Gaming PC: 7800X3D / 7900GRE $1999 | 7500F / 7800XT $1599 + 32G 6400MHz / 1TB G4 NVMe / 750W PSU + Del Fr $29/ $0 C&C @ Evatech

GRE300

As requested, have added RX 7800XT GPU to compete with a recent competing deal.

Quick comparison when selecting the 7500F CPU and 7800XT to match, we come out to $1599, which is $51 more, but our shipping (starts) from $21 cheaper. For the remaining $30 difference we include an aftermarket 120mm tower cooler, faster RAM, faster SSD, higher end PSU with longer warranty and higher end motherboard with much better VRM and improved IO.

On the flip side, it looks like matching our specs (as closely as possible with their limited options) on their website works out to be around $300 more expensive…

We've just made a few major upgrades to the website and what better way to really stress test it than throw an Ozbargain deal at it and see how it fairs! If you do find any bugs or oddities please let us know and we'll get our dev team to address them ASAP.

While stocks last, ~ 64 units available as of the time of this original post. Should be ripper of deal comparing recent competing PC deals here. Very similar in a lot of respects to the most recent deal post yesterday although be it with a RX GPU. At a glance however we seem to come out ahead on price, lower shipping costs and more premium across the board specs on things like RAM, SSD, motherboard, PSU etc. Don't forget to enter promo code GRE300 from the cart page for $300 off the advertised price.

The total price is $1739 if you choose 7500f as CPU.

Personally I reckon 7500f is good enough if gaming at 1440p or even 4K.

    • +5

In some games they (7500F & 7800X3D) will perform almost identically where core count and CPU IPC are not the the bottleneck, especially at lower resolutions.

That said, for the price difference, relative to the price of the entire system, the extra horsepower of the 7800X3D is well worth the money in a lot of scenarios. Especially if you're intending to keep the system for a few years. As new games launch they may benefit from the extra cores, increased IPC and added 3D cache of 7800X3D. It also allows for a bit more headroom for future GPU upgrades down the line before you start hitting bottleneck territory.

      • +2

If you have high refresh rate (eg 240hz) monitor, you definitely need 7800X3D. However, for most games maxed out at 1440p or 4K, you would not notice the difference without FPS indicator on the screen. Usually GPU will be the bottleneck first.

  • mATX board in an ATX case 🤢

    • +4

We get it, but also… ~ $100 more for what essentially equates to an extra PCI-E 16x lane and M.2 port 99% of customers never use? Probably not the best return on investment for most people. That being said… I can't see why it can't be offered as an upgrade option. I'll get our product team on to selecting out a ATX board to throw up there as an optional upgrade!

      • +2

For anyone interested, two MSI B650 ATX motherboard options have been added.

Only recommended if you intend to utilise the additional PCIe 16x slot, or potentially a third NVMe SSD (or for aesthetics if you have money to burn)

      • +6

The more rational response would be to put it in a cheap mATX case… Eg Antec CX200M

  • +3

Any chance of a matx case?

    • +1

Yeah, it would be nice to have the option. Trading off possible future expandability (if you were to go ATX down the track) for a smaller system with arguably better aesthetics. Also mATX cases are less common, so might be harder for system integrators to source deals on them in bulk.

      • It's not that we don't want to, it's that a portion of the back end support to make this very aggressively priced promo possible is predicated on the Montech series of cases currently offered. Next time around if it's viable we'll be sure to add a mATX option.

  • is the asus peripheral bundle promotion still available with this? would be willing to snag it if so

    • Yes and no… but mostly no I'm afraid.

Yes you can use the TUF promo code with this PC and get the Asus peripheral bundle free, but you can't stack that code with the GRE300 code. It's strictly one or the other.

The $300 off GRE300 code is much more valuable than the peripheral bundle, so I wouldn't recommend it. You can purchase the bundle separately for much less.

  • Good buying!

  • Even if this is almost $100 cheaper, Nebula's most recent offer is way better than this, right? Or am I missing something here?

    • +5

If we're comparing the $2088 7800X3D/4070S build, at a glance it looks like…

GPU performance is on par (7900GRE slightly wins on raster but loses on ray tracing, varies from game to game)
      CPU is identical
RAM is same capacity but ours is 6400MHz / C32 vs their 5200MHz / C36
SSD same capacity but ours is 7400MBs vs their cheaper 5000MBs model
MOTHERBOAD is a higher end spec (PLUS edition) with better VRM, more RAM slots, more ports overall and 10Gbps USB C vs of 5Gbps.
PSU is a 750w Bronze Gen5 model from MSI with 5 year warranty vs their 'Aigo' non Gen5 650w Bronze with 3 year warranty
CASE is larger with extra RGB fan included by default but that's not necessarily a bonus as some people like the slightly smaller form factor.

Our shipping is cheaper (and probably faster unless they also use Fedex?) starting at just $29 instead of $50.
Warranty length on the system as a whole is the same (3 years) but we offer a per component warranty after the 3 year period expires that will cover things like the RAM and PSU as long as they are still covered by manufacturers warranty.

Of course that's just our perspective. Take it with a grain of salt, but I think our deal is pretty compelling once you factor in the higher end higher cost components throughout. I'm sure others can chime in below and highlight anything I've missed.

Are you referring to the 4070 Super deal for $2088?

      Non-RT Games - 7900GRE > 4070 Super (Tom's Hardware 1440p Ultra chart).

This build has a better MB, RAM, SSD Speeds, (I'd also argue the case is better) and bigger PSU.

Side note - I emailed Nebula PC about a quote with no response 24+ hrs (sitll no response). Evatech was replying to my emails within couple hours and answered a call this morning with no wait times. Just my experience - nothing against Nebula. I was tossing up Nebula vs Techfast vs Evatech and pulled the trigger on an upgraded version of this build with a 4070 Ti Super this morning.

      • Very interesting, I was thinking about calling tomorrow to find out pricing for a slightly upgraded version too.
Out of curiosity, what specs did you get and how much was it in the end?

        • dm'd

          • @Ekoniq: Was interested in this as well if you wouldn't mind dm'ing and letting know what you went with it ? tossing up a few upgrades on it at the moment.

I have been waiting for another build by Evatech and finally you've come through with the goods once again.
There just isn't any comparison between these builds and the other lower spec'd deals put on by the others.
I've been watching carefully for months and going through each build posted and every time the pricing reflects the quality of the parts.
These builds don't skimp on cheap underperforming parts to present a pseudo bargain.
Every build I've seen by Evatech is a genuinely good quiality build, and they back it with a warranty which reflects that which to me speaks volumes, AND are priced competitively.
I've just ordered my machine and I can't wait.
Thank you guys for being genuinely different than the others.

Any deals coming up on your higher end office PCs?

    • +1

Feel free to use our website's contact form to let us know what sort of specs you're interested in; we'll see what we can do for you even if it's a one-off. Doubtful it would be popular enough for an OzBargain deal, but we'll know more once we hear from you!

  • Would love to see a similar bundle like this but with 7900 xt or 7900 xtx. Still a great deal though! Love the good use of quality components across the whole build.

  • Are you able to do this deal with the corsair carbide 4000D airflow case? I'm happy to pay a bit extra if required. Thanks

    • +1

Jammed the black & white variants into the options for you, champ! Enjoy.
Appreciate the upvote in advance too!

  • @evatech is this old ? Code said max users reached?

    • That's an error! being fixed as I type. Should be good to go in a couple of minutes. sorry!

      edit : fixed !

  • Noob question, is this build good to get as is or is there some bang for the buck upgrades I should consider? Like is the graphic card worth upgrading to a Geforce one? Aircooler? What about power supply? Sorry if this sounds stupid but I do want to get a system that would last me a reasonable amount of time without hassle or worrying because I didn't consider all options.

    • +1

The default spec is the best bang for buck when it comes to raw gaming performance.

The nvidia RTX cards are there for those who prefer the RTX/DLSS features.

The upgradable cooler options mostly aesthetic. They're definitely not required and won't get you any extra gaming performance. Just slightly lower temps as you game…

Likewise with the power supplies. No upgrades required unless you want slightly better AC to DC conversion efficiency, in which case go with a gold rated unit over the bronze. The one exception being if you're concidering a RTX4080/7800X3D combo, in which case you the 850w is 'recommended' by the graphics card manufacturers even though you're probably still able to get away with the 750w just fine.

      TLDR;

default spec is the way to go unless you have a reason for a specific upgrade option…

  • Just a note - unfortunately we're locked out of further edits to the OP, must be because of the age of the post?

Anyone upgrading to the RTX 4080 GPU option needs to select the 750w Gold PSU option at minimum. The 750w Bronze does not cut it with an RTX 4080 Super, and the system will not boot.

    Happy shopping!

    • Hi @evatech,

I noticed the $1999 pc is now sold out, more specifically the GPU is out of stock, is there any other options or a new ozbargain deal coming soon? I only really like the look of the RX 7900 GRE. Thanks!

      • Plenty of options to choose from on the page including an alternate model of 7900 GRE at the same price!

    • hi which 4080 Super is provided?

      • Varies based on stock availability at time of order but mostly MSI Ventus 3X OC. Occasionally a Zotac Trinity, Asus TUF or PNY XLR8.

  • Hi guys,

just wondering what is the brand of the gpu for the 7800 amd rx option?

Also I am debating between this and your other deal and have not been able to come a decision all week. All id really like is a pc that can smoothly run and play witcher 3, baldurs gate, and the new dragon age game coming out. id also like this pc to last a long time. i dont really need anything fancy. if im already downgrading the gpu to the 7800 is it just better for me to go to the other rtx 4060 deal?

    thanks

    • If varies based on availability at the time your order hits the front of the queue but recently it's been a mix of Asus TUF and Powercolor Hellhound. Was mostly sapphire cards earlier on the deal.
