@FredAstair: Most smart garage door controllers work the same way - they mimic a wired remote and use a very simple WiFi-controlled relay mechanism. For the user, this usually just means an install involves plugging 2 wires into the terminals or spring clamps on your door motor, so it's a very simple install using basic tools.
If you want to be sure, Google your garage door and find the manual. Generally, the manual will show you how to connect a wired remote, and you can use the same instructions to connect the smart controller of your choice.

The Meross is certainly good value. I think the main points of difference are:
Remootio 3 has two output relays which makes it compatible with gate/garage door openers that have separate trigger inputs for opening and closing. The Meross has a single relay which is fine for most garage door motors that have a 'toggle' connection. That is 1 connection that changes the state (opens when closed, closes when open) when activated. Then the sensor is designed so it knows which state its in. However this 'monitoring' sensor will report as open when its in motion, even if its closing, plus will report as open if its not quite closed.
However with a driveway gate motor, many of them have an input for open and an input for close. This represents the most robust control (independent state), and the Remootio 3 has 2 x onboard relays to control in this scenario.
Remootio 3 also works from 5-32V DC, 12-24V AC voltages, so it can be powered from the control board of most gate openers making installation very easy
Remootio 3 has two accessory input terminals. So as well as the magnetic sensor, you can wire a direct button or a secondary sensor as a mapped input.
So some differences that might be a benefit to some people, but not all.
There are plenty of garage door openers available for a fraction of the price. Not a good deal at all.
I have this and it works well. The open/closed gate text doesn't come anymore. When I bought it I remember I had to get one that works with rolling codes if I remember correctly. Most don't.
