  • 2TB of 7400Mbps Gen4 NVME SSD vs 1TB, unspecified speed / model?, +$130 for 2TB
  • Slightly higher end motherboard with better VRM cooler, power delivery & more USB 3.2 ports.

- Everything else (basically just chassis & fans) is covered for a minimum of 2 years.

Great components and price! Is there any chance I can upgrade the CPU cooler and case?

    • Hit us up via the contact page on our website wit what you have in mind and we'll see what we can do.

      • Thanks! sent you an email

        • Awesome :) Expect a reply within the hour.

          • @evatech: Placed the order thank you and I cant wait!

  • MSI Steam card included by any chance?

    • Sorry, we looked in to that but our MSI rep confirmed that the newly released 'Super' series cards are not included in that particular promo.

      • Ah that's a shame, thanks for the quick response

Great components and price. Normally the trade-offs with the pre-builts posted here have been slower RAM and SSDs.

    • +7

Not only that, also crappy MOBO and PSU, they can cheap out everything other than CPU + GPU

  • +4

Damn, if only youse had a store in QLD

  • pair this up with a cheap flight to Melbourne?

Great post OP and thank you for stepping up the quality control!

    • +4

Stoked at the positive feedback :) was a little worried we'd be just roasted for not offering shipping and every second comment would be asking for a delivery quote 😅

  • I feel this is a serious proposition. Thank you for being present here and take the courage to make this offer.

PS: I really like the warranty. This is important as I am using this sort of computer for work.

  • Nice built! Just a question that is not relevant to the deal, do u guys still stock any Colorful GPUs? Looking to buy some super series Coloful GPUs, particularly Vulcan White or the ultra w. Strangely no AU retailers selling their GPUs anymore

    • I can see we've had sporadic shipments over the last 12 months of 40 series cards from Colorful but unfortunately nothing in the system with an ETA date right now. Sorry.

  • does warranty include back to base or does it require us to drop the PC off?

    • Yes, you would have to drop the PC back to us if you had any warranty issues.

On that note though, we do extensive QA / burn in testing on every system and pick the components we used largely on their long term reliability. We have over a decade to data & a six digit number of systems we've built out there in the wild… RMA rates are in the low single digit percentages and only improving over time.

Nice deal 🤝 any option to upgrade to AIO liquid cooler? Also do you have options for more Montech cases? Wanting the Montech King 95 Pro and happy to pay extra if that's an upgrade option

    https://www.pccasegear.com/products/64440/montech-king-95-pr…

    • +1

Sadly our King 95's have not arrived yet, delayed until after Chinese new year I think. Might not see them for a couple of month or two once you add sea freight to the mix.

Sky Two's are a great case though and we have those. I'm sure we could do the upgrade for the cost difference. Shoot us email via the contact form on our website and we'll do our best to accommodate.

For anyone else reading this, case and cooler swaps probably the limit of what we can do, the rest is basically fixed for the purpose of this particular deal.

  • +1

Great build at a fair price point. Just one thing to note is 6400MHz is pretty unstable, it's hit and miss, might have to keep EXPO off to perform properly.

    • +1

Haven't encountered this issue so far with this memory kit and Ryzen 7000 series CPUs and we hit every system we build with Memtest86+ Aida64 + Cinebench & Prime95 (among other tests) during the QA process.

To a degree we might be just getting lucky, but I think over time with BIOS updates and matured manufacturing it's improved quiet a bit since launch.

  • Can you do something similar in white? White everything…

    • We can easily swap over to the white chassis for an extra $10 [if this does the trick for you, just state in the order comments during checkout that you want the white chassis, and then upon pickup at our store we'll capture the $10 payment via cash or EFTPOS], but as previously stated other hardware changes aren't possible while retaining this attractive pricing. Sorry!

      • Do you have showroom? I only live 5 min away

        • We have a store-front (which is where customers will be collecting their PCs from) in Keysborough near the Bunnings, but it's far from a showroom which is to say that we don't have any meaningful product displays etc.
You're more than welcome to come in and have a chat, but practically all you can do in store is talk to us and look at our website on our system in the reception area, and we can take payments. Otherwise, email or phone is also great.

  • Do you guys have $2k ish build with 4070tis or 4070s? Thinking to have 2 units.

  • +2

Cant believe how overpriced the 4090 is, you can get the whole system for its price with the next lower tier card!

  • A real shame you're not posting this one, otherwise I'd buy one

    • +14

That comparison wasn't really for savvy ozbargainers who know what they're looking at! You'd be amazed though home many customers we speak to every day that call their whole computer their 'hard drive' and are convinced they need 128gb of RAM to play fortnite because their friend told them so. They might not be ozbargainers but plenty of non ozbargainers stumble across these deals.

We're not even trying to say the TF system is bad deal, it is $400 cheaper after all. We just wanted to highlight what you get for the extra money for all those less savvy.

  • Was gonna place the order and contacting for a change of PSU and Case, but I saw at the order page that I should do that before placing the order, not sure I've done that correctly. Hopefully it's not all gone by the time the email comes for that hahaha

    • What PSU did you upgrade to?

      • I don't know what they will offer yet, but I think with the 4080 super and the 7800x3d I'd ideally want to be closer on the 850W than 750. Will decide based on what they offer

        • Yea I placed the order but might contact them tomorrow to see if I should be upgrading to 850W

          • @sim777: But didnt they say about changes must be made prior to placing the order?

            • @RoughVoice: I did msg them about changing the cooler and case which they said will be fine and contact them via email with my order number to make the changes. I didn't ask about the PSU however so might give them a call today

              • @sim777: Yeah I had a similar interaction with them on email, very responsive and the choices are nice as well. Does not feel like they cheap out on their components.

  • my budget 1500-200

  • Am I the only one who’s surprised PayPal had the highest surcharge? Even more than amex?

Does PP really charge circa 2.6% more than MC/Visa to process the payment?

    • +1

      They don't charge 2.6% more… They just charge 2.6%.

We just eat the fees on our end for the MC/Visa options.

      • wow thanks for the reply, didnt realise PP takes such a big cut! whats MC/Visa rates?

        • They should look into square. Our rates are under considerably 1.5%

        • Not my department unfortunately. I think it varies by card type quite a bit but on average it's probably in the ballpark of half what PP take.

          • @evatech: Is AMEX still high? I heard whispers that they had lowered their rate to be competitive again. Would be nice to maximise points on a purchase this big without the surcharge but if its still high then it's fair enough.

            • @FR3D99: My understanding is that they are not as high as PP, but still substantially higher than the average Visa or MC. Some of the premium Visa / MC options might get close though.

  • War!

    • Evatech
      +4080s (vs 4080)
+Higher spec ram (both are overclockable on am5 to similar performance as say 6000mhz cl32 out of the box expo ram)
      +2tb storage (vs 1tb)
      +3 years warrenty

      BPC
      +$250 steam gift card
      +100w PSU (its also white)

Cases and CPU Cooling solutions are different, i think i would prefer the AIO solution and Case from BPC for cooling options, but it is negligible.

I would personally go for the BPC build.
Upgrade the memory to the gskill neo option (+$50 which is very reasonable)

Sell storage ($80) or upgrade ($79)
      Sell giftcard ($200-240)
Sell/Swap PSU to the black variant

      All that said.
Buy as is and you dont want to mess with anything, Evatech or Techfast/Nebula where the later two are margainly more value orientated.
You are willing to make your own adjustments and/or buy/sell parts, BPC (mostly because of the steam gift card) or Techfast.

  • Like to see a deal for i9 and 4080 super next time

    • CPU cost basis alone would be around + $280 over the 7800X3D, and the 7800X3D outpaces the i9 14900K by a solid margin in a lot of games. Some more than others, but on average it's in the realm of 10%.

The i9 14900K wins handily in a lot of heavily multi-threaded productivity workloads though so it would still be very solid high end workstation, just not optimal value for money if gaming was your #1 priority.
