I got this before Xmas and it's got a pretty impressive amount of gear in it for the price. Not the best price ever but I don't think we will ever match the $50 it was previously. Screwdriver isn't ratcheting but it's still good. Save it for Xmas or just tear the whole thing apart for the tools right now.

I have this set, OP means screwdriver is non-ratcheting, not that it stops ratcheting.

It's weird that people feel the need to attack someone for mentioning a cheaper price but not posting it on Ozbargain at the time. It's like someone attacking you for only making 7 posts since 2018…
Perhaps that person didn't feel the cheaper price was a deal in itself, hence the higher price is definitely not a deal either.
It also makes a good reference point if someone is tracking prices (a bit like camel x3).

OP wrote that the current price is not the best price ever and his doubts that it will ever be as low as $50. Jessie Ryder says this isn’t really a deal — so what? Should we now only post ATL deals? If your answer is yes, then probably 90% of posts wouldn’t exist. If your answer is no, then what’s your comfort threshold for price to be considered a deal and worth posting?
As for your “a good reference point if someone is tracking prices” — that’s if someone actually posted a $73 deal, and not just commented a discouraging “not really a deal”.

It was $73 three weeks ago, which means most likely it will be that price again soon.
It has been trending down since Jan.

They release a new calendar every year with different tools. The 2022 calendar is one of the best recently. The year is not written all over the box either.
