My Paypal transaction says completed also, and no order confirmed email. I also got the Error 423.
@TazR: I just got onto Jaycar support. They can apparently see the order on their end with an error status, so might be worth contacting them. It looks like the payment did go through, and the order hit their end, but I suspect might've gotten an error because of no stock or something.
Actually yeah, in paypal its complete but the email was a pending one.
Will follow up on Monday to get it sorted.
I got no pickup email so just went to the store. So far they had i think 7 click and collect orders come through. All for 2 units. They only had 2 in stock, which I got. Orders were still coming through. Ozbargained!
I called a local store (NSW) and they said Jaycar as a whole has massively oversold these, so they are waiting for confirmation from head office as to whether or not they will be able to get more in over the coming weeks, or if they are to issue refunds.

There is a huge problem with this deal, the stock is oversold everywhere.
Your best bet is to call the store you bought them from and see if they can put yours away for you. They can put the order through manually. I’ve just done this in the location I went to.
Ordered one this morning, received the order confirmation but no pick up email. Went to the portal and it says order status completed? Is it normal or I should ring up?
Small amount of stock left at my local, had one held and dropped in straight away as they mentioned having some issues with online orders.
Used my $10 credit from the Ender 3 V3 SE Deal to bring it down to $49.
I contacted the branch where I made two separate purchases (Bondi Junction, Sydney) and was informed that a system glitch (yeah right) led to overselling the item. As a result, my order hasn't been fulfilled due to a lack of stock. The staff are currently awaiting guidance from headquarters to determine whether they will receive more units next week or if they need to start issuing refunds. Absolute disaster
Just got the sad call about my order being cancelled due to no stock, even though I had purchased prior to the new JC site being posted/used, using the old/OG site. Got all the correct confirmation via PP & JC emails, I had also paid extra for delivery as closest stores nearby showed OS. This is the game we play.

I picked my 2 up from Gepps Cross SA. They're sold out now too, but I got the impression there was no rush at that store unlike some others. The guy treated it like any other normal order pickup.
Order cancelled. Also because I used my debit card, they said I have to come instore for a refund which is frustrating.

As much as I support Jaycar in the hope that they survive their sheer cost of the micro HDMI cable is a bit of a damper.

The reason people got 2 is because it was cheaper per unit if you buy 2, so that was the real bargain. The reason for most people who got more than that was to resell it seems.

I tried to use PayPal to pay for this in the morning. got to the checkout and money deducted from bank account then error "423 Locked" appeared. Called the store and they said they didn't receive my order. This is more troublesome than what its worth. Did anyone receive this error?
Yep, after calling the store and confirming they never received the order I ended up contesting the payment on Paypal's side and getting a refund.
I imagine it might be a bit more annoying if you didn't have Paypal in the middle of things.
Yeah, I paid via Afterpay and never got a cancellation email only an order confirmation. I guess I might have to email them for a refund. Sucks I probably missed out tho.

Called the store that I ordered for click and collect and his answer was "we sold the last 2 this morning, and I can't even see your order in our system". 🤦
They oversold stock at the Reynella location for me in SA. They've emailed me saying will offer a refund. eCommerce site needs some coding attention to get stock levels correct.

In hindsight it would have been good to mention buying the PSU at the same time to also get the 25% discount on them also.. when added to the order.

I have been using the power supply for Nintendo Switch, so far seems working fine.
I think you either go with what the majority of people say - use the “OEM” and “approved” PSU and pay the premium ($16-$30) or.. be willing to take a punt on the cheaper PSU (as cheap as $3-$5) as it may work fine and you could quickly find out if it works well or not (is it stable?).
It’s very unlikely to damage the Pi - it’s more likely to just crash. 🤷🏾

I didn't get a cancellation or notification either. I ordered at 12 on the new site. I don't think that i will get it because someone in the previous comment spoke to my local store and all 7 were sold at 8. I am hoping i am wrong. Jaycar should of handled it a bit better.

For anyone who had 427 error, called the Jaycar support phone number and they advised me to email [email protected], detailing what happened and send the paypal receipts.
Sound's like they have no idea who they can & can't refund.

Yes. This is part of their order fulfillment process. Order cancellations aren't allowed while the order is in a processing state.
Went to pick mine up at Springvale Jaycar, was told that there were no more in stock and to contact corporate for a refund.
Apparently the deal was “made public a day early” which makes no sense because wouldn’t they at least have the stock ready by now or tomorrow? Disappointed in this company.
