    I got :

5 bonus QFF points per dollar, Max 2500 points.

    • Did you need to save it? I got an email about it. Clicked it, but there's nothing.

      edit: I am blind.

    • same

    • $500 spend to achieve 2500 bonus points.

Got it, thanks! But it was right at the bottom with the “older” offers

    • Thanks for this. Found mine hiding halfway down the list.

  • Found when I went to inside my app offers -> the very bottom and comes as "Get 5 bonus points per $1 spend"

  • what about spending at Woolies where we already earn 3x points, do we earn bonus points on top of this?

  • +2

Remember to scroll all the way through your offers, for some reason it was at the bottom.

  • +1

Received offer. Only on the primary card. Thanks OP.

  • Considering getting a Amex. Is Amex useable in most places without surcharge?

    • It's the opposite. Accepted at fewer places and usually higher surcharge. Despite this, it is still of better value for money than M/V in many's point of view.

      • There’s somewhere on the amex site where you can report companies that don’t accept amex.

The store gets a visit from Amex and is offered incentives like reduced rates and marketing, “shop small” etc.

    • AMEX is usable in enough places to qualify for the signup bonus, which is all that really matters :)

If you are smart, the platinum card is worth more than the $1,450 annual fee over the first 12 months.

      • Explorer should be enough for me thanks mate

  • Saved thank you OP.
So now I have to go spend some money today ha ha

  • Nothing on my Plat Edge or Explorer, but best of luck to those that do!

  • Thank you. I just added to my card. :)

  • Received on my plat. Certainly been using the card (a lot!) so not sure it’s spend related.

  • Got it, spent it and thanks for the extra points Amex

    • +1

This is seperate to that. I have both saved to my explorer card.
I got the email for this on 24th but the offer was visible in the app on 25th (yesterday). Check again and try your luck : )

      • Thank you! I checked my offer and it's just like you said!

  • Got it on my platinum charge today.

  • Got it today (afternoon) on Amex Plat Charge in app, and got an email to scan QR code as well - a new for Amex

  • Appeared today on the desktop offers in my website. Got an email telling me about the offer yesterday but telling me I had to sign up for the offer in the app, which I can’t download as my phone is registered to the UK App Store. Was going to contact them and complain but found the offer popped up today on the website.

  • Very handy thanks AMEX! Don't mind a few extra QFF bonus points for normal spending.

  • Anyone know if Paypal is considered as 3rd party app? Most of my transactions paid via Paypal by selecting amex card.

I may end up missing the bonus pts!

    • -1

I reached out via Amex chat, and they say PayPal transactions are indeed considered "third party payment processor."

  • Does using Apple Pay qualify? I haven’t seen any bonus points for transactions I did through Apple Pay on my platinum edge

    • +1

Yes, received my bonus points after 4 days when the transaction is confirmed.

  • It seems to be ignoring coles transactions…

  • I didn't got any extra points for these transactions:
    Bupa
    Prezee
    Everyday Gift card(Woolworths)
    Coles etc

    • Where did you earn the bonus pts then? Doesn't it take up to 7 days to be reflected?

      • I didn't get any bonus points.

        • Can you check if you have a separate points credit transaction in the Membership Rewards section titled “Mobile Wallet”.
I am seeing these after a couple of days.
Eg : I did a $4 transaction on 25th May and got 20 bonus points tagged as “Mobile Wallet” on 29th May

        • +1

Just making sure you are checking in the right place.

On the iOS app I navigated from "Membership" —> "Track Your Earnings"
This is where al the points credit are listed which includes the "Mobile Wallet" credits(shows up multiple times) which I assume are the bonus points as they are not linked to any of the transactions I have actually done.

Also note I am using Apple Pay for every transaction.

          • @bargainhunt2020: Yes.. i have checked under "Track my Earnings". Still no bonus points.

  • So assuming that there is 1 point per $1 spent, this tops out at $500 spend to receive the maximum bonus points.
    What is the point:$ ratio?
I spent 3 times in one day for total of $392 and more since and received only two emails acknowledging this promo, so perhaps already maxxed out?

    • The offer generally turns into a "Redeemed" status one day after you fully complete it.

    • I can see in Track Your Earnings that points are 1pt:1$ for me.
A payment made on Amex via PayPal has not resulted into a Mobile Wallet credit.

      • Ah… my poor understanding. the promo is 5 points per $1 spent which is what I am seeing. This is not related to the original regular points received at all.
Therefore, need to spend $500 for the full amount of bonus points to be received.

  • anyone got the offer but not receiving any bonus? i spent daily since first day but didnt get any bonus points yet. contacted amex and was told it may take 90 days after offer expire.

    • On a Qantas Discovery: $500 spend via GPay on Wednesday for the Vanilla MasterCard deal, transaction settled on Friday, offer turned redeemed, bonus pts reflected already.

Offer won't turn redeemed when you haven't completed the full spend, but the bonus points may turn up. I can see the 2875(375 + 2500) QFF pts to be transferred on the next auto-transfer day.

I think the best way to complete this Amex offer is one-off full amount purchase.

    • I haven't got any bonus point too.

      • Did you use mobile wallet to pay?

        • no

      • Dod you make an enquiry?

        • I got a bonus point for one of my purchases after 20 days. So, I'll wait for a few more days.

          • @san87: ok, fair enough. After all they did say points can take up yo 90 days to be allocated.

    • I have done the spend on 25 May at Coles and haven't received any bonus points. Went on chat with Amex, the first time I got an agent who didn't even want to go into my account to have a look at it for me. I went on chat again last weekend got a different guy who said he would check for me. Then system logged me out which I didn't realised. Tried to reconnect with Chat failed. Waited for over half an hour then got connected and the same guy came on. First thing he said was I ignored his messages. After that nothing goes right. He told me to wait for up to 90 days.

Some checked with Amex and the offer meant to be for mobile wallet…however this was not specified in the offer page nor terms and conditions…

    • Really? I enquired twice and wasn't told that it was meant for mobile wallet.

      • Ya….i tried mobile wallet and this seems only the transaction over $100 is showing for thr bonus QFF points…..

        • I do not think only transaction over $100 works as I have received various Mobile Wallet points that are less like 139, 255, 39, 32, 1735, 45.
Also, it doesn't look like it tracks every transaction as some small spending is missing bonus points. Some Coles received bonus but some didn't.

    • +1

Yes, the description of my bonus points is "Mobile Wallet".

Actually, I did not know it before shopping, either. From previous experience, Amex offer never excludes Mobile Wallet, but encourages it.

    • +1

I just checked my points summary and I've noticed that the bonus points have only been paid on the 2 transactions that used Google Wallet. I have a few online purchases that were made before the Google Wallet transactions where the points haven't been credited. Will follow up with online chat and see what they say.

  • +1

No bonus points yet here either - $500 spent online.

Hopefully they didnt screw the criteria up as T&Cs don't say anything about mobile wallet.

Will wait a bit longer and then enquire

  • I received 2,500 bonus points in total, after summing the various Mobile Wallet points entries, although the lack of description makes it difficult to reconcile how.

    • Each "Mobile Wallet" points value divided by 5 should be very close to equal to the dollar value of a purchase transaction you have made?

      • I have a lot of transactions with the same value on my card though.

They've posted a points entry which seems to have lumped a multitude of purchases in together as well.

        • +1

Ah that's frustrating. At least you got the full 2500 points though. At that point I wouldn't look too much further if it were me.

  • +1

For anyone else who hasn't received their full allotment of 2500 points despite making the requisite $500 spend - I noticed that the two transactions where my bonus points weren't credited were online transactions where I had entered my card details as opposed to my in store Google Wallet transactions which were credited. I jumped on AmEx CS chat and the CS rep agreed with my assessment that some of my transactions hadn't been credited so they escalated the issue to the relevant team and gave me an Escalation Case number.

Might be worth following up with CS if you're in the same position.

    • I have also escalated the issue with AMEX CS.

    • +1

Update: I checked my AmEx account today and they seem to have back-dated a "Mobile Wallet" bonus points transaction onto my account which has credited the remainder of the 2500 points.

I don't know if this will prompt a widespread review though or if each affected person should follow up with AmEx CS individually to have this resolved.

      • Yesterday, I got my remaining bonus points.

  • All my mobile wallet points activity adds up to 2500.
