Thank you @nceee and @10101010101 for confirming that it works now, I can see it on my account too.

I assume it's not targeted, let me know if you cannot get this price (and aren't already a member). I'm only seeing $10 on the account that got the email, my other account that expired a few days ago is showing $49. It appears to be a targeted offer.

    • Just popped up on my account that was previously ineligible, the membership ended on 23/4.

  • +6

I had no banner anywhere besides a try ebay plus for 30 days. Clicking into it brought me to a page to sign up, and one of the options was pay $10 for one year.

    • Same thing. No banner or email. Had eBay plus in the past.

      Thanks OP!

Check if you have a $20 voucher too.

    • Thank you very much, makes the deal worth it for me!

Edit: no voucher spoke to chat denied.

      • Voucher can only be used once. Valid for 30 days. $20.01 min spend. Eligible customers only. Ltd time only. Exclusions apply. Read full terms and conditions below.

      Nice cherry on top!

    • +2

Signed up through this link. Got eBay plus for 10 dollars but no voucher.

Spoke to chat and got denied.

Even for 10 dollar ebay plus is hardly worth it these days

      • I didn't receive 5 of the 12 $5 coupons. eBay agreed it was an error..but because they don't know why, wont do anything about it.
Have it in writing in an email.

Normally would go to consumer affairs for this kind of t&c breach.. but I don't think it applies to eBay. They make their own rules..

        Avoid

        • +1

Same happened to me about a year ago, took me multiple support chats and they kept promising to add the 5 missing codes, in the end they added 1, and I gave up. eBay are complete crooks when it comes to this stuff, they do as they please.

          • @cook99: Exactly the same resolution process for me. Added just 1. I called back (wasn't remotely rude), she called me greedy and hung up on me.

I think they just give you the bare minimum resolution offer, have it documented and move on…

            again..avoid.

    • +1

      Found a $50 signup
Not sure if it'll work so proceed at your own risk.

"Join now" shows $10 for an annual sub for me

If anyone tries it, please report back

      • -1

Thank you for sharing mate. I talked to CS about whether I am eligible or not (my account is new and never subscribed ebay plus neither never bought from ebay).

CS team said, According to the terms and conditions "The Offer is only available to users who have an eBay account with a registration address in Australia, and who have an appropriate purchase history."

So I am not eligible. Hopefully this helped to other people to use this deal :D

      • won't work. You have to see the banner on your landing page. Same as $20 one

  • +22

eBay have increased the spend of their monthly $5 eBay plus voucher to minimum spend of $35 now instead of $15.

    • +7

      This is a deal breaker

      • +4

It's a largely useless subscription tbh

I'm finding more use out of one pass that eBay plus

        • I'm was surprised to find OnePass quite useful too.
eBay plus is nice for the free sale and 50% discounted postage as a seller once a month.
          Pretty terrible otherwise

    • Yep. Absolutely not worth it after the hike in minimum spend. Haven’t bought anything on eBay since.

  • +1

Clicking the link opened the app on my phone on the homepage with nothing about eBay plus.

Long pressed the link and clicked open in new tab then it took me to the $10 eBay plus sign up in my browser and worked.

    Thanks.

    • +1

This method worked for me, thanks so much OP!

  • If I cancel after I signed up am I still a member for the rest of the year?

I don't want to forget about it and let it auto renew.

    • +1

I did the same - they gave me a $30 retention voucher!

      • +2

I saw that but it looks like you only get the voucher after you renew in 2025?

      • Did you receive it already? The way it's worded is it looks like it's given after renewal date (mine's October).

I'm thinking I'll cancel anyway because I doubt as a current subscriber that I'd receive any targeted renewal offer.

    • +1

Last time i cancelled, they still took a payment months after it had ended. I spent ages on chat getting them to reverse it. Hardest part was as I wasn't a subscriber they would bounce the query repeatedly.

Would of been easier to do a chargeback, but then I'd have likely been banned from ebay and have to start a new account,

      • +1

Yes when ebay plus first came out, it was very deceptive and hard to cancel compared to every other sub service out there. Also T&Cs said no refund after renewal
        I also got stung for a renewal….

      • Their customer service is awful now. I used to have a direct email for someone, now I get caught in a chatbot loop for days and still don’t get answers. I hate it!

    • Yep I cancelled right away, I keep it till April 2025 it says, so yep, cancel away.

  • +6

Oh no. Minimum spend for $5 off voucher is $35 instead of $15. This is a deal killer for me.

  • Worked for me by using the link you provided and logging in via chrome (and not the app). Thanks OP!!

  • Worked for me.
Didn't see the $20 voucher till I had already renewed.
    That is fine.

    • +1

Don’t think 20 dollar voucher stacks anyway

  • Works through phone browser

  • +1

My current sub ends 30 April, guessing that's why the sign up link makes no mention of signing up.
Will check back again in a few and report back

    • Yeah mine also expires on the 30th, hopefully I can get this deal.
ATM it says I have an active subscription

    • Sorry to burst that bubble, but mine expired a few days ago and it doesn't work. Looks to be for inactive accounts of longer durations.

      • My membership only ended a couple of weeks ago. Just resigned for the $10 deal no problems.

        • I take it back. Today got offered the $10 deal.

          • +1

@Vita85: Mine ends today. So just wait for the email offer or go to specific page to check?

            • +1

@CyberMurning: No specific page, just the ebay Plus sign up page. Mine was $49 for a few days and then the banner offer showed up on the homepage. I checked my eBay plus sign up page and it had changed to $10.

  • Same here exp 30/4 can’t sign up with the $10 - will check back in a week I guess

  • +7

I'm trying to decide if it is even worth it for me at $10….. 🤔

    • +10

i signed up almost a year ago, have barely used it, can't see the value anymore. Even the special discount codes we get for items, such as refurbished, have a general and ebay plus code, where the you only get 2% extra for being an ebay plus member. And now they increased minimum spend for the $5 coupon from $15 to $35 making it even more useless. You can get the same stuff that's on ebay from Aliexpress, and now shipping is getting really quick on some items sent from china.

      • +1

You’re right, I doubt I would use it. eBay has turned into a drop shipping seller site, I miss the days when it was people selling their own stuff, not businesses listing thousands of items from China. We have better sites for that!

      • +1

I'm thinking the same. Maybe I'll save the ebay membership and spend the $10 on a Tassie devils membership instead.

    • I passed. Had it before, but limited use - and the inclusions it gives now are quite (and even more) limited.

    • supposed to get free express with plus items. so you get a $5 coupon when they go over two days for shipping.

  • +1

Terms and Conditions of the $5 monthly voucher now seem to read that the minimum spend is $50 instead of $35… Quite the increase from the original $15.

    • +3

there’s 2 of them. one for $50 min spend and one for &35 min spend. did you read the correct one?

  • Got it, thanks

  • +1

T&C for $7.99 annual eBay Plus membership offer

  • Signed up thanks

    • Can i ask you how you did that? I click the link above, there is no option for $10 annual membership. Have you got targeted email about this deal or not??

  • +1

Has anyone been able to extend their membership with this offer? I cancelled my membership a week ago but it’s still active until the end of the month. I don’t see a join option in my membership- maybe cos my membership is still active?

    • +2

Very unlikely. This is a targeted offer to those who stopped subscribing some time ago.

  • Cheers got one

  • Thanks OP, just got one. :)

  • Thanks OP. Got this. Missed out last time.

  • I'm eligible for the offer but the only reasons I've signed up to Plus in the past were due to the occasional waiver of selling fees for Plus members (which did save me hundreds). Sadly those are few and far between now.

  • Clicked on the link and mine was $7.99, I must have had a different targeting. I think it's worth it even though I don't order that much any longer really

  • Bloody ripper!! Thanks op

  • Thanks OP. Handy if you're selling the odd expensive item + half price postage.

  • If you already have an ebay plus subscription and aren't eligiblefor the $10 sign up, you can get a $30 voucher for renewing your subscription.

I went through the process to cancel, selected too expensive as the reason, and they offered a $30 coupon to stay.

Coupon is unfortunately min spend $100, but better than nothing. Not sure if this coupon is give
to renewing customers anyway or if they only give it when you threaten to leave.
    Full coupon t's&c's https://pages.ebay.com.au/ebayplus/30-renew-membership-coupo…

    • In the past I think people have declined the $30 vouchers and later received a $50 rejoin voucher down the track. I declined the $30 the other day.

      • +1

Interesting, let me know if you get the $50 offer and what the min spend is!

  • Got the email today, only cancelled ebay plus last week!

    • +1

      Mine exp tomorrow, cant wait

  • Got targetted for the $10 offer. I made pretty good use of the last $5 offer especially with the $5 off $15 vouchers. Will give it another crack at $10 even though the new voucher minimum is a whole lot higher. Maybe the extra % discounts on various sales over the 12mnth will make up the difference …

  • Don’t do it I signed up for the $10they took $49 and now I can’t get any help to refund the difference or even the whole amount I’ve called 4 times since last Tuesday and been told it’s been escalated and I’m not the only one but they have to investigate and will be contacted with in 24-48 hrs but never a call. I’m at a loss what to do.

  • Confirming as confirmed above that now that my membership has ended I'm not eligible for this offer

    • Guess ebay doesn't understand if they not giving us $10 sign up. They will get $0 from us

    • When did it end? Mine that ended on 23/4 and was ineligible became eligible on 30/4.

      • Oh nice. Mine ended 30/4 so maybe in a week it will work

        • Same with me ends yesterday lets hope together

    • Same. 1 year membership ends 30 april, today link not giving $10 but full price

  • got nothing on my ebay plus acct which expired yesterday
ill wait for the $80 voucher for ebayplus again

  • I got this offer via sms… surprised how much they were willing to discount eBay Plus! I figured for $8, I'd make my money back with just a couple of coupon uses so let's see.

  • THANKS

  • anyone getting the "The system encountered an internal error." despite receiving the email from eBay?

    • I did. Tried a bunch of times and eventually worked.

  • +3

Ok so this just happened to me.
I did plus for 10 bucks last year and, hoping to receive an email for this offer, I let it expire few days ago without renewing it.
Never received the mail but decided to wait a bit longer and see.
Today I was looking at phones and saw the "fiddy bucks off with plus, try it for free" message under the price and after a click it gave me the possibility to have the first year for 7.99.
I clicked and asked me to confirm my card, just asking for the safety code as the rest of info was populated already from my account, so I did and got an email welcome to ebay plus even if this would be my second year and not the first.
5 minutes later I receive a mail with transaction declined and plus cancelled, so I try again and put a different card in.. bam, successful.
    Another year for 7.99.
Must be a glitch or something, you might get lucky if you do the try it now for free route.
    Good luck
    Happy days

    • +1

similiar. my discounted one year membership just expired 30 april i didnt renew and today 7th may on main ebay page i saw the 10$ offer for a year.

  • 2 weeks later after my $10 discounted membership offer which I paid for, I've been charged the full price for $49. Live chat says I have to wait 3-5 days for a response from billing department. Such BS.

    • This just happened to me too. About to jump on the live chat. Annoying.

      • What.. I see my cc has debit of $10 . You say that will change to 49??

        • They charged me a second time at $49. eBay chat said there was a technical issue and has affected a number of customers. They are aware of issue and working through refunding people affected.

  • Me three, charged an additional $49 today.
Same story from CS that it's a Tech issue and will be refunded in 3-4 days

  • For anyone who attempted to sign up to this offer before it was fixed and contacted CS, it looks like they are giving away free eBay Plus because of it.

    Hi,

Thank you for reaching out to us about the offer to sign up for an annual eBay Plus membership at a reduced price. Unfortunately, we have discovered a technical issue which has prevented you from signing up at the discounted price.

Please be assured that this is a top priority, and we're actively working to resolve this issue.

As a gesture of goodwill, we would also like to offer you a $7.99 coupon. Please allow 48 hours for this coupon to appear on your account. You may also find this coupon at checkout.

Thank you for your understanding. Please don't hesitate to reach out if you experience any other issues.
