Three different Amex cards, and none of them got it … Guess I eat out too much.

I wonder if you could stack Fratelli Fresh with this offer and get $40 back if you spent $100 …

    • I only got it on one card and none of the supps :(

      • -1

Wow, who negged me :/ Someone really hates me here!

Which card did you get yours on? I have a DJs Amex, a Velocity Escape Amex and a Westpac Platinum Amex and got zilch.

        • Wow, who negged me :/ Someone really hates me here!

we all hate you, equally ;-)

The Amex offers have been very thin on the ground this year.

        • +1

          Got it on Platinum.

        • +1

I got mine on my Velocity Escape card. No offers on any supps or my DJ Amex or Qantas Discovery.

        • +1

Have one from me because i like you and even though this deal doesnt even relate to me being in vic

    • +1

Same, no offer. I eat out too much.

    • Does this stack with the rockpool offer?

      • I don't know; won't find out until next week. Go find out and let us know?

    • +3

      Yes it did.

Tried out on Friday on my 2 Amex cards and got to double up on both offers when I bought 2 $100 rockpool GC at the Bavarian. It surprised me when I got 2 emails immediately for each card used.

I was only intending to use the rockpool offer but got this one too. Really good offer but I dun really like rock pool restaurants so didn’t use it on my other three cards.

      • Thinking of doing the same at The Bavarian - do you get a Bavarian-use only GC or are they generic Rockpool GCs?

        • +1

Should be generic Rockpool GCs if my experience with Fratelli Fresh is anything to go by

        • +1

Yeah the rockpool GC. 3 years Expiry can be used at all their restaurants

      • +1

Same, just double stacked, $100 for $60 awesome!

        • +1

          Can also confirm double stacking

Guy knew I was there for the Amex offer but apparently didn't know about the Delicious Month Out offer …

          • +2

@kerfuffle: Even better with my Pastaport 🤩

          • +1

@kerfuffle: Can also confirm double stacking. Bought gift cards at the Beerhaus. They had no idea about the AmEx offer or how to issue the gift cards, Charged 1.5% cc fee as well. All AmEx emails received immediately.

  • +2

No offer on my platinum, received almost no offers so far this year …

    • Same. I thought I was getting less offers due to the holiday period, not sure.

    • +3

same.. Apart from shop-small theres very little I can remember using of recent times.

I think its a subtle sign that Amex want me to cancel, start an 18mth timer, and re-apply for a new sign up bonus

  • Double targetted ?
AMEX holders in Sydney only ?

The month-long festival will converge on retail centres around the CBD, Surry Hills and Potts Point and is designed to encourage consumers back to local venues, as well as promote new additions to entertainment precincts.

    • Ah thanks. Wasn't sure if it was Mel/Syd again as it is for most food festival offer things Amex do. Nothing up here for Brisbane

For everyone saying you haven't seen an offer on you card yet, I believe enrolments don't open until 28 Feb.

From 28 February, Card Members will be able to redeem an exclusive offer at participating restaurants and bars

How come the OP got it then?

      You were right!

Everyone, check your Amex account! Offer now shows up for me on all three Amex accounts I have, plus supplementaries.

Surprisingly Boost Juice in Westfield Parramatta is a participant … And Gogyo in Surry Hills is not :(

Participating restaurants so you don't have to use the notorious Amex map:
    * Sydney CBD
    * Surry Hills
    * Potts Point
    * Parramatta

Good to see the Bottle Shop at the Ivy is on there. Not sure how much ‘dining’ happens tho

  • +1

Sadly, I think this has replaced the much better Dimmi/Fork $50/$20 AMEX credit that would pop up a couple of times a year.

That was the closest I could get to 40% off dining FBT meal card which I had for 10 years but now severly curtailed to almost being useless.

The Fork update is terrible, no more 50% off for solo dines either. It was great to combine that with the AMEX deal.

    • +1

I manage to get the 50% off for solo dining. I guess it’s not a strictly enforced rule. But I only ate at 2 restaurants so it might not work for the others.

  • Am i the only person surprised that this offer has less than 20 votes? And no one has mentioned gift cards

    • When the OP posted it, no one bar OP and another user could save the offer, hence the lack of upvotes.

    • what gift cards are you referring to?

      • The ones you can get from Rockpool Dining Group restaurants like Fratelli Fresh. See my comment right after the OP description

      • Like kerfuffle said, you may be able to get gift cards from the larger corporate restaurants to eat at their other joints later in the year.

  • Lol, I just stayed at Hilton in cbd and it worked as Glass brassiere!

  • Targeted, not on all my cards. However, I noticed Westfield Sydney Level 6 is on the list as a merchant! wonder if buying Westfield gift card from the concierge on that level will work.

    • +6

Probably not but if it does work please report back.

    • Anybody gave this a shot yet?

    • +2

So I finally got a chance to go to the city for this today. Unfortunately, it did not work. I imagine it’s because the eftpos part came up as 450 George St for some reason. So I just went across to Grill’d and got some gift cards there :)

      • Did you go to the right concierge? Sounds like you went to the one in Sydney Central Plaza instead of the one that's on Level 6 in Westfield Sydney

        • I went to the one on Level 6 Westfield Sydney. Their fancy looking concierge. Grill’d is on the same level.

          • +3

@magster: No idea then. Maybe they moved the EFTPOS machine.

Thanks for taking one for the team!
