Great idea, just bought a pair with Telstra points as well
What does "FE" stand for?
Fan Edition
I thought it was Faithful Edition.
Wouldnt it be something in korean not english?
How were they able a fit a fan inside an ear bud?
Thought Finalize Early and had to double check the site
Similar prices from Kogan and Catch if you don't have a Telstra account.

Just for those concerned with warranty, etc. the catch and kogan ones are international stock. Telstra will most likely be using Australian stock.
Do samsung price match?
Same Price/ Points for Graphite
Great deal, I grabbed some with the edu store deal couple months back.
They've been great replacements for my lost original Galaxy Buds.
The ANC is really excellent, often performing better than my Sony Wh-1000xm3s.
ANC is really good, comparable to my airpods pro 2 imo. ambiance noise is good for the price, though nowhere near airpods pro
How's the call quality on these? I often hear that no matter what brand of earbuds, while they are great for listening to audio/music, being on phone calls is not such a great experience.
Can someone please share the experience when using these on phone calls.
Thank you
Unusable with noise cancelling off, excellent with it on.
Edit: haven't specifically checked the mic quality but no complaints so far from others.
+1 to this… Yes, interested in the Mic quality.
These are excellent value IMHO. I am finding myself using these in preference to my over-ear Sonys due to how convenient they are and the sound being more than good enough.
They are alleged to be 'bass heavy' but that is by people who ignore that most people subjectively prefer a bit more bass, they sound to me like they're not a mile off the Harman curve which is good for most music.
https://www.rtings.com/headphones/reviews/best/best-wireless…
They are rated to be best neutral sound
Not sure I trust rtings to do audio, that graph doesn't look right. IMHO they are indeed slightly bassy. This graph looks more likely to me:

Why does everyone keep describing these as budget? By all reports they sound as good if not better than high end buds, they’re just not a complete rip off.
Apparently comparable to airpods pro 2
Apparently comparable to airpods pro 2
I have both, ANC is on the same level for me, the Buds FE have better passive noise cancelation compared to the airpods which probably lead to ANC being similar. Transparency/ambient sound mode is not similar, but very good for the price
Budget because of the price. Would you be happy to buy this @$399 instead?
Also, budget doesn’t mean less features, it’s just that it’s cheaper than the ‘pro’ versions. And at $99, certainly a budget value for many of us.
because they are the ones who contributed to consumer inflation, willing to buy stuff at higher and higher prices until we found money to be hard to get again
I don't have a Telstra ID, is there a way to get it for this price, without?
I just got it price matched at officeworks for $94.05
Just tried pricematch via JB hifi online chat - they refused, citing the need to have telstra id.
Did you just log in on the My Telstra app and show them the price?
Head into Telstra store. You don’t have to have Telstra ID if you buy it from the store.
Thanks op. My beats headphones gave up the ghost a few days ago and I have been looking for a decent quality pair for watching tv. These have great reviews and didn't break the bank. Bought from Kogan for similar price.

nice & comfy
Great pair of buds for the price
Thanks peepz, pricebeat at OW. Great fit extremely light compared to others
These don't work with voice calls on whatsapp/messenger/signal etc
That's annoying
How so? as in there's literally no sound, or some aspect of them is not great?
When using messenger apps the mic defaults to the actual phone mic not the buds and there is no way of changing it. You can hear the other end on the buds but you'll need to hold the phone up to talk. The buds don't give mic access to these apps and I wish I bought something else despite only paying $50. For all other uses, they are excellent.
no luck at ow, will just order from Telstra
Same no luck at OW punchbowl. Ordered from telstra.
if purchased in store do they ask to see telstra ID or can anyone buy them?
Telstra id not needed at the store.
Just got it price beat at Officeworks Keysborough $94.05. Thank you for the deal and thank you @ponchus.
How did you get it? I just tried Officeworks Keysborough and they wouldn’t do it because you need to be a Telstra customer.
Also got no love (at a different OW) - they claimed it is listed as an 'accessory' price so assumed it needed to be purchased with a phone etc. Didn't have it in me to argue and there was already a line behind so gave up
@ozhaggler: yeah you got to explain to them that you can walk into any Telstra store and be able to purchase the buds at $99 without needing any member ID nor any galaxy phone. You can show them the terms and conditions clearly said that you only need Telstra ID for online purchase. Did you go into OW store?
@tle15: Yep went into an OW store - but didn't go through all of the Ts & Cs, good catch. Might try again later but for now am content with my buds-A :)
@ArnoldSchwarzenegger: did you talk to them on the phone or did you go into store?
I went into the store, grabbed the buds fe case on the shelf, approached one of the staff members at the front counter, I showed them Telstra website listing the buds for $99, which is cheaper, and asked them to price beat it. They called their supervisor, both had a look at the website on my phone and they went into Telstra website on their computer to see if the site, price, product code is legit, then they agreed to price beat. I can post the receipt if you need it :) Maybe you can try at another officeworks.
So how is this pair compared to its upper model buds 2 Pro?
From online web reviews, only the ANC is superior whilst most other qualities and features are better than the Buds2 Pro.
Data point…
Just bought a pair from JB (in-person), price matched - reluctantly. They only asked if I had a Telstra ID, which I did.
Wow impressed with this pair. Just walked into Telstra today to buy without subscription. Bought to replace my lost Sony wf-1000xm4 (suspect my then 1 year old threw it in the bin at home – not joking). The SGB FE is pretty good with some EQ tweaks, and best part, max volume is way louder than the Sony! Would pick this any day.
Thanks OP
I spoke too soon it gets quite uncomfortable for me despite the glowing comforting reviews, tried different ear tips and removed the wing tip and replaced with the included one (that doesn't have a wingtip) but it leaks out more noise than with the wing tip
I really wanted to like it
They won't work for everyone unfortunately, my ears just seem to hate all earbuds.
Yeap for sure. The best in-ear for my is the Jabra Elite 7 Pro, comfortable over hours doing housework and passive/active NC is way better than the FE
Give it a go if you haven't had any luck like I have
Bought one for $94.05 from OW Melton
Couldn't find white at the Telstra Rhodes store, so price-matched with Officeworks at West Ryde. Some initial barrier from the staff asking for a model no. which we couldn't find on the website, but they escalate to the manager who easily approved it.
got 1 ,thanks op
Is there an app I install when using them with P7 as I have installed all Samsung app.not shows up I can use!
Thanks just bought using 35800 telstra point
