You need to put some pricing in the title I believe.

    • not sure its a site wide discount not specific product. is there any rule for it?

        • so the rule states that the title is fine as it state company, and discount. it is not product specific. happy to take a suggestion?

          • @execab: Well you're probably fine then, it is just really helpful to have an example so it can be easily compared

          • +1

@execab: Other suggestion is not to say 'this weekend only' id suggest, just give an end date, it's shorter and more precise. 'ends 28/04' is what id say.

You really should point out some of the bargains you have.

For example, this NBN enclosure for anyone doing a fttn to fttp install and wanting to do some pre-work and end up with a much better install, is a deal at $65

$73 for 305m of cat6 is pretty good also

    • Thanks for saying what I was trying to but a lot better

    • Do you have the link for that cat6 305m $73?

Cheapest I could see was Grove Category 6 UTP Blue 305m
      $145.00

Do you have the link for that cat6 305m $73?

        Add the coupon code?

Oh! My bad, thought coupon code was for the free shipping.
          Thanks

  • Shame they don’t ship to my area

    • Where are you at? Is the site not allowing your address? We ship aus wide. I can have a look for you

      • I know there is a glitch on the cart where it shows the shipping options. Ignore that and continue to checkout page

  • Ok cool cheers

  • I've been looking for a server rack, needs to be the standard depth of about 90cm as I have a device that's ~80cm deep. Only need about 6U.

I can find 500mm and 600mm depths, but nothing around 900mm

    Does one even exist?

    • Yes they do, a bit rare but not impossible. Send me an email to [email protected] and i can chase around all the suppliers for one

  • @execab What happened to your server racks / cabinets?

I am in the market for a 42RU 600mm depth free standing rack/cabinet.
It seems your cabinet range is very limited.
However, great range of patch cables (but limited to two colours only).

In the process of moving to all locally made as there were too many issues with importers cabinets. Hence we are doing the sale as we are moving into a new factory and will be manufacturing cable and metalworks here in Australia

Pretty much we have had too much pressure from government to no longer use other vendors gear only the brands we own and most major gov departments only want locally made now on as much as they can get. Next month we will have the only locally manufactured cat6/6a and metalworks so cabinets and racks, accessories etc

    • Impressive pricing for locally made stuff!
Question about your metalwork - any plan for half-height, 800mm wide rack? they are rare and usually overpriced.

      • +1

Most of it now is done by machine these days. Where factory workers used to be hands on its now automated in many instances.

We do have plans for 800 wide racks as there is some demand for them. Only a handful of the importers do them and they charge like a wounded bull for them too

    Great offer, bought some stuff.
    Thanks!

  • Our builder terminated our network cables with RJ45 ends and to sort that out, I was planning on a patch panel that had the female to female keystone couplers (I think is the right terminology?)

@execab Do you have any of those? I didn't see any in the plugs and jacks section

    • We can sort you out with a patch panel with through adaptors. Send me an email to [email protected] and i will sort one out for you

  • If you were building a new house in the near future, would you be using Cat6A or something else now?

    • Cat6a is perfectly fine to use. Most ISP routers have ethernet ports which are just gigabit. Whilst new motherboards in desktops and laptops come as 10G your still limited by your incoming connection

Category 7/7a is not really used in Australia. Category 8 is primarily data centre use but very limited in application as fibre is now cheaper to deploy.

If you install a decent cable medium, at least you have the ability to change hardware in the future and not have the great expenses of replacing cabling

      • Yeah just wondering if there's anything better than 6a to realistically be installing but it still seems to be good enough at least for the short to mid term future. None of my devices even have 10gbps yet except for my NAS.

  • Giving this some serious thought but unsure if it will sit inside a normal internal wall? Due to upgrade this year so figure it might be worth churching in ahead of time?

    • That's what they are designed for, but can also be surface mounted.

      • Rogie. Just wasn’t sure as they have a 95mm depth measurement too
