  • Now you post after we already just bought air tags!
    So, do I buy both?

    • +1

I'm an AirTag user so had a quick look at a comparison. Atuvos doesn't do precision finding for locating misplaced items in your home, but otherwise seems good. Speaker is louder so it may be that you can find stuff by locating the sound. I'm gonna get some to play with, thanks OP!

Will CCP find my location and shoot a hypersonic missile towards me?

    • +6

Do you support Taiwan or Tibet independence?

      • +5

I support every individual city independence, is it getting even worse?

          收集用户家庭位置地理坐标…

          坐标!

      • +3

        Don’t answer this. It’s a trap!

        • +7

Too late, I’m waiting for the missile…

    • +1

you know how much a a hypersonic missile costs? doesn't make ozbargain sense…

      • +10

At least they are Free Shipping which is one part of Ozb spirit.

      • +2

One glance at Temu and you know it ain’t gonna cost much for them

    • +1

somehow I dont think you are worth the cost of a missile

    • -1

Asking for a friend, are those hypersonic missiles effective againts Israeli air defence?

      • Depends on how much you want to pay to get them delivered.

  • +4

    This is a great deal!

I use a 4-pack of these for my bikes and camera gear - definitely buying these at $5/each. They work exactly like AirTags for my use with an iPad. So much better value than the $50/each official ones.

    • $25 official ones

    • how does the speaker compare to airtag?

I used to use Tile, which were far superior to the airtags, you could hear the speaker even if it was buried in your baggage and were in a noisy terminal… just not integrated with FindMy. (precision finding doesn't worry me, I'm using it for bags and big things, not tracking a TV remote or something tiny)

  • +1

Does anyone have any experience with these? They sound perfect for use as luggage trackers (which don't really need precision finding) instead of paying much more for AirTags.

Also, these had been about $50 for the 4 pack once IIRC, but generally >$70, so this is a crazy price!

    • Been happy with mine, they work just as well as the Apple AirTags (obviously without precision finding).

  • +1

I just bought the AirTags but will buy these too. Been watching prices on these for months if not at least a year and have to my knowledge never been this cheap. This is probably closer to what they cost and a no brainer considering backed by Amazon and next day delivery. Will tape 1 each to my tv remotes that always go missing at this price haha

Edit: you know what f it, bought 2 packs

Now to whip up some custom holders in tinkercad

  • There’s also some on AliExpress for around $4 each, any major differences between those and these ones?

    • +6

Well for $1 each more you can get it tomorrow and easy returns process

  • +3

My concern is that when Apple decide to update Find My app, will these randomly stop working?

    • +10

      You tell us, magic8ballgag.

      • I don't know, but I think it's a valid concern.

      • +3

        He is a Magic8 Ballgag. That's different to a Magic8ball Gag.

        • Magic 8ball(s) gag?

    • These aren’t some hacky solution piggybacking on the find my network, they’re an authorised product. No reason to expect them to stop working.

  • Will get for my parents for luggage/ backpacks ect.

    Thanks.

  • +1

price just increased while it was in cart

  • what happened with the kmart smart tag. any news about them?

    • Got recalled

      Just google Kmart AirTag recall

    • +1

Battery case was too easy to open and access the button battery I believe.

  • If I leave one of this in my car Does it keep warning on their phone anyone who is driving my car they are being tracked?

    • It should, I think it’s part of the find my iOS function

      • And on Android too

    • Unwanted tracking notifications apparently start between 8 and 24 hours. You wouldn't want them to start too soon otherwise thieves would know their merch is being tracked.

      • +1

I've got on a bus before and had the "unknown airbag is travelling with you message" a few minutes into the journey

        • Could be a third party Find My device glitching? Can't think of any other explanation…

  • Deal is gone, now $40.

  • gone

  • Only get a 2 pack on the link and they are 40 dollars?
    Is this deal still live?

    • +1

      gone…

  • +1

    Seems like its gone

Looks like 2x 4 packs available here for $37, $5 off with eBay Plus code…

    • OOS

    • Seem 4 pack ¥66.95 for me

  • -5

Product most likely to be landfill whenever Apple plugs the gap of these working like Airtags.

  • Tracking works in apple devices only? For Android devices there seem to be no cheap alternative to tile and samsung?

  • Any similar deals for android compatible?

    • A quick search shows there only seem to be similar 'branded' adnroid devices with price of at least around $25 a pop.

  • +1

Price error? Pulled from Amazon and ebay.

    • Price error I reckon
Going off price history it probably should have been setup as save 22.50 not sell 22.50 lmao

      • LOL congrats to those who managed to snag some. Price did seem pretty incredible compared to their usual price!

        • Finally, all those hours I spent glued to phone/pc/ tablet/ telegram/ samsung fridge refreshing ozbargain to learn the ‘must buy ‘ prices haha

      • +1

Deal was available since midnight, unless they mistyped a number then it wouldn’t be a price error.

When setting up the deal you type in the deal price you want, not the price you want to save.

  • +1

    too late to the party

  • Do these work only within bluetooth range? Or is there some magic that allows them to go further?

    • When out of Bluetooth range they connect to Apple devices on the Find My network.

  • damn missed!
Saw the apple airtag deal but have 4 pack already

at this price a couple cheap 4 pack would have been great!

  • Do they report when battery is low in the "Apple Find"? Either as a percentage or say when battery it needs to be replaced?

  • +1

I have a few of these - not this particular branding but the $4-5 generic aliexpress ones (which are the same unit)

They work well with Find My, I would say the speaker is louder than my airtags however they are VERY easy to disassemble (popped them apart in seconds using my nails) and I have disabled the speakers in all of mine as they are all used as sacrificial trackers for vehicles - they report back via Find My with pretty reasonable accuracy. Speaker disabled obviously so that potential scumbags can't find and ditch the tracker before recovery. They show battery percentage in Find My and will give low battery warning notification. Notify when left behind etc all work just as well as my airtags and airpods

They will alert non-family etc devices with tracking notifications just as quickly as an airtag, I have had them notify within 20 mins in the past

    • +1

Good tip about disabling speaker. Will do that to a few.

    • +1

Do you have a link from AliExpress?

  • +1

Is there a good place to learn about hiding these (from scanners etc) vs. genuine stalking concerns?

People have been stealing THOUSANDS in safety gear (signs, traffic cones etc., bollards, everything) randomly by night. Probably to start-up their own company. I know the gear in specific is going through a shortage lately.

  • Just did the speaker removal mod and ready to rock. Time to put these in my vehicles
