Not working for me, I uninstall the app and download again, it says free months but when I scan the QR code it doesn’t show that it’s free

It worked, but the "3 months free" text on that QR code offer screen is small, and it still asks you for your credit card details (so they can start charging in 3 months).
I wonder if this will still work when my normal Apple ID and my Xbox account use the same base email account.
I don't take up free month deals very often (have done so with Apple Music, can't recall the last time I did it with Apple TV). A few years ago they did a promotion similar to this but I couldn't get it going (I assumed it was a conflict due to having both accounts tied to the same email).

Also still got my new PS5 Slim and XBX that i got a few months ago that i haven't claimed the 3 months from those yet. Potential 9 months free total.

Does it have to be in Xbox entirely or can you move over onto another device after setting up on Xbox as I never use my Xbox for apps just games but use my tv in bedroom for firestick shows, movies
No global streaming service operates like that for trials and package bonuses afaik. It's the regular Apple TV+ as if you paid for it. The XSX app is a good way to use it though.
Yeah can confirm, I signed up (renewed actually) for the free trial on my xbox, but was then able to watch on other devices (using the same Apple account of course).
Didn’t work for me.
I was already logged in, didn’t see any prompts, so I logged out and saw the 3 months free trial on this sign in screen, however when I scanned the QR code and logged in it only presented me with the option to subscribe normally.
Worth noting I took advantage of this trial 1-2 years ago.

That's what it looked like for me, it asked me to enter my credit card details. But it still gave me the 3 months free.
You can usually claim the one month promotional trials multiple times if you have more than one Apple account whereas the 3 month trials (formality 6months & formally a year)
are linked to either an Apple Sony Microsoft etc ID associated with a device you’ve purchased and can only be used once , and you may find if you try to cancel any linked trial early you will loose the remainder of the length of the trial ,
unlike the promotional trials where you can cancel early so you don’t forget,
and they will continue to the end of your trial month.I also must agree about the quality of the shows on Apple TV being of a high standard, perhaps some of the writers lack experience in writing many seasons of shows and loose their way a bit,
or that even some of their movies seem to lack punch through the middle to end ,
but despite that and probably a strike, pandemic, fire, floods too and the fact that they also have hardly any paying subscribers.
They seem to have hit the ground running.
Couldn’t hurt that in recent history they were one of the most cashed up companies around.
But otherwise pretty impressive for starting a cable channel/tv network from scratch.

This worked for me and I only finished a different free 3 month sub just a month ago. I did try another sub a couple weeks back which would not let me get a free trial however this Xbox one worked perfectly. Thank you! I've never paid for Apple TV+ ever but have watched a heap of their shows.
there's so many free 1/3/6mths trials of Apple TV+, I wonder if anyone actually pays for it? They do have plenty of good content though.
