

I received the opposite treatment.
I told my local store I was happy to wait for 4 months (when their next shipment is due).Two weeks later, some nutcase at Jaycar HQ cancelled and refunded my order.
Are you calling the branch or head office? I would call headoffice since buying online means headoffice took your money.
Calling the branch as they are the ones who initially called me about not being able to fulfil the order and cancelling but yea cheers I’ll try head office now
New stock is hopefully arriving on 15th August.
They got new stocks now, I will pick them up tomorrow.
To preempt you will need a mouse, micro HDMI to HDMI, a power supply an SD card and an accessible network cable or PC with SD card to format the SD.
It’s literally a box and the keyboard (complete single computer) inside.
No PSU, SD card, mini HDMI cable or ethernet cable.
These are all good things to purchase at one time (if you don’t have any and want to save on shipping costs).
