Very generous of them to reduce their profit to such an extent.

  • Costco also giving away "exclusive discount coupons" on Thursday, they have a sign up at North Lakes.

What happened to SupercheapAuto, Target, etc…

What's with the 5-10% off full priced items deals, those aren't deals those are timewasters. Looking at you, DJ's

      7 eleven out

Hardly worth the effort going to the businesses (I am a vol firefighter) especially if you can already access JB Commercial etc through emergency memberlink.

Looks like it is more of an dodgy marketing campaign to make non-first responders think the businesses are being nice …

Maybe some kind of tax dodge too? They write off $$$ of stock claimed to be sold on the day to govt services? IDK. It's been getting worse each year.

  • Would this stack with the Pixel 8a deal including trade in coupon and gift card?

  • +2

    No T2 this year, either.
This list gets worse and worse every year, unfortunately :-(

  • +1

Yep, as I recall Jb was 15 percent discount last year. This year’s offer is a bit of an insult to our first responders, imo.

Wow 5%, so good of them. Prices are jacked already for the sales today- Fitbit 6 was $199 now back to $259.
It's a good thing I ordered a few weeks ago and $36 back on Topcashback.

  • I think the funniest one is BatteryWorld. It's a competition where one lucky facebook commenter revealing which emergency service they work for can win $1000 batteryworld gift card lol

This is definitely some weird self-promotion bullshit

  • Anyone seen what the Costco deals are for first responders?

    • I went to Costco to do my fortnightly shop and casuallyasked what thresh were offering. They had a list of items with extra discounts plus a $20 shop card. I thought that was great! I took advantage of their free drink with any meal (excluding hot dog) purchase.
      Costco FTW!

There were a few staff members who had zero clue and asked me how I found out about it (lol).

  • My experience today… Lack of signage (Only one I saw was 10% off at Dymocks), staff unaware or didn't care. Only bought from one store, where the prices are usually the best, and less.
