      • How are some customers allowed the option to upgrade? Is this a whoever shouts loudest situation??

  • @luketechfast two questions please
    1) Warranty is only 12 months, can this be extended and at what cost?
    2) Can I get windows instead installed. Cost?

    Thanks

    • +1

It's all on there website when you go to the build it tells you all the costs you are asking about

    • +1

Both of these are upgrade options when you click the link

  • @luketechfast Hi Luke, my order from a previous deal arrived yesterday with minor damage to the case.
I've already sent an enquiry using the form on your site, but can I ask what the options typically are besides sending the entire thing back?

    Invoice is TF4883888296.

    Cheers

    • +2

Happens from time to time - generally a refund of the shipping fee or case value can apply. Or if it's say a damaged front or side panel that can be swapped, send one out. Things like feet which are pop riveted in are a little trickier to replace

  • Hey Luke, will Paypal/Zip/Afterpay be made as payment options for this deal in the future? Doesn't currently allow an option other than cc

    • Their fees make it prohibitive on Ozb deals sorry

  • How many sata drives can I store & connect?

    • 2x m.2
      6x sata

You can expand on those with pci card with more connectors.

      • Plenty of space to bring across my set then. Thank you.

        • Just a second, saw a vid of case, scratching my head on where to mount extra drives. 3.5” sata. We sure this can fit?

          • @muzzakus: They are on the motherboard you will have plenty of space

            • @Mattlam: Thanks that makes sense, but what about the case? Where do they mount. There is very little information on the case on vendor website.

              • @muzzakus: There should be space for multiple in the case for sure

                • @Mattlam: I’m suspecting only 2, but it’s impossible to confirm. Have sent msg to seller.

              • @muzzakus: The fishbowl style cases don't seem to have HDD cages, they're designed for people who chuck a couple of m.2 drives straight onto the mobo and leave it at that. You'll need a different style case.

                • @LoftyAu: Out of the case upgrade options available on this deal, would you be able to tell me if any can hold 4 x 3.5” drives?

  • Is it possible to change the mobo from the MSI 650M Gaming WiFi to the PRO B650M-A, PRO B650M-P or equivalent PRO B650M-A Wifi variants?

    • No sorry, just what's listed.

  • Just a quick question is the base 750w gold standard PSU is from allied? If i upgrade to the 850w, would it be from a different brand like gigabytes? Thanks.

    • 750 Gold is FSP. 850 Gold is MSI

      • Hi @luketechfast do you have exact models for both these PSU's?

About to pull the trigger, just want to know what PSU for my peace of mind.

        Cheers.

        • +1

FSP is a system builder only model, not sure there is much info on it. It's a fixed cable model. The MSI is A850GL

  • Hey luke, how much longer is this gonna be active for?

    • Hard to say mate. If it goes down it will come back again at some point because it's a good combo

  • +1

Hey Luke, does the b650 mobo have 4 ram slots? I've seen plenty of matx in recent years accommodating 4 so figured I'd check haha

  • @luketechfast is the only cooling option here the 120mm liquid cooler ? this build compared to the equivalent 7900XT build are pretty much the same other than GPU differences ?

    • Hi mate, if you email the team at [email protected] they can look into other cooler options if you'd like. And yeah basically the same aside from that gpu difference and stock cooler option.

  • +1

Hey could I switch the liquid CPU cooler for a cheaper air option? like the peerless assassin or similar
I dislike the pump noise and the risk of liquid leaking and damagning components

    • Even a swap to their tower cooler they're using in their 4080S build would be good

  • Hey Luke, I just ordered this for my son! Thanks you

  • +3

Mine arrived Friday, upgraded the ram and SSD.

Ordered April 8, arrived April 26 (keeping in mind multiple public holidays. I’m happy with that).

Great build, cyberpunk 100+ fps ultra ray tracing + DLSS3. Even pure raster you’re getting 60+. 3440x1440 resolution

I took it apart and it’s put together fantastically, good cable management. Boot time longer than expected but that can be fixed swapping out the SSD with a quicker one. Tbf I’m talking 15 seconds vs my previous NUC’s 3 second boot. So still no time at all

Note that the motherboard needs an antenna connected (provided) for wifi/bluetooth. But it doesn’t have any magnets so I’ve stuck it down to my table.

    Couldn’t be happier. Cheers team

    • Thanks heaps for the feedback BlairG. Enjoy the new build!

    • Which RAM did you go for?

      • 32 gig option

    • What SSD was included and what did you replace it with?

  • +1

Hi i don't see an upgrade option to 32gb ram

    • I'm seeing it, are you guys still not?

  • There's no choice for 32gb of ram..

    • I'm seeing it, are you guys still not?

  • Hi @luketechfast, is this deal expired now? Discount isn't working when I input the code. Hoping it's still valid pls

    • Back working, thanks

  • @techfast is it possible to upgrade to 32GB of RAM. Also scrolling through the comments I believe this build uses MSI B650M GAMING WIFI
    https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B650M-GAMING-WIFI/support

Is it possible to upgrade to MSI B650M GAMING PLUS WIFI - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/B650M-GAMING-PLUS-WIFI/Speci…
    or MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI - https://www.msi.com/Motherboard/PRO-B650M-A-WIFI

  • Hi @luketechfast, got my PC yesterday but noticed that there is quite a bit of coil whine from the GPU.

I also got an Asus Prime b650m-a WiFi ii motherboard rather than the listed MSI, which I guess is fine but would have been nice to know if other parts were also in use.

I've sent an email already, but thought I'd ask here as well. Is coil whine something you guys do an RMA/swap out for?

    Order number is TF4885705565.

    Thanks

    • Best left to the support guys as I believe it is case by case on given evidence/assessment

    • Heya, just wondering what the outcome of this? Looks like its a common issue with these cards - https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/844116
Was looking to pull the trigger but now I'm hesitant haha

      • +1

Support have said the coil whine does seem excessive so I've sent it in for RMA which hopefully means a replacement, will have to wait and see.

        • +2

          Just an update.

Apparently the coil whine was confirmed by PNY to be a common amount for the model so I guess buyer beware (I thought it was excessive). However, Techfast did send me a replacement card. It still has a bit of coil whine, but seems to be better than the previous one. So in the end, I'm happy enough.

  • Hey @luketechfast
how many RAM slots are available on the mobo?

    • +1

At least 2 - the MSI board has 2 and the Asus has 4 - as we're using both I can't guarantee which unfortunately.

  • Can I upgrade to a 360mm AIO cooler? Do I just order then email support to upgrade (then pay the upgrade separately?)

    • I'm not affiliated, but I believe so. Make sure that the case can support a 360mm AIO (such as the Antec P20c)

      • Second this. I contacted support and was advised they can arrange for the 360mm after the order has gone through. This upgrade option is not listed as the 360mm is not compatible with the default case option, so make sure you select the case that can support it as mentioned above.

The only thing stopping me from getting this deal is they're using Asus B650M-A Wifi II Prime mobo in this configuration, and I'd prefer a MSI mobo.

        • So what is the extra cost to have the air cooler instead of the water pump one?

  • Hi Luke, I just placed an order for today for the 4070TIS, build plus some added extras however I forgot to apply my code at checkout. I've sent an email, could you please help with this? thanks!

    • Yep that will get sorted for you, no stress.

  • Placed order on the 28th April, still waiting order to be built… still slow asf…definitely last time gonna order a prebuild from these guys…lesson learnt again for my laziness

    • Same, ordered on 28th, got a message on Saturday saying it’s in build stage, tho I’ve heard they take time on their ozbargain orders, as long as everything is in order I don’t mind, given the great prices they offer

      • Do they really have anything else than ozbargain orders ? I’m not expecting anyone to buy full price except @medical
