    wait 6000 is slow now?

      I meant the CL40 vs CL30.

This video from our lads over at HU explained it well.

This video from our lads over at HU explained it well.

I must be really stupid because I have watched it 3 times now and I still haven't found the part where they explain it?

Looking at the data it seems that stock timings are generally trash, but when tuned they perform quite similar.

If this is meant to be some sort of CAS comparison why aren't they testing CL40 with tuned timings? Without doing that how can we establish that it's a CAS issue and not just subtimings?

        • 🤷

        • I think it's because your average guy might not want to tinker with timings. After going through a couple vids and guides I decided to spend a few more $ and buy RAM with optimal timings

Being a first time builder, I didn't want to mess with too many settings

            I don't think that's it :)

They already spent like half the video going over results for tuned timings at CL28 and CL30, but for some reason just decided not to test tuned timings at CL40.

    • CL40 @ 1.4v is

      • The expo profile is cl40 @ 1.35v dunno why its advertised at 1.4v. I've had the black argb kit since May last year doing cl30 6000mhz at 1.35v took all of 2 minutes to do in the bios.

  • Haha I got these. Indeed a bit slow but nothing to complain about.

  • +1

CL40 at this price doesn't seem like a great deal.

    • The next cheapest RAM with ARGB that I could find starts at TeamGroup's T-Force Delta RGB 6k, CL38 @ $169.

      • Ahh fair enough. Did not consider the RGB in my checks.

        • +2

RGB makes the RAM faster, didn't you know?
This isn't really a deal, come to think of it; people just download more RAM for free if they need it.

    Boosted by RGB?
    Other way around..
    RGB is just plain stupid

    • +2

      That was a joke mate!

    • RGB = more FPS

      • +1

        Shhhh, don't tell everyone!

  • Does it make the deals come quicker?

    • Depends on how hot it is. 🤣😜

  • RGB sucks in the kiddies, everytime….

    • +1

      That don't sound right…
