Free entry at Robertson Potato Festival today. I’m going to see Julie Goodwin.
POTATO FESTIVAL ANNOUNCES FREE ENTRY ONSITE
While we can't control the weather, we can certainly make the most of it. Despite the rainy conditions, we're thrilled to offer FREE admission to everyone who joins us today, and we instead will give you the opportunity to donate to the Rural Fire Brigade.
We understand the challenges our exhibitors and entertainers face with this unpredictable weather and to many festivals have simply shut down. That's why we've made the unprecedented decision to forego all gate income, allowing everyone to enjoy a day of fun without worrying about entry fees.
Take advantage of this unique opportunity to experience a fantastic lineup of entertainment, featuring renowned personalities like Julie Goodwin, Stefano Marvello, The Flying Seaman, and the iconic Australian band Dragon. Plus, don't miss the excitement of the hessian competition on the field at 3pm, with a backup plan for indoor judging if the weather doesn't cooperate.
By attending today, you're not only supporting local businesses and artists but also contributing to a great cause by donating to the Rural Fire Brigade. Yesterday, despite the rain, people were dancing on the field! So throw on some gum boots, grab your rain jacket – and perform any sun-dance you know.
Onsite parking will be limited in order to protect the Robertson Showgrounds and remind everyone to use the FREE shuttle bus running up from town, which stops at the Soccer Fields, and the Big Potato between 10am and 4pm.
Join us from 10 am to 4pm, and remember to park in town and use the shuttle service. Let's come together as a community, have a blast, and make a difference. See you there!
I attend a potato festival almost everyday at the office, sigh…
