    Some notes:

Additional Cards are not eligible for this offer.

    Sub optimal

    some quick calculations:

    max claim spend := $125 = full $25 credit.

    • Bummer. That’s why my wife didn’t see it in her offers list.

      • It's in all of our additional cards. Weird.

        • What cards? Just checked my supps and no dice

  • +7

    $25 Max cashback? That’s a pittance

  • -6

Wow, so poor. $25 cash back when people are paying multiple hundreds of dollars per year to have their cards.

    • +6

Amex Essential for zero per year, but hey.

    • And now the surcharge as well!

    • +1

So many people have this entitlement lmfao

  • Better than nothing?

  • I think last year they are a good promo like this uncapped…. boy did I go to town for company lunches…

    • It hasn't been uncapped for years now. Only the first year was the promo different: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/520697

      • I think i'm thinking about another promotion where it was get 15% back on select restaurants and it was uncapped.

  • -4

99% of the restaurants are probably sydney based anyway

    • Post says deal starts tomorrow…

  • +4

    Damn amex is crap now

    • +2

Maybe user error, I get great value from my Amex platinum

      • How do you get good value on your 2nd / 3rd / etc year?
I'm finding that I will only make a serious profit for the first year due to 225,000 Amex points

  • My local coles is listed… as well as liquer store and seafood store… very odd

    • +2

Using the Delicious Month Out filter?

      • Not in the filter but for the "nearby locations" in the app. So, dont know if groceries stores are actually applicable for this offer.

        • +1

I saw BWS show up using that. I wouldn't bank on getting the Statement Credit

  • +1

    Is it targeted this year?
    Or already fully subscribed?
When I click the button to save the offer to card, it just opens a new tab that takes me to the Amex offers that are available in my account, and I can't find the Delicious month out offer.

    • +1

Update: it finally appeared in Available offers and I was able to Save to card.

    • That's the same for me,
ie. I only see a list of "Available" offers,
except this deal is not on there.

  • This is now showing up in my saved offers on my cards (Elevate standard and Velocity Escape) … Except for my DJs Amex one due to it being discontinued.

  • Nothing on my velocity escape

    • Nothing on my platinum either

  • Thanks op! Saved to my explorer and platinum edge card

  • +5

I thought it was per transaction… per card is such a terrible offer lol

  • Looks like Perth is participating this year

    • The choices look meh. Not a single one of my usuals on there.

      • There are a lot of pubs/bars on the list. 20% off pints/glasses of wine for a month isn't to be sneezed at!

        • It's not exactly for a month, it's until you buy $125 worth during the promo period. So if you drink heaps or are shouting mates tonight, that could be all gone tonight

          • @kerfuffle: Yes, of course, there is a spending cap which has been mentioned. But it's 20% back on 3-4 pints per week for a month. That's not meh for me.

    • The Partner and I had just been discussing getting fish and chips this weekend and it just so happens a local place we haven't tried yet is on the map. Good timing.

      • Fun times.

      • Which place? Always keen to try new fish and chip shops.

        • Rivervale Fish and Chips

  • Did the participating restaurants decrease compared to last year?

It feels the options are fewer.

    • It feels that way. some of my local restaurants aren't there this year

  • For me it looks like every single Shop Small place is listed with the logo AEDMO badge

  • Does takeaway from the list restaurants work or is it dine in only?

    • +3

As long as you pay in the store and with your AmEx card, how you eat it doesn't matter.

  • +1

not showing up to save on either of my cards

  • got it but the map showing locations is flaky and not loading for me currently

    • +2

The maps has always been flaky. Easier to just search the business you're interested in by name in my opinion

      • The search sucks so badly, I searched by my suburb and know the miminal results are incomplete

  • Per card? lol

  • I don't see it on my Essentials card :-\

    • If you go to the webpage linked to this deal, there is a Save to Card button you can click/tap on (and you will then be asked to log in to your AMEX account). What happens if you do that?

      • +2

Just takes you to your offers where it says you don't have any offers (I tried on my discontinued DJs Amex for the lolz)

        • +1

It sounds like the registration cap has been reached. Would you agree?

    • When in Amex Offers section, click on refine by and then 'dining'. It showed up in that section and I clicked on it. Worked for me.

  • +1

I got Woolies and bws near by listed as eligible stores. These are the only two in my area 🤣🤣

    • Did you try those, and did you end up getting any credit for it?

  • +1

I remember this offer from last year. Used it for my morning latte purchases $3.60 not bad eh!

  • I got this on both my platinum and essentials card

  • So can use once per card…. That's it?

    • If you spend $125 in one go, yes. If you spend $25 each time five times, then you can use it multiple times

    • yeah this sucks. Was going to go out for lunch today but Ive already used it and got the $25

At least with the shop small promo it could be used at multiple locations over multiple times

  • Checked when this was originally posted, checked this morning, checked again now. Deal can't be saved to my Velocity Platinum card, just doesn't show up.

So they have such a small cap pee card and then they also limit how many people can save it to their card?

There has been zero reason I've seen to keep this card another year and cough up another yearly fee.

    • Interesting, i didnt know you trigger it multiple times until you hit the $25 cap.
Usually amex is 1 transaction hits the trigger and the offer goes away,

    • +1

There has been zero reason I've seen to keep this card another year and cough up another yearly fee.

If you aren't using the yearly flight then it's probably better to get rid of the card.

  • How is there a referral link/code for the Centurion Personal Charge Card? I thought that this is an invite-only card.

  • +1

Can combine with the entertainment book app for a better saving

  • Do we need to wait for 15 days for the credit to show up?

    • +1

No. I bought on Friday at one place and got the credit on Saturday. Still waiting for credit from the other place I bought from on Friday, but that transaction hasn't posted yet

      • thank you! I still didn't get mine after a few days. can we use apple pay? or have to tap the physical card?

        • The place you visited probably isn't participating. Did you check the map?

You can use Apple Pay, Google Pay or Samsung Pay.

          • @kerfuffle: thanks for your reply! its on the map, i will give it a few more days haha.

            • +1

@newbiew: They might have also changed their EFTPOS machine which can muck things up. I had restaurants a couple years ago that were on the map, but never got the credit

              • @kerfuffle: ah then this will be out of our control… don't think amex will be looking into this for us aye? if this one doesn't work, will be easy to get $25 from other places anyway.

                • @newbiew: Just tell Amex the merchant was on the map but you didn't get the credit and they'll give you the credit.

        • +1

I get email notifications for promo spending like this. Either the email arrives within a minute or so or never. The actual credit comes along a few days later.

  • any sydney venues have in-store offers also you can double triple dip ?

  • +2

The $25 cap sucks but understandable. At least offer it to supplementary cards too though. Amex offers arent as great as before. Then again everyone been saying it for years.

  • Merchants with Square terminals are great. Bought lunch yesterday, transaction posted AND credit received already!

  • Damn. I’ve used this in 3 or 4 places thinking it was up to $25 per venue. Am sure that’s what it used to be!

  • +1

The map is so shite. Never works

    • +1

      absolutely, nothing appears at all

  • Spent about $65 over multiple transactions without knowing most were eligible, due to the map being useless.

Coolest spot was the Sydney Crowbar (metal venue)

    • +1

Enmore Theatre and Factory Theatre also count as part of Delicious Month Out as well; good for Sydney Comedy Festival

  • +1

Another year where restaurants were on the map but didn't get credited (or in the case of hotel restaurants, got charged as a hotel rather than a restaurant) …

    • +1

Just as a follow up to this: complained about the other restaurant not getting credited (couldn't be bothered complaining about the hotel restaurant), and they gave the statement credit a week after my enquiry.

      • How do you lodge this with Amex?

        • I used Live Chat.
