10% Discount on CDs, DVDs and Video Games at ImportCDs.com

Since Amazon stopped free shipping to Oz, this has become my favourite store for DVDs and CDs (they also stock video games)…and it just got cheaper!

It's US based and they have a decent range - 372,284 Titles In Stock - including many imported from other countries such as UK special editions which typically have more tracks than the US versions. DVDs are mostly Region 1 (USA/Canada).

They are usually very fast at shipping - by stocking in their own warehouse instead of ordering from suppliers, it's often only a day or so from ordering to dispatch.

All prices are in USD. Shipping to Australia is charged as $5 per order, then $1.99 per item (3.99 for heavy items). This effectively makes it $6.99 for the first item and $1.99 for each subsequent item in the same order.

In some cases, this store is more expensive than other sources such as ebay, but in many other cases it is cheaper, especially if buying multiple items. I like being able to find most titles at the one store and I have had no problems dealing with them.

Hope this helps someone with their Christmas or Valentine's Day shopping (yes, I'm thinking ahead already!)

  • Do they take payment for pre orders straight away?

    • I've pre-ordered items before along with other items in the same order, and from memory they only charged for items when they shipped. If you want to be sure, you could contact them. The answer may depend on whether you pay via PayPal (which may require prepay) or direct credit card.

  • What is their packaging like for digipaks and special editions?
I won't use WowHD anymore as I'm sick of getting damaged goods due to WowHD's inadequate packaging.

    • Think they use normal bubble-wrap envelopes. I haven't had any problems so far and have found their shipping much safer than Amazon's boxes that always seem to fall apart.

      • None of the Amazon boxes that i've received had fallen apart. Always came in great shape. Customs probably opened it up and failed to reseal the box properly.

  • Was going to post this deal myself….+1'ed ya.

I have used these guys before for music..their prices are good to begin with and their shipping is reasonable.

Placed a long overdue order to catch up on all the tzadik releases iv been neglecting.
    Best. Label. Ever.

    hmmm Amazon had free shipping?
