  • 23l big enough?

    • +3

It's big enough to fit a long piece of string. :)

    • For most things yes. What are you putting in a microwave that's going to be too big for it?

      • True. Just didnt want to get anything limiting!

  • Amazon AU are price matching Myer that it's currently OOS

Ordered one, with $15 off too. Thanks OP

Weird, it shows $130 for me, but when I add to cart it reverts to $197

  • +1

Show's as $130 but when I add to cart or try to Buy Now it jumps to $197?

    • +1

Aw, seems we were too slow

      • +2

Too much reading, not enough buying lol

        • +1

          haha indeed.

  • +3

    RIP shows 197 now

  • Have this, awesome little microwave!

    • No Wi-Fi and BT disruptions when operating?

      • I'm sure it does, wifi is on the other end of the house so too far to test…. Definitely affects the baby monitor (cuts out completely)

  • Mine rusted on the inside pretty badly after 2 years

    • Any chance you cleaned it with anything stronger than dish/hand soap? That would explain it.

      • No just normal sponge and fish soap

        • +2

Ahhh, I see the problem then…

          ;)

    • Same

    • +1

It gets pretty damp. Need to wipe that moisture away or leave the door open

      • I've been microwaving rice in an open container for the past 5 years. The whole inside is always dripping wet every time. I've always left the door open. No signs of rust so far.

Still can’t beat $50 microwave from kmart.

    • +2

Never paid for a microwave in decades.
Handy to have more than 1 to use.

Neighbours are only too happy to give me their working one, when they upgrade. eWaste disposal can be a pain.

Got mine from a friend who got a bunch from the dump .
SANYO Had it for years , Works Great .

        • +2

Kerbside collections of hard waste have so many working microwaves.
When people move house, working microwaves are often discarded.

          • @INFIDEL: If you can hit those really upmarket suburbs when they have the council pickup .
I’m sure it would be a bonanza of electronics and whitegoods .
After seeing what people are throwing away on YouTube channels about dumpster diving in the USA , I wouldn’t feel too bad about some recycling .

@beach bum: Financed 3 month trip to Europe, by selling scrounged Simpson clothes driers.

Sold over $10k, with minimal work or expense. Took average of 5 minutes to repair & test (replace loose belt on back with better scrounged one). Used car polish to bring enamel up to look like new. Sold up to 3 at a time to families.

At the time no one collected those. Usually collected 7 at a time in local trips.
Now are collected just for scrap value.

Haven't scrounged in years - good stuff now comes to me😉

@beach bum: In my experience, wealthier suburbs can be the worst.
Because they pay people to remove the good stuff😢
And usually don't clutter their expensive real estate with useless stuff!

Good Panasonic stopped working. Noticed heat output had dropped before that. Luckily have a scrounged Magnetron for that model. No rush to fix, as have another one from neighbour.

Almost an endless supply of free microwaves😉

  • missed out. sad

We have this microwave and its great at its job of heating food, however its lack of timer function and ability to only cook in multiples of 10 seconds still causes grumbling from others in the household.

    • I'm sure there's shortcuts or ways around that.

Open the door, press and hold the plus button. Easy.

  • oh i really needed this.

  • I would love to upgrade from my Anko microwave but my apartment's microwave nook is too small for any microwave worth upgrading to.

    • This one might fit. Got mine today and it’s very small

  • This vs cheapo Kmart one?
