          Some would say yes some no, kinda depends on preference and usage. In a sense you get more flexibility with separate monitors (e.g. full screen content on one + other stuff on the other, can turn one vertical if you want etc), but the single wide screen allows for a 3-way split which you can't do nicely with 2 monitors due to bezel.

          I would have gone for something like this except I can't install powertoys on my work machine to take proper advantage of the screen real estate so 2x 27" 1440p monitors are my go instead

        Naw it's actually equal to 2 x 24" in terms of physical size, see comparison here.

        Agree with PowerToys for screen splitting to get best use out of it though, the specific feature/utility being FancyZones.

        Edit: just realised you might have meant in terms of resolution - in that case yes it's close to 3 x 24" (a bit less as it's ~1706 pixels across x 3, instead of 1920). In terms of experience though, the text at native res/scaling is tiny relative to 24" 1080p monitors - at 119ppi, it's somewhere in between 27" @1440p (108ppi) and 32" @4k (139ppi) in terms of sharpness.

      I don't have this one but a smaller ultra wide

      Our software is 'cloud' based using mstsc.exe wrapper to access but third party display managers like Powertoys/Displayfusion/Dell Display manager don't work with that protocol or whatever.

      The solution is using 2xhdmi via PIP to the one source device but then you lose USB-C directly to the monitor - maybe a dock could help with that?

      Other then that scenario they're awesome for productivity.

      To get the most out of this res you'll want to use something like PowerToys Fancy Zones to create some screen split presets.
      I have 2 presets, 3 equal width zones for general browsing (like you described), and a 1680/3440 split for discord beside a game using Windowed Borderless Gaming.
      To resize a window to fit a zone the default button is hold Shift while dragging so it's pretty seemless.
      For pure WFH it'll be really nice, no bezels just workspace.
      For gaming you have a little fiddling to do with custom resolutions, Windowed Borderless Gaming and .ini config edits for older games, but once it's all setup it's mint.
      I've daily driven a CRG9 for 4 years now.

      34" you might need to compromise of wanting to split screen 50/50, eg.
      Outlook might need to then previews off or move preview pane to bottom of and emails on top then have other app next to it to use split screen

      For me 34" is a bit too small for my productivity

      On the other hand the 34" display I believe is better panel - brighter, better colours, IPS screen

      Personally for me I would go the Lenovo as I don't play games and would want strictly for screen real estate

          Can't comment about the specs of either monitor really, but I went from a 34" widescreen to a 38" widescreen (both 21:9) because I wasn't happy with the size of apps when doing a 50/50 split. The 38" is just big enough I reckon. If this was around at this price when I bought the 38 I probably would have gone with this one instead. Although the extra height of the 38" is nice.

    Upvoted as decent value for this price imo, though I had one briefly but ended up returning as I didn't end up liking it (plus there was a strip of 5 or so dead pixels, but that's neither here nor there and can happen with any monitor I suppose).

    Cons in my experience were noticeable colour washout at the sides (not that bad but I'm easily distracted and it bugged the shit out of me, would still take it over IPS glow :P) and honestly the screen just being a bit too wide in general - some people love them but I think super ultrawides are just not for me, 34" 21:9 is my sweet spot.

    Have worked with 2 x 27" as well as 2 x 24" setups before and think I prefer those as I would generally have one monitor right in front and the other slightly off to the side of it. I found there was just something very awkward in terms of window management when sitting right in the middle of a single super wide screen like this - maximising a window is out of the question, but having it in the middle with gaps on either side didn't feel right either. Nor did splitting the screen into thirds as it was just under 1920 pixels across per window which was fine for some things but a bit too snug for many others.

    Also I found I had to turn my head more than was comfortable, especially when you consider that whatever is snapped to the left half or third of the screen (assuming left to right text) is aligned right at the very end of the monitor, did my head in and couldn't ultimately get used to it.

    Bought one of these as the end of last year to replace 2x vertical stacked 34" 21:9 ultrawides, and 1x 24" 16:10 panel I had to the side.
    As much as I loved how my last setup was starting to look like some kind of Bond Villain/Evil Superhacker lair, truth be told I didn't really need ALL of that screen real estate taking up my desk and I felt overwhelmed at times, plus my neck was starting to hurt looking up at the second ultrawide.
    I feel more productive now with just the 1 suuuuper wide monitor, especially when doing boring stuff like spreadsheets. When doing normal stuff, I bounce between using it as a full monitor and placing windows/apps to take up either sides of the screen equally, or sometimes I'll just change mode to dual-screen over single cable, which makes the computer think there are actually two physical monitors and it splits it that way. Games looks pretty sweet on it and the built-in speakers are sufficient (so that's another thing I was able to get rid of off the desk). TLDR; it's a pretty sweet monitor.
