Is this the standard one that everyone used to buy a while back?

    • +6

Yes, bought 2 for dual monitors by taking somebody's suggestion, and couldn't be happier.

    • Yep!

    • +3

Yes, I bought 2 of the F80 over a year ago. Still working well, I do not really move them much. Note that the NB logo stickers can peel right off, which look nicer to me.

    • H100 is great.

  • +6

NB H100 worth getting, excellent for ultrawides!

    • Does it work well with the 34” Xiaomi curved widescreen monitor?

      • +1

Yup been using it on that monitor for about 6-8months now and its perfect (as long as you're not tilting the monitor)

      • Yes, works perfectly fine. Have been using it since 2021 and no issues yet.

      • Mine doesn't hold for 34" Xiaomi and it keeps falling down. Had to return it.

  • Have 2 of these from almost 4 years ago. Still doing a great job holding up my (4.4kg) monitors.

  • +1

Will this work on a desk that is against a wall?

    • +1

You will need some clearance between the desk and the wall. I don't have the specs on hand but I would say something between 5-10cm.
Edit: I can't remember because I put mine together ages ago, but you might also have the option to cut a circle hole in the desk and mount it within that - which would allow you to have the desk against the wall. You might need to google it to confirm though

      • +3

Alternatively, you can also a drill a hole in the table to mount the arm (assuming the table is thick enough and able to be drilled).

      • Which model do you have? I didn't have to do any of that with the H100, the only clearance is the width of the cables

        • If you want the monitor to be relatively in line with the back of the desk (cos you might have desk without much space) then the arm will go a bit further than the cable stay at the base

    • +1

I have the H100 against the wall with dual monitors and it's great. I specifically didn't buy the other model because it doesn't look like it would fit.

      • Depends how far you push back the arm, i push mine back all the way and its fortunate my desk sits between a wall and the windows as the bottom of the swivel arm goes into the window area past the wall

      • So I could have the arm to the left or the right and it would fit on my table without hitting the wall? Is it easy to move the monitor like this or only for rotation?

        • +1

Very easy to move the monitors but depends how you set them up. Like the other comment says, if you have two large monitors and like to lay them flat against the wall it might be hard on a small desk.

        • It's all in the initial setup. These (and any other) arms arent really for moving them around all the time. They are great to get dialled in to the position you want, which may involve moving where they are clamped to the desk a few times at the start, and then you just leave them the hell alone.

          • @eraser215: I move mine around every once in a while, they are not delicate things. The only thing to really adjust is the tension spring, once it's right then there isn't anything really to worry about.

  • +2

Used 2 of these for a dual monitor setup for a couple of years. When I upgraded my WFH setup I purchased a dual monitor mount which could hold two monitors from the center of the desk rather than having 2 of these separate arms. Having two arms was difficult and I felt like I could never get the angles perfect.

Can't recommend the dual monitor mount setup enough, I personally found it superior and so much easier to adjust the monitors to the exact right spot, right height, right angle etc. Bonus that its tidier and less clutter on the desk, just a single pole in the center. And its also cheaper too..

    • +4

      Personal preference and space constraint.

Based on the upvotes of the previous deal comments, a large number of user prefer individual arms.

      • Good comment. It really depends on the mount. The one I linked I found to have the most adjustability to get the placement just right - 90% or more of the other mounts didn't have this level of adjustability and would have caused issues when trying to get the monitors placed next to eachother. I didn't find any problem doing it with the VIVO one due to the design - I can't see any downside with this particular mount.

        • The issue with the one you linked is when you want to have the monitors as close as possible to the wall.
Depending on the monitor size, the pivot points in the middle of each arm end up behind the pole when the monitors are side-by-side. You can see what I mean in the 5th image in your link.
I had the same one previously and ran into that issue. Having 2 independent arms means you can adjust them individually without the pivot point getting in the way

          • @bopter12: That's a valid point but personally my experience was the opposite. I had the NB arms in this deal, then I upgraded to the VIVO dual monitor mount. Ultimately with both setups you have to leave a small amount of space behind the desk to allow the arms to rotate back (unless you have a scalloped desk) but I found that with having 2 single NB arms, the bulky arms plus the part where it attached to the monitor actually took up more room behind my desk after I had to rotate them to get the right angles for my monitors.

The thing with the single arms is if you want to free up space behind the desk, you'll need to install the arms further apart and then face them basically parallel to the desk. That's great but as soon as you want to do any other sort of adjustment you basically won't be able to because the arms are so far apart. With the right dual monitor mount I found that I can setup any sort of positions and I can get it 'just right' with enough tinkering. That's the whole reason I upgraded because having 2 single arms I felt like I could never get it right and had to unclamp it so many times to adjust.

@rekke thanks for this comment. Have just upgraded the whole WFH set up with chair, standing desk and the works.

Was holding out for a deal on the NB but just pulled the trigger on the exact same mount you listed because the NB wasn't on sale. Was kicking myself seeing this deal but your comment is bang on and confirms my reasoning. Cheers!

Congrats, enjoy the new setup and increased tax return :)

As the owner of both types, these are a pita to set up. Once you have them dialled in they are OK but a nightmare initially.

      • What one do you prefer? F80 or H100?

      • As the owner of both types, these are a pita to set up. Once you have them dialled in they are OK but a nightmare initially.

YMMV. I have three H80s and found them to be very surprisingly easy to set up. I bought them for next to nothing, and thought that there would be big compromises compared to expensive office-level monitor arms.

However, setup was really fast easy. The most complex thing was probably the panel that covers the cable routing. Clamping on the desk, monitor installation and then tension adjustment were dead simple. The whole process took me perhaps 10 minutes for one arm. The arms move easily, the screens get rotated into portrait mode occasionally. Based on another one of your installation comments above, perhaps your tension screws are set wrong.

    • That monitor arm doesn't offer any height adjust or rotation on the fly. Also the depth of your table has to be correct for that arm.
The reason why I and many others suggest 2 singles is because of adjustability after its mounted and works with deeper desks.

  • Damn, bought the F80 for $39.95 last Monday

    • Buy this and return it under the old order

      • +2

You mean spend an hour of faffing around to save $8?

That's less than a KFC burger.

  • Sometimes OZB timing is perfection. Thought I'd never need another one of these , but have to do a quick WFH setup for a friend.
    Grabbed one, thanks RichardL

  • Also bought one from this brand about 4 years ago. It's really come into its own after I had to move my setup onto a tiny desk. It just wouldn't have worked without the arm. No complaints and a truly excellent space saver.

  • +1

cant fault my two h100s, theyre fantastic and super sturdy. one of them holds up the hefty 32" s3221qs and it does so without issue

  • Other said this still works with desks flat against the wall. Did you have to make any modifications to the desk, or are there arm-movement limitations with the desk against the wall?

    • Would like to know this too. I have a corner desk currently very close to the walls in a small room.

  • Got one also to free up some desk space where the monitor stand goes. Thanks OP.

  • thanks OP.
    Just ordered 2x H100s :)

  • Thx! Bought one. Such a space saver :-)

  • Should I get F80 or H100? for three S2721DGF's?

    • +1

      I use the F80 for my S2721DGF

      • I have the same monitor. What's the reason for choosing the F80 over the H100?

        • I bought the F80 years ago, prior to the release of H100.

          • @RichardL: If you were to purchase today for that monitor, which would you choose?

            • @Widget: Personally I would still get the F80.

The F80 has 2 swivel arms whereas the F100 has a pole with 2 swivel arm (but supports larger/heavier monitors).

            • @Widget: I like the look of the pole straight up and h100 offers more height adjust. Better if you're taller/need the monitor higher.

    • I have H80s for my 27" Dells, so F80 will be fine. I much prefer the pole style H series though, so I'd go the H100 if the H80 isn't available.

One tip buy 2 single monitor arms for dual monitor set up. Don’t buy those single mount point and has 2 arms coming off it, you get way more flexibility while not costing too much extra

    • And often costing less.

      • yeah, once you go monitor arm, you can never go back to the normal stand

  • I can't tell, but does the H100 come with grommet installation of only edge installation?

    • Comes with both clamp and grommet

      • Thanks Rainbow :)

  • I've got no issues with Gigabyte M32U on this model

  • Any recommendations for displaying 2 ultrawides stacked

    • i perfer North Bayou H100 style more than this post style. they cost the same but this kinda style gives way more vertical range.

  • I have 2 27 inch monitors that I want to mount vertically. They are dells. I want to get the h100 to mount a 32 on the right. What mount does ozb recommend?

  • H100 OOS

  • Which is better the Kogan one or this one H100?
    https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/kogan-full-motion-gas-spring-si…

  • Does this have a white variant? The email thumbnail showed a white version

    • They do come in white, but not sold at Amazon.

  • +1

If you have a deep desk (mine is 88cm), the H100s are better since they have further reach while maintaining good height, which is mostly useful for the side monitor that you may want angled towards you. I use 2 of them to mount dual 27" monitors. And I use a H80 to mount my work laptop which is nice cause I can easily move the arm down when I need it and up when I don't.

  • I have a similar single strut model and it can barely hold my 34” Ultra wide, slowly goes down after a few days but it’s not the same brand as this more of a fyi

  • PS: the design of the F80 has changed from previous years.

Previous one was glossy, whereas the latest revision is now power coated/matte.

EDIT: So apparently the F80 has been revised each year (as per this AliExpress Listing)

    Boxes for each model:

  • Second product seems to be out of stock.

Anything else suitable for a larger monitor?

  • Just got mine and set it up. So easy to construct & the preset tork is good for my 12kg monitor.

    • Which model did you get?

      • +1

        NB H100

  • Can anyone recommend a suitable and sturdy monitor arm for a triple-monitor set up?

  • -1

Just installed the NB H100. How to adjust the tension?

    • +2

      From the manual

You should be able to adjust the tension with the provided Allen key at the joint.

      • Thank you!
