Stop it with the stupid RRP. We all know it is a joke. Do you normally sell it at that price?
If not, you are engaging in misleading and deceptive conduct, according to the ACCC.

My usual bike shop says $72 RRP, and that includes a much higher UK GST/VAT rate.

$46 if your order totals > $99 to get free shipping. And that is just the normal price.

Agreed, very deceptive and misleading advertising by this Rep,

They normally sell this at $79, and not $99

-ve vote for consitent misleading advertising by this shop

      http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/44488

They obviously don't give a toss about the ACCC's advertising laws so I wouldn't want to deal with them if I had a problem with one of their products.

      • They said RRP $99 not was $99 there is a big difference.

        • They said RRP $99

And it's against the law to compare a price with the RRP when you do not normally sell at the RRP…

The only reason for posting it is to mislead buyers, there's no other reason for mentioning it…

How dare they reduce the price by $30!

I don't see the harm. He or she has stated 2 facts (I haven't checked if the rrp is right I must admit).

Fact 1 is that the rrp is $99.00
Fact 2 is that they are selling it for $49.00

.. how has this person wronged you?

They are implying there is a $50 saving (which is clearly wrong), and comes under misleading pricing. The law is quite specific about advertising a RRP…

i had a look online, and there are other sites selling for $99, whether that is the actual rrp or not.

the problem with the "retail price" is that perhaps only the supplier/distributor can tell us. anyone know who does sigma in australia?

i had a look online, and there are other sites selling for $99, whether that is the actual rrp or not.

That's irrelevant. The issue is that the Rep here is implying that you are saving $50, when in fact you are saving only $30.

do you actually know what the rrp is? if you do then please share it with us, jv. otherwise, you have no basis for your claim.

  • Cry it up rule Nazis!

Is this a good price or what?

With free shipping, I can't find it cheaper anywhere else.

    Can you?
